Trump Fires Acting AG For Stunning Insubordination

fired

For a couple of hours, the big news on Monday evening was that Sally Yates, the acting attorney general, announced publicly that the Justice Department would not defend President Trump’s executive order on immigration and refugees. Yates penned a letter late in the day to DOJ lawyers telling them to let challenges to the White House order go unanswered.

“At present, I am not convinced that the defense of the executive order is consistent with these responsibilities, nor am I convinced that the executive order is lawful,” Yates wrote.

To say that such a letter is unusual would be an understatement. Not since 1973 has the head of the Justice Department defied the president in such clear and unambiguous terms. In that instance, Attorney General Elliot Richardson refused to obey President Richard Nixon’s order to fire special prosecutor Archibald Cox and was asked to resign as a result.

While the circumstances in 2017 are dissimilar to the “Saturday Night Massacre” of ’73 in many ways, Yates’s fate was that of Richardson’s. Only hours after Yates denounced Trump’s order, she was given a handwritten note: “The president has removed you from the office of Deputy Attorney General of the United States.”

Trump replaced Yates with U.S. Attorney Dana Boente, who said he would defend the president’s executive order banning immigrants from seven dangerous countries for 90 days.

In a statement, the White House said Yates had “betrayed” the Justice Department with a politically-motivated objection to the president’s order.

“Ms. Yates is an Obama administration appointee who is weak on borders and very weak on illegal immigration,” the statement said.

Democrats quickly portrayed Trump’s decision to fire Yates as a “chilling” triumph of politics over the law – which is, of course, the exact opposite of what actually happened.

The truth is that the DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel had already approved the executive order with respect to its legality; Yates’s defiance was purely political. She made this clear in her letter, which made reference to earlier statements the White House had made and consternation over whether or not the order was “wise or just.” This wasn’t about the law; this was about Yates’s personal beliefs and her allegiance to Barack Obama.

It is true that the Justice Department must have some degree of independence and autonomy, but that doesn’t mean the president should sit idly by and watch his attorney general undermine his authority in the absence of legitimate cause. There was no such cause in this case, and Yates deserved to be fired.

Good. Maybe now people will see that their jobs are at stake, and if they don’t care about their jobs, then they need to quit before going against President Trump.

The high cost of illegals ($113 billion per year)

It is no secret that the southern U.S. border is open, allowing
thousands of people to pour into the country illegally. Ironically,
Congressmen on both sides of the aisle in Washington are not inclined or
don’t have the will to do anything about it. Although most support
legal immigration, there are huge differences on how each side believes
illegal immigrants and the security of our borders should be handled.

        Liberals
generally support amnesty for those that enter the U.S. illegally.
They also believe that ―undocumented immigrants‖ should have all the
educational and health benefits that citizens receive including
financial aid, welfare, social security, and Medicaid.

        Conservatives
are against amnesty for those who enter the U.S. illegally. They
believe that those who break the law by entering the U.S. illegally do
not have the same rights as those who enter legally and obey the law.
They also believe that the Federal Government should do a better job
        enforcing current immigration laws.

        Whether you call them
―illegal immigrants‖ or you call them ―undocumented immigrants, the
undisputed fact remains that when a person crosses the border without
the proper authority, he/she is breaking U.S. immigration law. Just to
be clear, there may be some immigrants that had green cards (or other
legal authority) that either did not renew or replace an expired or lost
card. This would be analogous to someone who let their driver‘s
license expire and then proceeded to drive a car. They would be doing
so illegally. Nevertheless, to put all illegal immigrants into the
        undocumented immigrant category is ludicrous.

        It is estimated
that there are between 11 and 30 million illegal immigrants in the
country and that they account for 13.6% of all crime in the United
States. No matter where you stand on this issue, the facts show that
the direct and indirect financial costs are enormous. The following
2013 statistics were extracted from the website fairus.org.1 Illegal
immigration costs U.S. taxpayers about $113 billion a year at the
federal, state and local level. Most of the costs (around $84 billion)
are absorbed by state and local governments. That amounts to an average
of $1,117 per household. The variance per household is higher or lower
depending on the demographics of illegal alien populations. Education
costs absorbed by state and local governments are estimated at $52
billion annually. Although illegal immigrants that work are required to
pay income tax, most don’t. Those that do get much of it refunded
because they are in such a low income bracket.
        According to the
Bureau of Economic Analysis, illegal immigrants residing in the U.S.
send $50 billion back to their home countries each year.2 When you
include legal immigrants, The World Bank estimates the amount to be $120
billion.3 That is money that is not put back into the U.S. Economy.

        According
to National Review, $1.87 billion was spent in 2014 on incarcerating
illegal criminal immigrants.4 In 2009; the Department of Homeland
Security estimated the percentage of illegal immigrants that are
incarcerated to be between 11 and 15 percent of the country’s prison
population.5 Almost all the financial burden was shouldered by the
states. The State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP), which is a
federally funded program, does pay for some cost.6 However, it does
not really matter because it all comes out of taxpayer dollars.

        The
Government Accountability Office (GAO), using official Department of
Justice data on criminal immigrants in the nation‘s correctional system,
reported the following: – Between 2008 and 2014, 40% of all murder
convictions in Florida were by criminal immigrants. In New York it was
34% and Arizona 17.8%. In addition, during those years, criminal
immigrants accounted for 38% of all murder convictions in the five
states of California, Texas, Arizona, Florida and New York.7 That 38%
represents 7,085 murders out of the total of 18,643.

        It gets
worse: Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) removed (deported)
235,413 criminal illegal immigrants nationwide in 2015, 49% percent of
whom had previously been convicted of a criminal offense.8 Although the
numbers are down since 2012, they are still substantial. Do the
reduced numbers mean that there are less illegal immigrants coming into
the country or does it mean that ICE has less resources to do their job
or does it mean they are told to stand down? In 2013 and 2014 ICE set
free more than 66,000 illegal immigrant criminals who had over
        166,000
convictions (30,000 for drunk or drug impaired driving, 414
kidnappings, over 11,000 rapes or other sexual assaults, and 395
homicides).9 Since their release, many of those have already been
convicted of new crimes including felonies.

        It gets worse: The
invasion of illegal immigrants has established and empowered many in the
form of street gangs. Their growth is fueled by money obtained easily
through drug smuggling and sales. A 2011 FBI report makes many
connections between the Mexican drug cartels and various U.S.based
gangs.10 An out of hand financial and social disruption cost to
American citizens just continues to grow.

        To make matters worse
yet: Laws in sanctuary cities help shield illegal immigrants from
deportation, despite astonishing statistics on violent crimes committed
by illegal immigrants. These laws, in many cases, are in direct
opposition to Federal immigration laws. Sadly, the U.S. Senate refuses
to crack down on America‘s nearly 300 sanctuary cities.
        A 2014
Reuters article stated that a Reuters/Ipsos poll showed that 70% of
Americans are deeply worried that illegal immigration is threatening the
nation‘s culture and economy.11 Concerns include job losses, the
social landscape, how much insurance costs rise, and other related
        issues.
Since illegal immigrants typically take low skill, low paying
jobs, it would be logical to surmise that some portion of those jobs
are being taken away from legal immigrants. When that happens, few good
choices remain for them. They are usually left with the choice to go
back to their home country, get some kind of aid, or enter a life of
        crime.

Illegal immigration is totally out of control and our
elected leaders know it. Securing the borders and fixing the illegal
immigration problem should be demanded by the American people.
Unfortunately, only about six percent of the population thinks it is a
major problem (a sharp decline since 2014). They are either not aware
of the enormity of the issue or they are more concerned about other
        issues.

The social landscape is rapidly changing and it puts all
legal citizens at risk for the security of their families and homes. As
a consequence, it reduces their choices as to where they live, shop,
        and travel.

          You pray to Allah.
Allah is the Arabic word for God.

          the God of Abraham.

The Aramaic word for “God” in the language of Assyrian Christians is ʼĔlāhā, or Alaha. Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, including Christians and Jews, use the word “Allah” to mean “God”.

          • richardwfaith

The problem is that one of the two “Allahs” of discourse exhorts us to seek salvation and offers forgiveness and the other wants his followers to spread the SO-CALLED “religion” by force, conquest, taxation or beheading. If the “two” are indeed ONE, then by YOUR logic God must be schizophrenic. On the other hand, maybe, just maybe, these two “Allahs” evolved or morphed in two dramatically different directions.

          • AKLady

Allah is the Arabic word for God. It is not the name of a god.

It translates “One God”. Despite the Christian “schizophrenic” Father, Son and Holy Ghost, there is only one God.

On page one of Genesis in the Old Testament, you will find find the word “Allah” seventeen times. “Allah” is the same word used by Christian Arabs and Jewish Arabs in their Bible, centuries before Islam came.

Your post is GGRRRRREEEAAAAAT, but it misses one very important point: soro$$$$$$ has hi$ $h!+ -hooks deeply embedded into the media also! It is important for ALL AMERICANS to fully understand the mechanics of how his evil agenda against our country works. Why the Hell hasn’t President Trump EXTRADITED this creep to Russia, where an arrest warrant awaits him? That would WORK, as opposed to the futility of going through courts and LOY-YIZZ, knowing full well that soro$$$$$$ has sufficient wealth to PURCHASE an entire LEGION of courts and LOY-YIZZ with a tiny fraction of it.

Just remember that none of President Trump’s GOODNESS is in any way due to the fact that he ran as a Republican. The top echelon of the Republican Party command hates him at least as much as the democRATs do. Thank God, he WON “over their dead bodies”! What will lead us into folly and error every time is failure to understand that we are suffering under a ONE-PARTY SYSTEM, whose two “heads” are the “two” part”ieS”, and which is owned outright and OPERATED by the Globalist CABAL. Hence, the GOODNESS of President Trump resides ENTIRELY in the fact that HE IS HIS OWN MAN.

