Transgender Wins Women’s Cycling Event – Says Biological Advantage is “Irrelevant”
Rachel McKinnon is not a woman, but he pretends to be one.
Not that long ago, Rachel would have been the subject of abject mockery everywhere he went, and he certainly would have been excluded from competing in women’s sports since…well…he’s not a woman. But in today’s utterly unhinged culture wars, Rachel McKinnon is accepted as a woman, allowed to compete against biological women, and is celebrated as some kind of social justice champion when he defeats women at sports. As he did this week, when he took home the top prize at the 2018 UCI Masters Track Cycling World Championships in Los Angeles.
McKinnon celebrated his victory with a post on Twitter: “First transgender woman world champion…ever.”
Err, great job, dude. You went out there with your testosterone and your natural male advantages and you beat a bunch of biological women…just the same as, oh, we’d say, the top fifty or so male cyclists in the other category could do on any given day.
But McKinnon doesn’t want to hear any of that.
“We cannot have a woman legally recognized as a trans woman in society, and not be recognized that way in sports,” McKinnon told USA Today earlier this year. “Focusing on performance advantage is largely irrelevant because this is a rights issue. We shouldn’t be worried about trans people taking over the Olympics. We should be worried about their fairness and human rights instead.”
That’s fine and all, but this IS a sporting issue and the only reason anyone is talking to you is that you are winning in sports competitions against women who simply can’t compete. Where the hell is the feminist brigade when you need them?
If it is so important for McKinnon to compete, he should compete against the men. If it’s so important that he be recognized for his snowflake gender identity, then he should petition the cycling community to open up a special event for transgender people like him. If he’s not good with either of these options, then he should go see a therapist and get his larger life issues straightened out. This is completely unfair, completely insane, and it’s time for right-thinking people to stand up and say, “Enough is enough.”
