Hillary Clinton Vs. Tulsi Gabbard: A Democrat Slapfight Gets Ugly

A slapfight broke out in Democrat World this week when Hillary Clinton, always looking for a way to blame Russia for all of her political woes, suggested that Rep. Tulsi Gabbard was likely going to become an asset of Moscow in the upcoming election.

In an interview with podcaster David Plouffe, the former secretary of State said, “I’m not making any predictions, but I think [Russia] has got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate.”

Clinton did not call out Gabbard by name, but anyone with a pulse could figure out who she was talking about. Calling Gabbard a Russian asset has become a popular hobby in the liberal blogosphere, mostly because she opposes American intervention in the Middle East, which happens to coincide with Russia’s plans for Syria. Liberals, who basically decide whether they are pro- or anti-war depending on who is in power at the time, despise her for not being sufficiently focused on the three pillars of modern party policy: hating Trump, pushing political correctness, and turning the country into a socialist utopia.

Clinton, who no doubt has a Google alert on her phone that notifies her every time the word “Russia” is mentioned, said that 2016 Green Party candidate Jill Stein was the original Moscow-endorsed spoiler.

“Yes, she’s a Russian asset, I mean, totally,” Clinton said. “They know they can’t win without a third-party candidate.”

They, being Russia. We guess?

Gabbard, who unlike Hillary or her husband actually served her country, did not take kindly to being smeared with this Manchurian conspiracy. She responded in kind on Twitter, accusing Clinton of being “the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long.”

Damn. And you thought Trump was brutal on Hillary.

“It’s now clear that this primary is between you and me,” Gabbard continued. “Don’t cowardly hide behind your proxies. Join the race directly.”

While none of the 2020 Democrats appear eager to jump into the mix to defend Hillary Clinton, a few of them did see fit to join Gabbard’s side. Andrew Yang said that Gabbard, a vet, “deserves much more respect and thanks than this,” while Marianne Williamson said “the character assassination of women who don’t toe the party line will backfire.”