        • big KAhuna

          Richard
There is a lot of truth in your words. I believe most of us who voted for him where
Fed up with the lieing/corrupt DC crowd. Also a big plus was the fact that he was already
Rich and couldn’t be bought. He wasn’t a polished politician or part of the D.C. Establishment- a true outsider willing to take on the massive problems Obama left us with — just an average joe as the framers intended. He had ideas on how to fix the problems and his big ego/ work ethic would keep him on task. Above all he wasn’t caught up in the political correctness world that hides the truth. He don’t backdown and fires back at those who are trying to do him harm. The Alternative — Hildabeast wasn’t a possible option considering here constant lies/corruption, no vision, and offering to carry on Obamas dirty work. I predict that Trump will do more good for our country than all those before him. The amount of accomplishments in his first week are staggering and raises the Bar big time. Thank God and Donald Trump for turning it all around- we almost went over the edge (lost our country/freedoms). There is still a big smoking gun that must get addressed and fixed during his presidency– Muslims will never fit into our society they are brainwashed from birth to believe in the Koran ( Trash- it could never be the word of God it instructs them to kill all non Muslims — too corrosive and threatens our constitution/civilization). They must be sent back and the Koran must be Banned from all civilized societies. The new focus of our AG once in office should be to take down The world criminal Socialist George Sorros for Sedition/Treason – he is behind the corrupt Demonrat party and violent rallies etc etc.

            BINGO!!!

            Who’s responsible for Our problems?

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people.
When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red.
If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it’s because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan …
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.

Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,” “inflation,” or “politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses, provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees…

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!
Note this does not include the current POTUS and his Cabinet.

Insubordination! What are we a military dictatorship? It happens to be the AG’s duty to challenge the POTUS if there is a question of legality. Jeff Sessions (you remember, the dude tRump has nominated for AG) was VERY clear in that in the vetting of Sally Yates.

      • InternetCensorsREvil

Ummmm – WRONG. It is the responsibility of SCOTUS to challenge the constitutionality of any law or presidential order. It is the responsibility of the Department of Justice AG to uphold/enforce ALL laws and presidential orders whether he/she agrees with them or not.

        • Eric Hartman

ummmm- well not according to your boy’s boy Jeff Sessions grilling Sally Yates.
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3yDjylQ5Ps
Come on! Use a little common sense. Shouldn’t the AG be able to tell the POTUS that an action is illegal in their opinion without fear of reprisal? Or maybe is it not illegal if the PRESIDENT does it aka Richard M. nixon? It is not a matter of agreeing, it’s a matter of LEGALITY. Sheesh.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

I don’t care what Sessions or anyone else said. I gave the the constitutional facts. Period.

From the Department of Justice itself,

ORGANIZATION, MISSION & FUNCTIONS MANUAL: ATTORNEY GENERAL, DEPUTY AND ASSOCIATE

Attorney General | Deputy Attorney General | Associate Attorney General

            OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL

The position of Attorney General was created by the Judiciary Act of 1789. In June 1870 Congress enacted a law entitled “An Act to Establish the Department of Justice.” This Act established the Attorney General as head of the Department of Justice and gave the Attorney General direction and control of U.S. Attorneys and all other counsel employed on behalf of the United States. The Act also vested in the Attorney General supervisory power over the accounts of U.S. Attorneys and U.S. Marshals.

The mission of the Office of the Attorney General is to supervise and direct the administration and operation of the Department of Justice, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Bureau of Prisons, Office of Justice Programs, and the U.S. Attorneys and U.S. Marshals Service, which are all within the Department of Justice.

The principal duties of the Attorney General are to:

Represent the United States in legal matters.

Muslims are not barred from entering or immigrating to the United States under the provisions of the 1952 Immigration and Nationality Act, or U.S. Code § 1182.

It can be used now to exclude persons (both Muslims and non-Muslims) who have demonstrated an affiliation or sympathy with violent extremist groups professing Islamist motivations and goals (e.g., ISIL/Da’esh, al-Qaeda, Al-Shabaab, Boko Haram, etc.) from entering the U.S., but asserting that it enables a de facto ban on all Muslims is lacking in accuracy.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

Potential terrorists ARE barred from entering this country. In fact, the Secretary of State can simply declare an entire country to be ‘non grata’ if he or she so chooses.

NO ONE, not one single person on the face of this earth who isn’t already a US Citizen or legal resident, has the RIGHT to enter this country. If they come in it is because of our good graces and based upon the geo-political climate of the region from whence that person comes.

If a supplicant wishes to enter this country and comes from a region where terrorist activity is rampant, they get rejected. If they happen to be muslim – tough. If the entire region happens to be muslim – tough.

The US Constitution was deliberately written to be blind to religion. The president’s responsibility to safe guard this nation and the people who make up this nation is extended from the constitution.

US Code 1182 does not override the president’s primary constitutional responsibilities – were it to attempt to do so, it would be unconstitutional in its entirety.

Trumps EO bans ALL immigration from 7 nations, regardless of religion or race and so therefore does not violate 1182. It’s purpose is to allow the country to review our procedures to ensure that we can allow people in who will a) assimilate into our nation, b) who are not a threat to the peace and security of the legal residents and citizens of this country.

Most importantly, it is not a permanent ban – it is a temporary hold.

            Yes law has been broken

          • Eric Hartman

Are you really this ignorant? I already told you but you seem to have some kind of mental block.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

No, you have not cited ANY law which Trump’s EO has broken nor have you cited the part of the constitution which the EO is supposed to have violated.

You have stated that it is unconstitutional, or insinuated the same, that is NOT the same thing.

          • Eric Hartman

So you disagree that the Constitution is the law of the land?

          • InternetCensorsREvil

I do not. I have sworn an oath to protect the Constitution with my own blood if need be.

I DO disagree that any of Trump’s Executive Orders is unconstitutional or breaks any federal laws. If you disagree with that, then tell me which ones you think it violates and we can have polite discourse on that.

          • Eric Hartman

Very likely it is unconstitutional even though he tried to wrap it to disguise it as not being so,

“However, a closer look at the executive order’s origins makes clear that it is a direct assault on the fundamental constitutional values of equal protection and religious freedom. How do we know this? Because Trump’s adviser, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, told us so.

Interviewed on Fox News on January 28, Giuliani explained how the administration’s immigration policy morphed from one that was obviously unconstitutional to one that is more subtly so. Host Jeanine Pirro asked, “Does the ban have anything to do with religion?” In response, Giuliani said, “When [Trump] first announced it, he said ‘Muslim ban.’ He called me up, he said, ‘Put a commission together, show me the right way to do it legally.’” “It,” in this case, of course, is a ban on Muslims. Giuliani’s admission is a textbook case of drafting an order in a way that avoids overt declaration of animus against a religious or ethnic group, while retaining the motive and much of the effect. Unfortunately for Trump, courts can see through this kind of rhetorical manipulation. Sally Yates, the former acting attorney general, certainly did. When she refused to enforce the executive order on Monday, she suggested statements made by the administration and its surrogates led her to believe the order was legally suspect. On Tuesday, a senior Justice Department official confirmed Giuliani’s comments were part of her decision.

Federal courts have already begun to push back against the order, and their holdings suggest that they are on to Trump’s ruse as well. In California, Judge Dolly M. Gee ordered that Ali Khoshbakhti Vayeghan, a visa holder who had been deported from LAX to Dubai en route to Iran, be allowed to return to the United States, arguing that the order violated the 14th Amendment Equal Protection Clause and that it also constituted an “establishment” of religion, thus violating one of the two religion clauses of the First Amendment. In New York, Judge Ann M. Donnelly blocked the ban more broadly, granting temporary legal relief to multiple visa holders and refugees facing deportation, citing the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause and the right to due process. These legal arguments will eventually be considered in an appellate court and perhaps the Supreme Court. There, Giuliani’s statements could set the stage for a finding that the ruling is indeed based in animus and therefore a violation of the Equal Protection Clause, as these judges contend.”

Bottom line, would it not have been better to get advice from the AG and other legal experts before firing said persons and being a bull in a China Shop? One can wrap a turd in either Christmas paper or Birthday paper, but it is still a turd.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

“Very Likely?” So now you are back pedaling? Either it is or it is not. If it is, why didn’t the federal judge who ordered the stay declare it so and force Trump to take it to the Supreme Court?

I’ll tell you why, it ISN’T unconstitutional. It wasn’t unconstitutional when Obama did it in 2011. It wasn’t unconstitutional when Clinton did it; nor was it unconstitutional when Carter did it. If any liberal judge DOES take that step, then they are also stating that Carter, Clinton and Obama were wrong as well.

ANY attempt to connect a ruling of Trumps EO and the Establishment clause is purely judicial fiat. As for the Equal Protection Clause, while that applies to people living within our borders legally – refugees seeking entry into this country do not enjoy the protection of our Constitution.

Now, I fully expect judges in California and New York to get on the band wagon. They are liberal courts and have a vested interest in seeing Trump fail. Regardless, a judge’s order, short of it being the Supreme Court, only impacts that courts jurisdiction.

And who says he didn’t get a legal opinion from the Presidents Legal Counsel before doing so?

What liberals don’t like about it is that it is a Republican who is doing it and he is making it stick.

          • Eric Hartman

I hope you are prepared to eat your hat. Should I send salt and pepper? Maybe some green chile to make it more palatable?

          • InternetCensorsREvil

I’m prepared to accept that a judge may attempt judicial fiat and will, undoubtedly, declare the EO unconstitutional. I doubt SCOTUS will agree; however, time will tell.

          • Eric Hartman

Indeed, time will tell. So I guess that we can agree it is not cut and dried as of yet. I’ll accept that, thank you.

          • Eric Hartman

Oh BTW. What tRump did is NOT the same as what Carter and Obama did. Perhaps you should do some independent research and not rely on propaganda? As your Moniker states, there is a lot of information. Seems you are capable of doing your own internal censoring without the help of outside evil forces. Have a lovely day. I’ve bigger fish to fry.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

I’ve been doing nothing but research. I read what Obama and Carter did vis a vis stopping/slowing immigration to address an issue. I read what Clinton did vis a vis immigration reform.

While there are some logistical differences in how the orders were to be carried out, the intent in all three cases, Trump, Obama, Carter, was to target the potential for terrorist incursion into the US from a region which is fraught with terrorists and terrorist organizations.

The entire world can see what happens when liberals get their way with open borders simply by looking at the striff, chaos, crime in Germany and France as a result of those same policies. Is this what liberals want for this country? To rip it apart from the inside? To make it so their daughters and wives can’t safely walk the streets alone without fear of being gang raped?

Here is the logical result of that kind of thinking – at least in this country and in most states – women are going to start concealed carry. Men are going to start patrolling the streets, armed. Those lovely ‘immigrants’ you are all so worried about offending? They are going to get shot the moment they even approach one of our women with anything that looks like intent to do harm.

