A Harrowing Look At Joe Biden’s Top Choices for The Cabinet
Joe Biden may have presented himself as a moderate alternative to some of the more radical Democrats sharing the primary stage with him, but how long will it be until he sheds that skin and hands his administration over to the “woke”? This guy is a one-term president if we’ve ever seen one, which means he has no reason to really worry about doing damage to his re-election chances. If he wants to go hard left with his presidency, there’s not much to stop him (other than the Senate…and we’ll still have to see about that).
In an interview with “Meet the Press” this weekend, Biden’s campaign chief said that people like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would not “be disappointed” with the agenda the president-elect plans to roll out. Well, those are strong words, considering just how far to the left the New York congresswoman is. And now that we have some preliminary insight into who Biden might pick for his Cabinet, the chances of this turning into a radical, whacked-out circus are higher than ever.
“We’re going to be moving along in a consistent manner putting together our administration, the White House, reviewing who we’re going to pick for the Cabinet positions,” Biden said Tuesday. “I hope we’re able to be in a position to let people know, a least a couple, that we want before Thanksgiving.”
Ah, Thanksgiving. That time of year when we start eating too much and pretty much don’t quit until after Christmas. Well, if you’re looking to keep the calories under budget this year, just take a look at some of the names being bandied about for prominent positions in the Biden administration. You’ll lose your appetite in a hurry.
Attorney General: Xavier Becerra, the California AG who spent the last four years suing the Trump administration and doing everything in his power to enforce illegal immigration laws in his state. And no, we don’t mean enforcing laws against illegal immigration – we mean enforcing laws that punish individuals and businesses who alert the authorities to the presence of these aliens.
Bonus Possibilities: Sally Yates, Stacey Abrams.
Treasury Secretary: Elizabeth Warren is one of the top contenders for this position, and that will singlehandedly cause the Dow Jones to crash. Her crusade against Wall Street borders on the pathological, and she’ll see to it that we never fully recover from the coronavirus recession.
Secretary of State: The strongest contender appears to be Susan Rice, the former U.N. ambassador who peddled lies in the wake of the Benghazi attack and, as national security adviser to Obama, presided over the unmasking of U.S. citizens like Michael Flynn. Just who we need leading out nation’s diplomatic efforts.
Oh, and in case you’re still craving some of that pumpkin pie, remember that Bernie Sanders is pushing hard to become Biden’s Labor Secretary.
Are we absolutely sure that we can’t just redo this election?
