Ann Coulter Calls Trump a “Disloyal Retard” in Inexplicable Twitter Rant

Conservative author and commentator Ann Coulter has been waffling back and forth between supporting President Trump and bashing him for most of the last couple of years, but not until this weekend have we seen her go this far off the rails in trashing the man she once revered as the savior of America. Coulter has long been disillusioned with Trump in regards to illegal immigration, which she considers to be the most important issue facing the country, but in her unhinged Twitter rant on Sunday, she signaled that she’s breaking with the president once and for all.

Coulter was set off by Trump’s on-going efforts to help former football coach Tommy Tuberville defeat former Attorney General Jeff Sessions in the Alabama Senate primaries.

“3 years ago, after Jeff Sessions recused himself, the Fraudulent Mueller Scam began. Alabama, do not trust Jeff Sessions. He let our Country down. That’s why I endorsed Coach Tommy Tuberville (@TTuberville), the true supporter of our #MAGA agenda!” Trump tweeted.

This was all Coulter needed to hear.

“3 years ago, a complete moron of a president told NBC’s Lester Holt, ‘I was going to fire Comey. … [W]hen I decided to just do it I said to myself, I said, ‘You know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story.’’ BAM! SPECIAL PROSECUTOR!” Coulter wrote.

“The most disloyal actual retard that has ever set foot in the Oval Office is trying to lose AND take the Senate with him. Another Roy Moore fiasco so he can blame someone else for his own mess,” she continued in a second tweet. “Trump didn’t build the wall and never had any intention of doing so. The ONE PERSON in the Trump administration who did anything about immigration was Jeff Session. And this lout attacks him.”

Still not done, Coulter wrote: “COVID gave Trump a chance to be a decent, compassionate human being (or pretending to be). But he couldn’t even do that.”

After writing another FIVE redundant, angry tweets (is Jeff Sessions her secret lover??), Coulter finally got around to finishing off her rant.

“I will never apologize for supporting the issues that candidate Trump advocated, but I am deeply sorry for thinking that this shallow and broken man would show even some remote fealty to the promises that got him elected,” she concluded.

Yeesh. We know that being stuck inside due to the coronavirus can lead to heightened emotions, crushing boredom, and, perhaps a bit of poor judgment, but this was really off the rails. Every time Coulter goes on one of her anti-Trump screeds, we want to shake her and ask, “Who, exactly, do you think could have done better?” And if the answer is “me,” then hell, go throw your hat into the ring and get it done, Ann.

Until then, maybe you ought to relax.