          • Eric Hartman

Quoting you, “while there are some logistical differences in how the orders were carried out” Good! That is the entire point I’m trying to make!!!! Wouldn’t you agree that those, what you call “logistical differences” make the difference in something being Constitutionally legal or not? In other words, instead of being the big bully bad ass and throwing his weight around and firing the very people that might could have helped him come up with a viable legal plan, he just had to be a big shot. He had to play reality TV and FIRE someone. As I said before, a bull in a China shop. As you properly stated, Obama and Carter have done similar. If I recall, Carter’s first try was deemed unconstitutional and WITH ADVICE he changed it. Why couldn’t Trump do the same or look at what had been done legally before?

If I didn’t say it before now, I’ll say it before someone else misconstrues where I’m coming from. I am NOT a hillary fan. I’m not whining because “we lost”. I am very disappointed that Trump “won” just for these reasons. And we will see many more.

All y’all seem to think that just anybody can get on a flying device or a boat and come here. That is WRONG. There currently is a long and involved process for refugees to get here. I’m not for “open borders” and I don’t think any reasonable person is, liberal or whatever persuasion. I do know some comments were taken out of context to propagandize this “open borders” BS. I don’t even want to get into that topic.

To quote FDR, “We have nothing to fear but fear itself”. I’m not trying to downplay the problem, but there is a good way to go about thng and a bad way. IMHO, tRump is playing right into the hands of the “evil doers”. he is being their best recruiting tool. Turning in a country of vigilantes is not much of a solution either.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

Wouldn’t you agree that those, what you call “logistical differences” make the difference in something being Constitutionally legal or not?

In a word… No, I don’t agree. I agree that it COULD make the difference, if there were actually sufficient difference. Sadly for your, there is not. Which is why there are a lot of liberal judges making a lot of noise but not a one of them has stepped forward to slap an ‘unconstitutional’ sticker on it.

In other words, instead of being the big bully bad ass and throwing his weight around and firing the very people that might could have helped him come up with a viable legal plan, he just had to be a big shot.

Ummm, he is The President of the United States. That pretty much makes him the ‘tallest hog in the trough’. In other words, he IS a big shot.

All y’all seem to think that just anybody can get on a flying device or a boat and come here. That is WRONG.

DAYUM! Today just isn’t your day. Wrong again. People get on boats from Cuba and Haiti and float over here all the time. I don’t suppose you’ve been down in the Miami area recently? If you speak English, you are a minority.

I’m not for “open borders” and I don’t think any reasonable person is, liberal or whatever persuasion.

Well, I don’t think anyone can accuse any liberal of being reasonable. But then again, they would consider me unreasonable because I take a textualists view toward interpretation of the Constitution and what it means.

The constitution charges the federal government with the protection of its people (provide for the national defense, I think are the exact words). The president swears an oath to uphold and defend the constitution.

It is, therefore, only reasonable to walk the world with one’s eyes open, see the chaos and strife which are growing in Germany and France, who have a very open and permissive immigration policy, if you are from the middle east, and say, “Not on my watch will this happen here.” I say that all the time the difference is, the president can say that and actually do something about it and he has.

The one thing in all this that everyone seems to forget is that outside of basic human rights, refugees have no, that is ZERO, right to protection under the US Constitution. If I am president and I don’t like people with brown hair and blue eyes and I can see a clear and present danger growing among people with those traits, I can instruct the government I lead to keep such persons out of my country until we have a way to determine WHICH people with brown hair and blue eyes are a danger to the people living here.

And there isn’t a damned thing they or anyone else can say about it.

          • Eric Hartman

“DAYUM! Today just isn’t your day”. Actually it is. I’m having a great day! Would, could. Yes there is a difference. If you think acting the big shot is a good way to run the country than you hell sure got your wish. I’ll repeat myself, ” I’m not trying to downplay the problem, but there is a good way to go about things and a bad way.” For now we are stuck with your way. Let me know how it works out for you in a year. Until then, I’ve bigger fish to fry.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

There is a RIGHT way to go about things and there is a useless and ineffectual way to go about things. Trump is doing it right. We’ve already seen 8 years of weak, ineffectual government.

It isn’t that he is ACTING like a big shot – that would be wrong. Its that he IS a big shot. He has a responsibility and he isn’t afraid to swing with big punches when he has to.

No president in modern history has EVER come out of an election and actually started fulfilling election promises – until Trump.

Show me where the Constitution says that challenging a law’s constitutionality is its job.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

Really!!! Are you seriously asking that question? What, did you flunk out of civics in High School?

Or perhaps you are just another foreigner liberal snowflake who has no business opining upon US politics?

If you want to have an exchange on an adult level about US politics, you at least need to educate yourself on the very BASICS of US Politics.

          • Progressive Republican

            Didn’t think so.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

            What a troll.

          • Progressive Republican

            Thus proving my point.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

That you are a troll, yup. Happy to help you with that one.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

Are you REALLY that ignorant of the US Constitution or just being a troll – playing the part of being willfully ignorant for the purpose of yanking someone’s chain; or perhaps, as I suggested above, you aren’t even a US citizen to begin with and therefore have no business poking your nose into this discussion.

FYI: In explaining judicial power under the Constitution, Hamilton noted that the courts would have the authority to determine whether laws passed by the legislature were consistent with the fundamental and superior law of the Constitution. If a law was contrary to the Constitution, then it was void. Not surprisingly, the Supreme Court agreed, famously announcing its authority to rule on the validity of laws—known as judicial review—in the case of Marbury v. Madison. In weighing the validity of a provision of the Judiciary Act of 1789, Chief Justice John Marshall declared that “It is emphatically the province and duty of the judicial department to say what the law is.”

          • irish1919

They can voice an opinion but do not have authority to ignore a direct lawful and constitutional order. Trump has an obligation to tell Miss twit, that frankly he doesn’t give a dam what she thinks or feels. My only question of Donald is why he ever kept an OBAMA loser in charge of AG. Really??? She was going to defy him in any order .

          • Eric Hartman

No, the ban is not a lawful order! That pesky little first amendment that you all love to preach (no pun intended) until it bites you in the ass. “Direct and lawful order”..I have to ask again, are we now living in a military dick-tater ship?

          • Progressive Republican

            Common sense from a conservative?

And here I thought I was an optimist!

          • Eric Hartman

Me? A Conservative? Sorry to break your lil pea pickin heart but NOT! (a conservative that is. Oh, but not a Hillary lover either)

          • Progressive Republican

You’re clearly not a conservative. I was poking fun at your suggestion that a conservative show common sense.

            Good luck with that one.

          • Eric Hartman

Thanks. Figured it out and replied again. You are correct, there is no hope.

Better to EXTRADITE him to Russia, where an active arrest warrant awaits him. Better YET, include his SONS in the shipment; hopefully President Trump can persuade Putin that said sons are likely accessories to some of the old “man’s” crimes against Russia. The English and the French would also like to get their hands on him, but IMO the Russians are the LEAST LIKELY to PLAY FOOTSIE with soro$$$$$$. If President Trump gets around to COMMITTING these WISE ACTS, then WATCH the soro$$$$$$ inve$tment fund$ PLUMMET TO ZERO VALUE OVERNIGHT. Oh what a DELICIOUS event to look forward to!

Why don’t you actually read what her duties are?

          • ABO

Our Mr. Hartman doesn’t need to keep up. He simply makes up his “facts” as he goes along and then lies about his “facts” and then when he gets caught at it he just starts name calling, like a little two year old and making utterly baseless accusations. In other words, a typical liberal lemming.

          • Eric Hartman

cute. No, not going to share it. So where is this “RealAmerica” you speak of in your moniker? Just need to know so I will avoid spending my vacation dollars there. Maybe I’ll just stay home. We voted for Bernie. Home is the “realAmerica” IMHO. Perhaps you should work on succeeding?

It is actually soro$$$$$$’s legacy as President-in-Fact, with obamA as his TWO-TERM PUPPET. hillarY, had soro$$$$$$ had his way, would have constituted his THIRD, and possibly (God forbid) FOURTH term. For those who remember, johN kerrY was soro$$$$$$’s earlier (and thank God, FAILED) attempt. bilL klintoN was probably an earlier, and unfortunately successful, incarnation of a soro$$$$$$ Presidency; if SO, then soro$$$$$$ HAS ALREADY BEEN POTUS, for FOUR TERMS. YIKES!!!!!
            .
But you know, that would explain a whole lot of what has gone wrong!

          • ABO

Oh, like Bernie did??? In case you forgot, Bernie, after calling out HRC as having been Bought and paid for by the ultra rich, sold out and changed his tune completely, covering her with his unlimited praise. Typical liberal hypocrite. Kinda like you.

          • Eric Hartman

Well that is simplifying the matter, but for a simple mind such as yours, I guess that is all you can comprehend. It is just unfortunate that the Dems and voters didn’t elect Bernie in the primaries. We wouldn’t have a moron in the White House with a bunch of idiots surrounding him.

          • ABO

Bernie Sanders happens to be one of my U.S. Senators. I’ve known Bernie for nearly thirty years. Nice guy but I wouldn’t vote for him if my life depended on it. He’s well aware of that and he knows why.

          • Eric Hartman

Yes he is a nice guy. And you wouldn’t vote for him prolly because you are a moron.

          • ABO

I see you aren’t even capable of spelling simple words properly. Illiterate as well as abysmally stupid. I wouldn’t vote for Bernie for one very simple reason. Over all the years that I have communicated through e-mail with Bernie, since he became our U.S. Senator he has consistently lied about his position on every issue I have asked him about. You of course wouldn’t care that you’re being lied to, as all you care about is that they feed you what you want to hear. Of course you can’t be bothered doing the research in order to know when you’re being lied to. You’re too lazy and too apathetic to bother with things like truth. I guess you must ‘prolly’ be the moron here since you’ve done nothing but waste my time for two days now making utterly baseless, dimwitted statements and backing them up with nothing but childish immature blather Go back to wanking in your Mommy’s basement. You’re far better suited to that.

          • Eric Hartman

            Pfffft. Dolt.

        • irish1919

Amen!! The left cannot be trusted to uphold the constitution or enforce any laws for that matter.

        • Progressive Republican

No. That is not SCOTUS’ job.

Their job is to determine a law’s constitutionality, not challenge it.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

So, GENIUS, who DOES challenge the constitutionality?

It isn’t the DOJ. The principal duties of the Attorney General are to:

Represent the United States in legal matters.

