Man Kicked Out of Restaurant for Harassing MAGA-Hat Wearing Customer

In an environment where Democrats are actively encouraging their lunatic supporters to harass, threaten, and attack anyone who works for or supports President Donald Trump, it’s no surprise that it happens with great regularity. But it is always nice to remember that not everyone is drinking the Kool-Aid served up by the likes of Maxine Waters, Stephanie Wilkinson, and Antifa. Some people just want to run a nice, friendly restaurant without having it overrun by zealous “Resistance” members who don’t know when to sit down, shut up, and mind their own business.

Such people apparently run the Hill Country Barbecue Market in Washington, D.C. When they realized that an idiot Democrat was confronting one of their customers for wearing a “Make America Great Again” cap on the 4th of July, they didn’t hesitate to tell him to get out…and stay out. So it was that T.J. Helmstetter took to social media so he could complain to his fellow leftists about how shocking it was that HE – a fine, upstanding social justice warrior – was kicked out of a restaurant while an evil Trump supporter was allowed to stay inside!

Helmstetter and his friends showed up to the restaurant around 8:30 p.m. on Independence Day to find the place packed. Considering that there were thousands of visitors in D.C. to see the national fireworks celebration and listen to President Trump’s speech, it should not have come as a surprise to Helmstetter that there were a few Trump supporters in the establishment. Even so, he was apparently burned to his core when he looked at the bar and saw a man wearing to iconic hat.

“We had just walked in when I saw the guy sitting by the bar with the MAGA hat,” Helmstetter recounted on Twitter. “I said, ‘Hey, are you from D.C.?”

When the man said he was not, the leftist decided to put him in his place. Pointing to his hat, he said, “We don’t tolerate racism in this city.”

Irritated by this imbecile, the woman sitting with the MAGA-hat wearing customer stood up and began shouting back at Helmstetter. According to him, she jabbed her fingers into his chest while making her point.

“I’m sure I said more things then,” he acknowledged to the Washington Post. “Don’t remember what.”

We’re sure it was very intelligent and thoughtful, whatever it was.

“I might have said get your f—ing hands off of me or something like that,” he said.

Right.

At that point, a manager at the restaurant came over and told Helmstetter to find someplace else to eat. Agog at this treatment, he told his followers on social media that the restaurant “chose to protect the Nazi’s right but not mine.”

Just in case there was any lingering doubt about what kind of idiot this guy is.

But if it restores your faith in the world, you’ll be happy to know that social media users were entirely unsympathetic to Helmstetter’s plight.

“I used to live around the corner from Hill Country and knew the owner,” tweeted one user. “Have no idea what his politics are but I do know that he probably wouldn’t tolerate someone harassing people in his restaurant. You know, the way you did.”

Another user said: “You didn’t stand up to a Nazi. You harassed a guy for wearing a hat you don’t like and called him a Nazi because he doesn’t agree with your politics. You threw a hissy fit, made a scene and got asked to leave as a result.”

Unfortunately, Helmstetter himself appears to be beyond salvation. He told the Post that “progressives and any concerned person who thinks that we shouldn’t cage brown children in American concentration camps should respond vociferously to these people at every opportunity.”

Have fun with that. Keep it up, and you may look back on this incident as a warning sign that you should have taken seriously.