Supervise and direct the administration and operation of the offices, boards, divisions, and bureaus that comprise the Department.

Furnish advice and opinions, formal and informal, on legal matters to the President and the Cabinet and to the heads of the executive departments and agencies of the government, as provided by law.

Make recommendations to the President concerning appointments to federal judicial positions and to positions within the Department, including U.S. Attorneys and U.S. Marshals.

Represent or supervise the representation of the United States Government in the Supreme Court of the United States and all other courts, foreign and domestic, in which the United States is a party or has an interest as may be deemed appropriate.

Perform or supervise the performance of other duties required by statute or Executive Order.

          • richardwfaith

While you have correctly stated the principal duties of the Attorney General, it is informative to note that BAD Presidents (klintoN and obamA most especially come to mind) have CONSIDERED the PURPOSE of the AG to be:
            .
To SHIELD the President from ALL ACCOUNTABILITY, RIGHT OR WRONG. While I entirely disagree with the latter notion, I acknowledge that things often and unfortunately work that way.

      • Pam Dunn

BULLSHYTE you liberal moron and idiot.

      • cutterguy

that is the supreme courts job

        • Eric Hartman

It is, but it is NOT the AG’s job to blindly follow the POTUS into what may well be an illegal act. The AG’s advice should be taken into account and it is the AG’s duty (per the justice Dept, above) “Furnish advice and opinions, formal and informal, on legal matters to the President and the Cabinet and to the heads of the executive departments and agencies of the government, as provided by law.” It is quite obvious to me that the AG should be able to do said duty without the fear of reprisal. This is (or at least was) America. We used to be proud to be a country of laws. “I AM NOT A CROOK!!!” “It’s not illegal if the President does it!!”, R.M. Nixon. Remember him?

          • irish1919

Fine. Resign your position then. Truth is she was dead wrong in trying to politicize a lawful direct order and undermine our nations security and our constitution . YOU’RE FIRED!!!! Love it.

          • Eric Hartman

No, she was trying to keep your beloved tRumps ass out of a sling but he was too stupid to realize it. Me? yeah I might have just said, “you’re on your own bub”. It’s all coming out in the wash though. Your man and his minions have no respect for the Constitution. LOVE IT!!

          • Eric Hartman

No, sorry but you are dead wrong. There is nothing political about obeying laws is there? Never mind don’t answer. It is you that is the political dolt.

      • gerald kaminski

You are exactly correct. She did what Senator Sessions advised in her confirmation hearing was her legal duty to do and what she advised Senator Sessions she would do.

        • Eric Hartman

          Thank you.

      • WEwillsucceed

The story and the truth never gets told by dimms or the press except FOX NEWS. The President did get JUSTICE Dept review and agreement. So there was no justification except political nonsense for silly sally to do what she did. Remember silly sally, elections have consequences. GO PRESIDENT TRUMP. WE SUPPORT YOU!

        • Eric Hartman

MWAHAhahahahahahahahahem. You’re such a hoot! umm, you are kidding right?

      • richardwfaith

Get serious! The AG is APPOINTED by the President, ACCOUNTABLE to the President, and eligible to be FIRED by the President, WITH OR WITHOUT CAUSE. What part of “CABINET” do you not understand? “To the Victors belong the spoils of victory”: Governor Marcy. Andrew Jackson (a DEMOCRAT!) extended the practice of what became known as the “Spoils System”.

        • Eric Hartman

What a dolt. The AG is appointed by the President and APPROVED by the Senate. Sally Yates went through the approval in 2015. Jeff Sessions questioned her grilled her as to what she would do if then President Obama ordered her to something illegal.
          http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/31/politics/sally-yates-jeff-sessions-deputy-attorney-general-hearing/
          https://www.washingtonpost.com/video/national/watch-jeff-sessions-grill-sally-yates-on-opposing-the-president/2017/01/31/c69106c2-e7af-11e6-903d-9b11ed7d8d2a_video.html
The AG gives legal advice to the President. The AG is also subject to impeachment for treason, high crimes and misdemeanors. The AG can also challenge the constitutionality of law. AG is responsible in representing the GOVERNMENT in all legal matters. Ultimately, the AG is accountable to US as in WE THE PEOPLE. And yes, the AG can be removed by the President, if he is stupid enough to do that father than follow legal advice from the AG. tRump made such a stupid move. If I were in the AG position and deemed an order was not legal I would not obey it either. It has been determined that following orders is no excuse if you recall.
What you political hacks and this article are doing is making this whole incident a political issue. What I contend it is a LEGAL issue. Last I heard at least 4 states have filed lawsuits. Were you aware that your hero POTUS has already rewritten parts of his lovely EO because of said lawsuits? Probably not. So you can take you little ill thought spoils issue and put it where the sun don’t shine. Yes, tRump was well within his rights to remove Ms Yates but he is a moron for doing so. If a legal question arises I would trust Sally Yates more than I would trust the nincompoop you elected to office. I say thank you Sally for doing your job. Ultimately the courts will now decide. I will be happy to supply you with a little napkin to wipe the political egg off your face. Good bye.
Oh, if you read something other than alternate facts and had some common sense maybe you could figure things out.

She was NOT upholding the rule of law. EOs and laws carry the same force until a FEDERAL court says otherwise. Since no court has done so, she is required by her oath of office to uphold ALL laws, or resign or be fired.

She chose to make a political statement rather than do her damned job – so she was fired. Simple.

And she says she is a retired military doctor-I haven’t been able to determine the branch-who served during the Vietnam War, though she attended the Uniformed Service School of Health Science which wasn’t created until the early 80s (VN ended in ’75) and thinks she is better educated , more experienced, and of more superior intellect than anyone posting here. She used to annoy me. now i’m just kinda sorry for her.

You keep telling everyone they are LIARS-YOU ARE THE BIGGEST LIAR ON HERE!!! You are YOUNGER than I AM-You ADMITTED it to me last year in another exchange, when you were on your “get yourself an education” rant. You told me about your father and growing up in a military family. You were not in Vietnam-at least not as a doctor or surgeon. You TOLD me that you graduated from Medical School at USUHS-which wasn’t established until the early 80s. Maybe you were a 12-14 y/o combat medic!!! (lol) . AKLady-I’ve had enough of you-you are a very sad and troubled person. I realize that these exchanges give an otherwise empty life some meaning. but you really do need some counseling. Seek some help. And if you can’t/won’t do that, at least try to remember who you told what story to. Pathetic.

And YOU said in this thread that you were an Army Surgeon in Vietnam in 1970-71!! . The ARMY left VietNam in ’73! (Except for a few guys at MACV) All the field hospitals, etc, returned to America in’73. That is when I GOT OUT of the Army. I went in USAF in ’74.(Served in USAF and later transferred to USN) There were only some Embassy types there, until the fall of VN in the spring of ’75. Most of what responded then were Navy and AF and some embarked Marines to assist in the evacuation. AKLady., you are in over your head now. Stop embarrassing yourself. You know and I know that you weren’t there.

          • AKLady

The troops left in 1973. I was in Vietnam in 1970 and 1971.

1970 is THREE YEARS BEFORE 1973
1971 is TWO YEARS BEFORE 1973.

You said you graduated from USUHS-Even by YOUR date of 9/1972-it wasn’t open in 1970-1971.!! Were you an EM? A Field Medic? Where did you get your surgical training? Med School? Who were you with? What units? Until you start being forthcoming, you are just peddling LIES. YOU ADMITTED TO ME LAST YEAR THAT YOU DID NOT SERVE IN VIETNAM!
You are a troubled person. You can’t even remember your lies, or who you told them to.. I have had enough of your nonsense. I am going to ask your name and rank. and I will go to the National Personnel Records Bureau. I am also going to go to Stolen Valor-the website and report you. There are a lot of guys there who have a lot more time than I do, and will verify your service record, or not It is time to ‘fess up. Maybe you’re telling the truth. But I don’t think so.

          • AKLady

Blah, blah, blah, lie, insult …repeat ad nauseam.
            Tedious, boring, repetitive …

          • NavymanBill

Your usual responses aren’t working AKLady. I don’t have to insult you. You are more than capable of making a fool of yourself without any help. I have done some research, and am doing more. There were NO female Army surgeons/physicians in VietNam-ever! There were plenty of nurses, but that is not what you said you were! I have asked a good friend -Army nurse in “:Nam/later-now in State dept-and she has verified the same. I am also trying to verify the first graduation date at USUHS-it was well after Viet Nam ended-I’ll get back to you on it. And you said you were in Nam in ’70 and’71 as a Medical officer in a field hospital. (You admitted to me you weren’t in “Nam last year, BTW. ) And IF you were a commissioned officer/medical officer in Nam in 70 /71-that means that you would have HAD to be commissioned in at latest 1969. And you were in the Army for six years-as stated above. You would have been out of the Army before anyone graduated from USUHS. I’ll get back to you on the USUHS dates.

          • AKLady

There were 11,000 military women were stationed in Vietnam during the conflict, all of them were volunteers.

Maybe you should look into The Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service. They serve in over 20 government departments and agencies, including the Department of Defense.

Maybe you should stop putting your foot in your mouth.

          • NavymanBill

AKLady, sorry to say this but your numbers just don’t work. You said above that you did TWO tours in VietNam as an Army Medical Officer, 1970 and 71.(Back to back-hmm) And that you served in the Army for six years. THE USUHS website states that the first Pres of USUHS Dr Anthony Curreri, was appointed Jan 7. 1974. Their website considers their founding date in 1975 with Jay P. Sanford the Founding Dean. The EARLIEST possible class to graduate would have been at the end of 1976-early 77. And per your claim of six years of service with a Nam Tour in 1970, you would have already been out of the Army by then.
No insults. Just the numbers. Yours don’t work. Q. E. D.

          • AKLady

Again, you assume I did my entire training at the F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine. I’ve never claimed that to be the case. The first class graduated in 1980.

The Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences was established in 1972.

            F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine is located in Bethesda, Maryland on the campus of the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

I also state that my undergraduate degree is from Charter Oak State College. That college did not exist when I graduated, nor is it the name on my diploma. When my diploma was issued, the institution was officially known as the Connecticut Board for State Academic Awards.

          • NavymanBill

You don’t have to lecture me about USUHS, I got one of my Medical Explorers into. It. I used to know the Admissions Director (circa 2002). I have been there several times. USUHS did NOT start admitting students until 1975-76. Go to their website. They didn’t even have a President until 1974, not a Dean until 1975, as I have mentioned. So If you were going there in 1972, it must have been pretty lonely.!!

You said last year that you attended USUHS. Before you started saying that you served two tours in Viet Nam as an Army Medical Officer in 1970 and 1971. I almost believe you about that, But you didn’t do two tours in VietNam. There were NO female doctors or surgeons in VietNam. Only Nurses and some administrative types.

            Your story doesn’t hold up.

          • NavymanBill

PS By your own admission ABOVE, the first class graduated in 1980. You said you served in the Army for six years. Even if you got a direct commission into the Army in 1970, and went to VietNam right away(not likely-All Drs spent a FEW months in an Army Hospital before going overseas, and miscellaneous training) , you STILL would have been out of the Army in 1975-76, per your six years of service admission in this thread. Your story doesn’t work.

          • AKLady

You can insult all you want.
You also seem to think that a name change equals a facility change.

Your expectation of machismo leaves a very bad taste in the mouths of women who served In that war. Uncle Sam was happy to get every doctor it could. He did not care what gender, race or religion they were.

          • NavymanBill

AKLady, I reached out to a good friend who was an Army Nurse at Long Binh 1968-69, and is now a big player at State Dept. (I’m not going to give you her name, -you have given us NOTHING about you but a half-baked story, but she is the genuine article.)
Her message to me for you:
“There were three kinds of women in country-nurses, more or less clerks/secretaries/administrative assistants (pretty much all assigned to Long Binh HQ) and a few enlisted maintenance types (motor pool and such) I never met a American female doc-not even one on familiarization tour(OK there were Red Cross girls and USO entertainers,too)_-NEVER HEARD OF ONE-AND WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY SURPRISED TO LEARN THAT ONE ACTUALLY EXISTED. (my caps). As a matter of personal safety (female nurses were outnumbered by men 500:1) she would have to be housed with the nurses-and we would have heard about, met, and/or at least heard rumors of one-if she actually existed. You can’t rely too much on central military records-they classified many women as men-trying to keep head count of women down in the official records. But the claim to have graduated the USUHS before it existed is way off. My opinion is that she is a fraud and will need serious mental help.”
No insults from me. That is from someone who was there. AND YOU WEREN’T.

          • AKLady

Names of female POWs, Vietnam War, per your demand:

Evelyn Anderson, captured and later burned to death in Kengkok, Laos, 1972. Remains recovered and returned to U.S.

Beatrice Kosin was captured and burned to death in Kengkok, Laos, 1972. Remains recovered and returned to U.S.

Betty Ann Olsen was captured during a raid on the leprosarium in Ban Me Thuot during Tet 1968. She died in 1968 and was buried somewhere along Ho Chi Minh Trail by fellow POW, Michael Benge.

Eleanor Ardel Vietti was captured at the leprosarium in Ban Me Thuot, May 30, 1962. She is still listed as POW.

          • NavymanBill

Okay, Fair enough. You pulled them off of Google All USAID people. NOT MILITARY-which made their situation much more precarious.
BUT that doesn’t change YOUR statements about YOUR TWO TOURS as an Army NEDICAL Officer. Still sticking with that?

          • AKLady

            Fact is fact.
            POW is POW.
Give it up, you were proven wrong.
Save the insults for someone you can impress.

          • NavymanBill

Back On TOPIC, Please. We were talking about your TWO TOURS as an Army Medical Officer in VietNam 1970, 1971, as above. and SIX years in the Army but graduated from USUHS which didn’t graduate its first class in til 1980. YOU WERE PROVEN WRONG- There WERE NO female Army Medical Officers in VietNam!. EVER! You can’t/ won’t address your false statement!! You have been caught in a lie and are throwing out distractors and don’t have the backbone or the sense to accept that your lies have been disproven. As my REAL Army Nurse from VietNam said “You need serious mental help.” As for the POW women. fair enough. Four of them from USAID. But what does that have to do with YOU LYING about two tours in Vietnam 1970/1971 as an Army Medical Officer.? Please answer that or just go away.

          • AKLady

YOU WHERE CAUGHT IN A LIE.

            YOU WERE CAUGHT CLAIMING

THERE WERE NO FEMALE POWS DURING THE VIETNAM WAR.

SAVE YOUR INSULTS’ FOR SOMEONE YOU CAN IMPRESS.

            STOP LYING

          • NavymanBill

I didn’t KNOW about Female POWS, . That means you corrected me. There is a difference between NOT KNOWING, AND LYING! For someone who is supposedly so much smarter than all the rest of us, your faulty logic is rather sad. NOW, BACK TO THE TOPIC, PLEASE?

WHAT UNIT WERE YOU IN IN VIETNAM?

            WHERE WERE YOU STATIONED?

            WHO WAS YOUR CO?

WHEN DID YOU GRADUATE FROM USUHS? And STOP TELLING ME IT WAS ESTABLISHED IN ”72. IT DIDN”T GRADUATE THE FIRST CLASS UNTIL 1980. YOU SAID YOU WERE IN THE ARMY FOR SIX YEARS. 1970-1980 IS A TEN YEAR SPAN. (YOU TOLD ME LAST YEAR YOU DID NOT SERVE IN VIET NAM. Remember?)

THERE WERE NO FEMALE US ARMY DOCTORS IN THE VIETNAM WAR, AKLADY. GIVE IT UP. You weren’t there as a Doctor, if you were there at all-which you weren’t

YOU ARE A PHONY, OR A LIAR. And you need serious mental help.

BTW I am not trying to impress YOU or anyone else. Eventually, I will find out who you are-I am already in contact with USUHS to try to determine who you are- I have a FOIA request into them-.and then I am going to out you on “Stolen Valor”. YOU are the one who tried to impress ALL OF US here with your fake persona and service record. The LIES here aren’t from ME! YOU are the one who lied about herself! And you will be exposed; A TWO TOUR FEMALE ARMY MEDICAL OFFICER IN VIETNAM-WHEN THERE WEREN’T ANY!!!

          • AKLady

Please obtain psychiatric help before you harm yourself or others.

          • NavymanBill

AKlady, I am not the one sitting alone in Alaska dreaming about my alternate life. “Blah, blah, blah, Repeat ad nauseum!” (roflmao) You would do well to follow your own advice, three husbands later!!

          • NavymanBill

BTW, I have No intention of hurting UOU or anyone else. I just enjoy “outing” a fake.”Blah, Blah, Blah” “Repeat Ad nauseum’!!

          • AKLady

“BTW, I have No intention of hurting UOU or anyone else. I just enjoy “outing” a fake.”Blah, Blah, Blah” “Repeat Ad nauseum’!!.”

Do you even read what you type?

          • AKLady

No, we are talking about your lies that I proved.
There were women POWs during the Vietnam War.

          • NavymanBill

No, you sad woman. Back on topic, please. We were TALKING ABOUT YOU! And YOUR make-believe service in VietNam as a US Army Doctor in 1970-71. Remember? I want THOSE QUESTIONS ANSWERED!!! That is how this discussion started, or is your damaged mind unable to process that? The femle POW is just a distractor. So what? What does that have to do with YOU and your SPURIOUS claim (lie) to have served in VietNam as a US Army Medical Officer? In a field hospital? Start answering those questions, or shut up and go away.

BTW, I am investigating who you are at USUHS, thru FOIA. I should have some idea of who you really are fairly soon. We’ll see who the LIAR REALLY IS! (Hint-it isn’t me.)

          • AKLady

            You were proven wrong.
Man up, behave like an adult.

          • NavymanBill

Charter Oak State College-founded in 1973(!!) Even if you GRAUATED in 1973, the US Combat role ENDED with the Treaty of Paris on Jan 29. 1973. That college “did not exist when you graduated”? Then what was it known as? The Connecticut Board for State Academic Awards is NOT a college or institution! It is a governing body! It isn’t a schoolhouse, or a building. It is the GOVERNING body for Charter Oak State Colllege, like the NY or CALIF Board of Regents. You can’t graduate FROM IT! They CERTIFY the standards by which your institution/college/university convers your degree. And it was established in 1973. But you were in the US Army in VietNam as an Army Medical Officer in a Field Hospital in 1970, and again in 1971! Why would you go for an undergraduate degree after you were an Army Medical Doctor in VietNam two years earlier?? Just answer that and I will be satisfied. BTW-you also admitted last year that you are YOUNGER than I am. So you would have been a female Army Medical officer in VietNam in 1970 at about 14-15 years of age?? A female “Doogie Howser”!!! (roflmao) Stop the lies AKLADY. And stop with the POW stuff. It is a red herring -it has nothing to do with you saying that you served two tours in VietNam as an Army Medical Officer in 1970-71. You are a sad person. You have been caught out. I am investigating you as we speak. When I find out the truth about you, I am going to email everyone on this thread, and everyone you contact that you are a fraud and a liar, and in need of psychological care. Sick and sad.

          • AKLady

            You are an idiot.
I have two diplomas on my wall that confirm you are an idiot.

Charter Oak State College is governed by the Connecticut Board of Regents for Higher Education. The Board for State Academic Awards became Charter Oak College in 1973.

There is also an institution known as Excelsior College.
It was formally known as the Regents External Degree Program (REX).
It is a program offered by New York State which is basically the same as the Connecticut program.

You are a very sad person.
Please obtain psychiatric care before you harm yourself or othes.

          • NavymanBill

And you are the BIGGEST LIAR on here! Charter Oaks College was Established (FOUNDED) IN 1973,) My sailors used it to complete their degrees. (Anyone could do it./)

You STILL haven’t answered about your fraudulent VietNam War claims:

            Where were you Stationed?

            What unit were you with?

            Who was your CO/ CO.’s?

Until you tell me that, we can continue this as long as you like. I have a call into USUHS. I can determine enough about your profile from what I already know-where you were raised, where you went to college, the fact that you actually did go to Useless, and were commissioned in the Army (well after the Viet Nam War was over.)

Nothing I like better than exposing Stolen Valor, and a fraud and a phony!

By the way, “blah, blah, blah, insults insults insults, Repeat ad nauseum” )Where have I heard that before.? (lol)

          • NavymanBill

AKLady, I sent earlier, but it didn’t post. Sending again:
A friend of mine was an Army Nurse at Long Binh, RVN in 68-69. She now works for the State Department-Ph D. type. . I will not give you her name until you give me yours, but she is the genuine article.
            Her response to you:
“There were three kinds of women in country-nurses, more or less clerks/secretaries/administrative assistants (pretty much all assigned to Long Binh HQ) and a few enlisted maintenance types (motor pool and such) . That from a REAL Army nurse 1LT from VN. I don’t need to add anything-wait. “No Women POWs no MIAS? Unbelievable. You don’t think that if ANY women were POWs/MIAs, there wouldn’t have been a HUGE public outcry? NAME ONE! And don’t tell me they kept them. I know all about Maj (now Gen) Rhonda Cornum, MC from Desert Storm, but the military was far different by then. You really need to get some professional help.

Fair enough, but they weren’t military. CIA? Red Cross? Relief agencies? And Laos- US Govt never admitted to being there. Why those women’s deaths or POW status was never publicized.
And that still doesn’t change YOUR claims to being a US Army MD in Viet Nam-two tours-1970-71. Not working.

          • AKLady

            You were proven wrong.
            Skip the excuses.

          • AKLady

Yes, Rosie, the quote fits you very well “There are none so blind as those who will not see” The speaker was Jonathan Swift (1667-1745)

          • http://wwwcompleatfifer-com.webs.com/ Greg Hernandez

Then why don’t you practice what you preach and learn to respect President Donald J. Trump. and also learn that quoting left wing media will only get you corrections from the real world who do not live in the fools paradise that the so-called liberals live in.

          • AKLady

            Why do you lie?

          • AKLady

No, the EO is not law.
Compliance with an EO is not mandated by her Oath of Office.
He first duty is to the Constitution.

          • Gray_Doug

True to a point; however, an executive order is a presidential order to be complied with by federal agencies. Federal agency compliance gives it the color of law.

          • AKLady

Please note the federal employee’s Oath of Office says nothing about obeying executive orders, however, duty to the Constitution is foremost.

“I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.” 5 U.S.C. §3331

Do you believe everything printed in this rag?

          • NavymanBill

Rosie, as I said, it gives her otherwise empty life some meaning. She used to annoy me. Now I’m just kinda sorry for her. A sad person.

          • AKLady

You are mistaken. Nothing in her oath if office requires her to obey an unlawful order. The EO was unlawful. It violated The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 and the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

          • InternetCensorsREvil

And yet, the EO was not an unlawful order. How many times did Obama do the same w/o you bleeding heart snowflakes raising hell over it? 19 times?

            Get over yourselves.

          • AKLady

Neither President Obama nor the State Department banned or stopped applications entirely; the slowdown affected a single type of visa from a single country (and not all entry from several countries); the slowdown occurred in order to implement enhanced screening procedures, which remained in place in January 2017.

Obama’s order slowed, not stopped, visas for Iraqis for a very specific six months., At that time, there was an ongoing court case involving two Iraqi immigrants were arrested on suspicion of ties to an insurgent group, according to American officials in Baghdad.

Facts make a huge difference. Maybe you should try some, once in awhile?

          • InternetCensorsREvil

You, like all liberal, butthurt snowflakes, haven’t a clue what facts are.

You manufacture facts, get the tabloids like CNN to carry your putrid and fetid flag for you.

Well, America isn’t buying your turds dresses up like tootsie rolls any longer.

Your insults are Immature and foolish.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

It was not unlawful and violates nothing. Once we get a conservative court who are ‘textualists’ and not liberal ‘activists’, who make judgements based upon what they think it should, or should have said, the EC will be fully enforce.

Regardless, until a judge declares it unconstitutional, she had no standing to make that decision on her own. She served at the will of the president. End of Story.

Go over to the nearest junior college, register for an American Government Class.

Our Founders established three branches of government for a reason — what you are witnessing is one of those reasons.

The Judical Brank is not subject to the demands of the Executive or Legislative Branches. The Supreme Court is the head of the judicial branch. Unlike a criminal court, the Supreme Court rules whether something is constitutional or unconstitutional—whether or not it is permitted under the Constitution.

            I did,,,,You obviously did not.

          • http://wwwcompleatfifer-com.webs.com/ Greg Hernandez

            We did you didn’t.

          • AKLady

Exactly. That was what her oath of office required.

          • Gray_Doug

The issue is insubordination. She crossed the line in a public way and didn’t follow the process of advising the boss of her concerns before going public. She’s not only fired; SHE’S FIRED!

          • AKLady

Wrong. She is sworn to uphold the law. Her first duty is to the law, not Trump.

          • http://wwwcompleatfifer-com.webs.com/ Greg Hernandez

You are ( Again ) the one who is wrong. ” The law ” gives the president the right to his executive order which BTW was vetted by the DOJ legal council. Didn’t you even read the article before making another inaccurate statement ?

          • AKLady

            Vetted by the DOJ???
Exceot it was blocked by five (5) federal judges.
It also has put the U.S. in a very difficult position.
People died as a result of Trump’s ego and ignorance.
They were in traveling to obtain health care.

          • http://wwwcompleatfifer-com.webs.com/ Greg Hernandez

BS. Now blocked by one judge in Seattle of all libtard places. No one died except you when your brain fried on election day.

That is BS; the lady dying died 5 days before the ban. What if terrorist now enter the country on a visa and another 9/11 occurs? 5 versus 2,000???? There are always casualties in war. Use facts not inneundos.

          • AKLady

            Why do you lie?
What do you gain by lying?

          • AKLady

There had not been a single terror attack on American soil
            by a foreigner since 9/11.

          • NavymanBill

Another idiotic comment from the mentally deficient AKLADYwho BRAGS that she was a MILITARY DOCTOR?but doesn’t KNOW F##k ALL about chain of command. If Yates had half a brain, she’d have known that, if she couldn’t follow an order from the President(ANY President), she should have RESIGNED. The proper way to indicate disagreement. Instead she disobeyed-and was CORRECTLY FIRED!!!

          • AKLady

Military command?? Which branch of the service — there are differences.

There are no Warrant Officers, whatsoever, in the Air Force. An O1 is a Second Lieutenant the Army, Marines and Air Force, but an Ensign un the Coast Guard.

An 03 is a Lieutenant JG in the Coast Guard, and a Captain in the Army. Marine and Air Force. …. and on and on and on. https://www.defense.gov/About/Insignias/Officers

            Educate yourself foolish NavymanBill.

          • NavymanBill

Another idiotic response from a pathetic case. nobody said ANYTHING about different BRANCHES. IT DOESN”T MATTER! (I was in TWO, BTW). YOU TAKE THE ORDERS FROM the Commander-in-Chief. And that includes the DOJ. Please take your meds, you pathetic soul

I, [NAME], DO SOLEMNLY SWEAR (OR AFFIRM)

            THAT I WILL SUPPORT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES AGAINST ALL ENEMIES, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC;

            that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;

that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and

that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter. So help me God.

          • NavymanBill

It depends on the version (date) that you are quoting, CrazyLady. I just gave an oath of enlistment LAST week to a USNR sailor(have YOU ever enlisted/ re-enlisted one of YOUR people? Somehow I doubt it.) I know MY FIRST ONE states “the President, and the officers legally appointed over me.” (1976) The one I did last week , states “the President, The Governor of the State of NY and the Officers appointed over me.(This for NYNM) Don’t lecture ME about the US Military, sweetie. You and I have gone this way before. I have been doing this since the time you started puberty.YOU HAVE NOTHING on me. And as a MEDICAL CORPS type, many of you showed an incomplete understanding of the chain of command-the point I was making initially before you started with your “out of left field ” lecture on warrant officers, etc. I FORGOT more about working with warrant officers than you will ever know, (especially since you’ve been up in the snow cave) I was talking about the Acting AG-and the fact that if she had decided that she wasn’t going to follow the President’s orders. She WAS INSUBORDINATE!! If she intended not to follow them, she should have voted with her feet -as I did from USAF in 1981. Instead, she disobeyed, and got FIRED! Correctly so. If you had ANY real work experience in the civilian sector,( I know you have little/none) you would know that a sharp disagreement with the Boss/CEO will likely get you canned!!! Most normal people understand this. You are a very troubled woman. I will pray for you.

          • AKLady

Dear Bill, the oaths for officers and enlisted are different,
Dear Bill, the oath for civilians and military are different.
            .
There are Warrant Officers in the Army and the Coast Guard, as well as the Navy.
United States Naval Forces, Alaska, are headquartered in Juneau
No, darling, the judge is not/was not subordinate. She upheld her oath
The President cannot order a judge on how to rule.

          • franco leon

go tell that to all the mayors of the sanctuary cities; they haven’t read that part or are in violation.

          • AKLady

Mayors work for cities, they are not federal employees.
            Their oaths are much different.

          • franco leon

            She didn’t follow the law.

          • AKLady

Trump did not follow the law.
The Judge followed both the law, and her oath of office.

The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965
First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

          • Dawn Doran

You are the one that is wrong…

          • astrc

Then why didn’t she “Uphold the Law”, as she “sworn to do”?

          • AKLady

She di what her oath of office required her to do,
            She upheld the Constitution.
            She upheld the law.

          • NavymanBill

            Bullshit, CrazyLady.

Your utter contempt for facts is the problem.

          • concern4us

AK, did you not read the summary above ” The truth is that the DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel had already approved the executive order with respect to its legality!”
You don’t know what your stating, who are the five Federal Judges, Obama’s appointed, who doesn’t believe in the Constitution anyway!!!!!

          • AKLady

Really? The ban is valid through 02/05/2017.

Trump was forced to modify his ban to allow citizens and resident aliens to enter the country. Trump’s order is illegal, and extremely dangerous for the American People.

The federal judges’ orders protects travelers from being removed from the country on a nationwide basis until at least February 21.
The ignorant fool in the White House is tweeting. Lord knows, he can’t be impeached soon enough. He has placed America in immense danger, not to mention the many allies he has already insulted.

          • Chiefbuck

The United States already is in serious danger due primarily the eight years when Obama was acting as president. Our reductions in military strength and intelligence abilities placed our country in serious risk. The “deals” that he made with Iran and other Islamic nations were bizarre. Obama set this country back at least ten years, it will require years to restore our nation to prosperity and to become secure again. Take a good look at our national debt and unsecured liabilities. His failure to assure the necessary fuel will make our energy costs escalate. Now that our President has restored the pipeline policies and other energy solutions we now will be assured that the necessary energy is available at reduced cost. The oath of Office states that a president must strive to protect our nation from harm. Clearly Obama failed to do that and during his time in office we were at serious risk. We will still be at risk until President Trump is able to restore our national defense to sufficient levels.

          • AKLady

Are you willing to pay for what you demand?
            Of course not,
You blame Obama, but the responsibility is yours,
and that of people exactly like you,
Bush gave us two wars paid for by money barrows from China.
How much more debt do you want to add?

          • ABO

            Name them.

          • AKLady

EOs are not laws. They do not carry the same force as laws.
There is no requirement for any judge to enforce an unconstitutional EO.
The federal oath requires that she uphold the Constitution.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

If the EO is not declared unconstitutional, which this EO has not been, then it carries the force of law. Period and Full Stop.

          • AKLady

Read The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 and The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Then go look at what the judges actually had to say.

          • YC

That Trump, I mean President Trump, is no joke! He is cleaning house like a fire sale. I have nothing but the utmost respect this POTUS. He is listening to the voice people and not the media. We finally have a President that is standing up for the silenced majority.

          • dinkerduo

Right on—since when does a employee get to overturn a lawful order?!?
I hope if one terrorists did/does get in the U.S. that this lady’s family is the one to suffer–and the people in WA State and the 9th Circuit so they can get a first hand look at what their stupid actions caused! Otherwise they just go on thinking they’re right!

More frightening yet is that CHUMP thinks he is the law. He has already proven to be totally incompetent as a leader. We have mobs in the streets and other nations are complaining and also have crowds in the streets protesting our idiotic president.

          • Carol Smith

amen. he has no leadership qualities.

He’s a billionaire for crying out loud. He’s travelled, managed, signed paychecks, and more. What did the last guy do before he became president? He was a community organizer. Who has no leadership skills?

          • Donna Costa

            AMEN and AMEN !!

          • AKLady

            Trump is a glorified salesman.
Signed paychecks?? Ha. ha, ha …

            His daddy left him property.
            His daddy left him money.
His faddy left him government contracts.
            .
The last guy was a U.S. Senator.
The last guy was a Professor of Constitutional Law.
The last guy was a civil rights attorney.
You might want to look up the job description for Community Organizer.
It clearly describes many of the duties required of U.S. President.

          • http://wwwcompleatfifer-com.webs.com/ Greg Hernandez

President Trump had to do physical labor under his fathers tutelage ,
His father made money and what kind of parent would not give his child money to start .My parents were poor but they helped all their children.
It is a duty for a parent to try to give his child a leg up.
The President had to sign THOUSANDS of paychecks as a world class builder.Obama never signed a paycheck and was never responsible to negotiate with labor unions and government agencies to complete multi- million dollar projects and bring them in early and under budget.
The president had to negotiate many government contracts because they usually expire when the contracted job is done.
The president also had to deal with laws and customs in other countries , besides dealing with their officials, something obama had absolutely no experience in.
The last guy was an Illinois state senator who only sponsored one bill and that was to allow abortion ” doctors ” to just let a baby that survived an abortion to die without giving it anything.Otherwise he just ” Voted ” present ! That is the kind of guy he is. A POS.
The last guy was a US senator who did nothing of note and sponsored nothing lasting. He occupied a seat while George Soros bought support for him.
The last guy was an assistant professor of Constitional law who hated the Constitution and did all he could to circumvent it. How long did he work at that ?
The last guy was “civil rights” attorney who worked as a ” Community Organizer “and who’s neighborhood home is worth 4 million dollars and who had never made more than 50 thousand a year. Hmmmmm ? The ” Neighborhood he was supposedly organizing has one of the worst murder and violent crime rates in the murder capitol of the USA.
The ” Job Description ” of a community organizer is another lame liberal explanation for doing something they call ” Work ” and there is no legal description. It is another phony liberal make work job. I would not compare ANYTHING Barrack Hussein Obama has doneto the accomplishments of Donald J. Trump.
Mr. Trump even starred in a TV show while running his multi-billion dollar corporation. Obama couldn’t walk and chew gum in comparison.
It is clear to the world that Barrack Hussein Obama was a worthless non-entity foisted on the American people by the gullible donkeys of the Democrat party. He isn’t fit to wipe the rear end of President Trump.

          • AKLady

Why do you need to tell these lies?
Why do you embarrass America this way?
Why do you believe it is acceptable to lie?
Why do you believe it is acceptable to repeat lies?
            .
Oh, and foolish one, government contracts can cover many years, some are valid for decades.

          • richardwfaith

obamA certainly would never qualify for any job I have ever had. I design electronic and mechanical things, build things, play piano, write computer programs, document inventions and explain them to patent attorneys, and create spreadsheets for a wide variety of mathematical and logistical functions. As close as obamA comes to any of the latter is that he has some competency as a singer. If I were ever to get the opportunity to call him up to the podium at a ballgame, I would introduce him as the singer for the National Anthem, NOT because I have any doubt that he could SING it well if he WANTED to, but because I know he HATES THE SONG and would probably refuse to sing it, thus PUBLICLY EXPOSING a bit of his true self.

          • AKLady

            Are you nuts?
Of course an attorney at law would not qualify to built electronics.

          • richardwfaith

            Especially a DISBARRED attorney.

          • AKLady

            Obama was never disbarred.

Why do you need to tell this lie?
Why do you embarrass America this way?
Why do you believe it is acceptable to lie?
Why do you believe it is acceptable to repeat lies?

          • ABO

For once you’re right. However I see you conveniently ignore the rest of the story. Everything I’ve read in researching the subject says he gave up his Illinois Law License to avoid disbarment for having given fraudulent information to the Illinois Bar Assn. when he applied for the license. You’re just soooo good at spinning the truth to fit your agenda.

          • Richard Faith

obamA voluntarily placed his law license on inactive status, and rumors developed that he was disbarred. You are correct in saying that he was never disbarred.
            My bad.

          • AKLady

            Thank you.
The Continuing Education requirement is the reason most place their licrmse on inactive status. I cannot quite picture any university admitting any President. Doing do would disrupt the entire campus, causing loss to the entire student body.

          • http://wwwcompleatfifer-com.webs.com/ Greg Hernandez

Yeah, he was a ” Working ” lawyer for about a year. As a state senator he voted “present” about 39 times. He was too busy trying to understand ” Mad Magazine ” to vote for anything important. He is a POS and was picked by the democrap party because he was malleable and had no strong beliefs of his own. Is he still licensed ? I don’t think so.Or was that his wife ? I know one of them is disbarred.

          • AKLady

Neither of the Obamas were disbarred.
            Stop with the leis, already.

            Carol

Your obviously in denial- your side lost by a landslide- it’s time to grow up act like an adult and stop being part of the problem. Trump has showed more leadership, outstanding cabinet choices, and a work ethic far superior to anyone prior. He’s already done more good for America than Obamas ever did in 8 yrs ( the most damaging and worst POTUS in American history). You and your Party is the big problem in this country: the Dems do not serve everyday Americans; nor are they our friends who care for us! They will lie, cheat, steal, take bribes, allow our enemies to get stronger as we get weaker BY THEIR HAND, and they will destroy people or have those they consider threats to their warped version of the ‘greater good’ put ‘away’, one way or another (Vince Foster, Ron Brown and many others)! They consider God and our Constitution as obstacles to their twisted agenda as both the Diety and the Document both hold them to account for their actions. Republicans are not perfect but with our assistance we can move them to where they are serving U.S. and a greater future, one with Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness as the main points of focus! Now, if we can only get the numbers required to push back all the Illegal and terrorist voters which they are trying to add to their ill-gotten voter contingent.

The democratic platform has done way to much dammage to our country and those within to ever trust that platform again. The icing on the cake was their selection of a devout Muslim ( OBummer) to serve as our POTUS ( Who swore to be a Christian- nonsense). And now they want to put the most corrupt and lieing candidate
To ever run – Hildabeast in charge. Their is no end to their corruption and destruction to our values/constitution/Allies. They promote: gay rights, abortion ( responsible for 100 million deaths of fetuses), athiesm ( taking God out of America),illegal immigration, Muslim immigration (people who will try to destroy our way of life- sharia law), socialism ( sponsor is Sorros), communism, ignoring our constitution ( all swore to support it before taking public office), world order/takeover, corruption, and cheating at the polls to get their ways— they are the “SATIN” within America and have lost their way. No wonder a record amount of democrats are abandoning this platform by the thousands after showing its ugly head.
            move on lib bot.

          • Eric Hartman

            OMG

          • big KAhuna

Oh yes- the bad news is it’s true and we came close to loosing all our freedoms/country. The good news is Trump is now in charge and no more political correctness hiding the truth. Our schools and colleges must have constitutional scholars as professors– communism and Socialism have no place on our campuses, removal of illegals is a must, Muslim immigration must stop now. Sedition/ Treason must be charged against Sorros/Obama.
Christians get first presidence on immigration in the future It supports our constitution. Those who want change should find a country that more suits their purpose- leave our country alone.

          • Eric Hartman

          • Gray_Doug

The issue is not the EO, it’s insubordination . . . defying the boss before the public . . . failure to use the process of disagreeing with the boss before throwing the insubordination in the public’s face. She’s fired for that. You can disagree about how the President does things; but, when he is the boss, you follow the process in house and give him options. Punch the boss in the face before the public? Plan on packing your desk and being tossed out the door.

          • AKLady

Her first duty is to the Constitution.
Her second duty is to the Law.

          • Gray_Doug

Sorry you disagree. We’ll have to agree to disagree, AKLady. Poor Barrack had a temper, fired experts that tried to help him, verbally slapped the stuffins out of Constitution and lawful authority before the public, constantly lied, refused to act to bring peace to the races . . . need I go on? He was the laughing stock before world leadership. He hated Israel and Great Britain. He deliberately attempted to interfere with free elections in Israel. He deliberately freed (pardoned) traitors, murders and terrorists (bad dudes that left Gitmo and returned to their form of jihad). Your memory surely isn’t that bad. Again, you and I will agree to disagree . . . that’s the American way.

Hey AK , it is no lie. Obama is the worst president America ever had.
It is no lie that he lost respect from just about every ally and every enemy this country had.
It is no lie that his inexperience led to the worst financial recovery since FDR.
It is no lie that he was the laughing stock of NATO and the EU.
He kissed the ass of every muslim leader while insulting our only faithful ally in the middle East, Israel.
He drew a red line in the sand only in the swamp of his mind.
He insulted England , Japan , France, Canada, Mexico and most of the rest of countries who were our friends while kissing up to the murderer Castro brothers. Putin laughed in his face.
I don’t know why you are such a compulsive liar AK but your continued BS on articles that are somewhat pro conservative show you just are another democrap / liberal/ socialist snowflake with no real thoughts of your own, very little understanding of what truth means and only showing the one good thing about yourself. You are a fine example of snowflake mentality.. keep spreading manure until someone falls for it or because of it.

            Why do you lie?
The Cuban embargo failed long before Obama became President.

Just for once try posting something relevant rather than your usual cut and paste blather. Apparently you are incapable of actually carrying on a normal conversation without resorting to your usual utterly baseless insults and accusations. Although, your myopic liberal mindset of course precludes the possibility that you would ever carry on a normal discussion without the insults and accusations so I assume you’ll just keep posting your childish cut and paste nonsense.

Yes, crowds of brain dead libtards who cannot put 2 thoughts together without screaming ” Bigot “, ” Chump”, ” Inclusion”, Racism and whatever is the walking dead mantra of the day.Mobs of trash , destroying other peoples property while screaming about love, when they should be thrown in jail and forced to pay for damages they’ve done while on their rampages. In truth, the ” Chump ” has done more in a week than the clown ozero did in 8 years.
Those idiots and the Democrap garbage in DC were the reasons we now have a real president who works FOR the people. He has chosen a fine cabinet, a truly excellent judge for the Supreme Court and will do whatever he has to do to protect our citizens. Cry all you want and let your mind melt, Snowflake , Donald Trump is the President and “Oh what a relief it is ” after 8 years of the worst “Occupier ” of the White House in American History.
Read the article , TRY to understand the concept and if that doesn’t work, go down to Mommy’s basement and hide for the next 8 years and cry yourself into a stupor.

Astrc, careful. AKLady is a very sick person. She is an ace at distractors, but also a pathological liar. She has stated that she served TWO tours as an Army Medical Officer (Doctor) in VietNam-1970-71. Only problem-the Army didn’t HAVE women doctors in those days. She also told me last year in another thread that she DID NOT serve in VietNam, but graduated from USUHS in DC. Only problem-the first class didn’t graduate until 1980-five years after VietNam ended. She has told so many falsehoods, she can’t remember what she said to who. Being on this thread gives her lonely and empty life some meaning. Use caution. A very disturbed person.

And NOBODY MADE YOUR KIDS FIGHT ANYONE ANYWHERE!! The DRAFT ENDED IN 1973! If YOU pushed them into it, based on your heroic stories of the two tours you DIDN’T have in VietNam, THAT’S YOUR PROBLEM! You told me about how you made them go into it and pull their own weight LAST YEAR when you ADMITTED THAT YOU DIDN’T SERVE IN VIETNAM. (Obviously I have a better memory than you do.) But keep coming back and embarrassing yourself. I have a call into USPHS today about ANY USPHS who served in VietNam. We’ll find out, won’t we.

          • blogengeezer

Good questions. Been following your exchange with the repetitive copy paste robot. One thing aside from our dog tag numbers, we immediately recall our CO’s. Every last one of them.

I still to this day remember being intrigued by the jagged shrapnel scar from a MIG, …completely through the face… of my ‘Top’. He was one seriously experienced Master Sergeant, with his 20 + and two live fire wars active. If he ordered me, as a ‘Staff’ Sgt, to do Anything, I and the entire group would immediately accomplish Anything he desired. :>)

          • NavymanBill

Hi “Blo”. Yeah, a ‘World Class” disseminator and prevaricator. Everytime you get close to the truth, her story changes. I have determined that she did NOT do TWO tours of duty in VietNam as an Army Medical Officer. I got that directly from the US Army Womens Museum at Fort Lee. I was on the phone with the Director and the Chief Archivist. I called them, and they returned my call! The numbers and who she “tried to represent herself as” JUST didn’t work. THEN she starts in with USPHS-like we don’t KNOW about it. I know a nurse in it NOW, and an old girlfriend’s brother worked in the Indian Health Service. It would be sadly comical-like a female Walter Mitty-except she is SUCH a POSEUR, a good look in the mirror would probably KILL her! Pathetic, but I have known too many like her to let it pass..

          • blogengeezer

Recently got into a heated discussion with a ‘partial’ native American, where wife works part time. They have attitude a bit commie, to say the least.

Whenever I corrected her with the hard ‘Facts’ on the subjects surrounding tribal affairs, customs and lack of productive self motivation [non productive Motorola plants] vs reduced payments received, she got into my face and glaring into my eyes said, “Well that doesn’t make it right”. Motorola went belly up on the Rez.

I worked the ‘Rez’ for over 40 years and in that time, met a few people, most in the financial and med profession, and saw the ‘Real’ situation with nanny govt running their lives.

I suspect a major sector of AK population is a similar, dependency addicted recipient of govt funding, perpetually angry because it is never quite enough…

Sec of the Interior years ago, James Watt, said that… “if you want to see the Communist Government in action, go live on the US Reservations for a time”. or to that effect…

Of course, after that statement, the liberal Leftist Progressives drove him out of DC. He returned to his private business, as a western states financial advisor on dealings with Govt.

Ironic, his immediate clients were the Indian Reservations…. paying him to get them more Govt funding.

After the way he was treated in DC, he quickly obliged them, using his insider expertise, to Really get them some Big bucks, of which he got a percentage :)

Large population of AK is non productive native Inuit and others on welfare, EBT, SNAP, Food credits, child allowances and Section Eight, in addition to Govt healthcare. Of course it is never enough, and they always demand more.

Watch Alaska State Troopers on you tube, to see the real situations across that vast state. The money flows in and the sleds and dogs of the old ways are traded for snowmobiles.

Pretty dead end life in those remote villages, dismal in winter. No wonder such a drug problem. With federal and state money, they buy drugs and alcohol. An associate’s son is law enforcement in AK and sees the harsh realities.

He said that the fatty monthly oil allowance given to all inhabitants of AK by Big Oil [Sarah Palin helped write that contract on depletion allowances], is all but dead now. During fat times of the past, an extra K a month was avg for him.

          • NavymanBill

Hey, Blo. Interesting post. I’ve spent some time in Alaska. Interesting place-but it was a while ago, and as you said, they were flush with the oil money. I know about the Inuits as well-I remember seeing them sleeping under the overpasses by 4th St in Anchorage. Certainly not all of them, but enough that it was a problem, and every now and then one would freeze to death. The situations on most of the reservations is tough even in more temperate climates. Had an old girlfriend in college who was from a tribe in NC. She was smart and good looking, but had a real self-destructive side to her. it was kinda sad.

          • NavymanBill

Aklady, I spoke to the Director and Archivist at the US Army Women’s Museum at Fort lee, Virginia yesterday. There were FIVE women Doctors/Medical Corps Officers in VietNam throughout the entire conflict. You weren’t one of them. (I don’t know your name, but you didn’t match any of their profiles, as pertains to rank, dates of tour, etc.)

          • AKLady

Internet fantasy, is it not beautiful to behold?

          • NavymanBill

There were FIVE US ARMY Female Medical Officers in Viet Nam. That is per the US Army’s OWN Museum for Military Women at Fort Lee, VA. Their records are the OFFICIAL records. You were not one of the five.

          • AKLady

“There were FIVE US ARMY Female Medical Officers in Viet Nam.”

          • NavymanBill

AKLADY, I just did, the same as the last two times. There were FIVE US ARMY MEDICAL CORPS OFFICERS IN VIETNAM. That is from 1961-1975. Not very many, by any measure. And YOU DID NOT MATCH any of the five women’s profiles. I’m not insulting anyone. You are insulting those who served there by saying you did when you didn’t. I actually believe that you did serve in the Army Medical Corps, and you did go to USUHS. But you did NOT serve two Tours in VietNam as an Army Medical Corps Officer.

          • AKLady

Those with eyes who cannot see.

          • NavymanBill

Oh, I see. The story changes. “Catch Me If You Can.” (lol.lol) I have my sources at USPHS, too. And NOAA and the French Foreign Legion, etc. I’ll get back to you on this latest one. It’ll take a few days, but I already know you didn’t serve two tours in VietNam in 1970 and 1971-not as the Army Medical Officer Major that you have said that you were. USPHS officers use naval ranks, but aren’t in the Navy, and I’m pretty sure they don’t leave the US/US Territories. But I’ll find out and get back to you!!

          • AKLady

Maybe you should have read my post more slowly.

The reason I heard was so the DEA could catch drug runners with the firearms so they could further apply pressure on abolishing, destroying and/or eliminating our Second Amendment.
It worked just as they planned. But then someone(as usual) got trigger-happy, loosed a few rounds. That opened the way for both sides to start blasting away. In the aftermath a Border Patrol Agent was shot and died.
That part wasn’t in the plan and was what got the pot of beans knocked over. Thankfully, our Cowardly Congress and ‘I Know Nothing!’ FBI banded together and HID everything as well as they could from the public. But, leaks happen and we found out. And NOTHING happened. No one went to jail or was yelled at.

          • astrc

I admit that as a former Law Enforcement officer, I haven’t had the opportunity to review the WHOLE Report/records, If what you say is true, it could be a case of “Entrapment” on the DEA & A.G. Eric Holder’s involvement ?, However it was a criminal violation of the law, in “Selling illegal Automatic Weapons” to the Mexican Drug cartel, for “Any Reason”, and someone should have been “Charged” (Eric Holder #1.? ) No matter the INTENT, is sure as hell was not for the “Good of our country”. Thank You for your reply.

They also gave the excuse that they were tracking “straw buyers”—not likely–or as likely as “a video” caused the Benghazi attacks! And those guns are still showing up at different crime sites!
I think they were given to ISIS who are in Mexico all along the border at different sites–and they were used to train Mexico’s drug cartels to fight along with ISIS against the U.S. We’ll see if they don’t attack us someday–in different cities to create as mush havoc as possible!

No abortion allowed for rape victims — Christian Sharia in the U.S.
Interacial marriage ban — Christian Sharia in the U.S.
Not that long ago, businesses were required to close on Sunday — Christian Sharia in the U.S.

          • Col C

I know the truth is really hard to accept, especially when the lies have become so familiar. Rape accounts for only 2% of baby murders, so the other 98% should die without due process, simply because they have no CHOICE? Christians are the ones forced to participate in gay marriage ceremonies through photography, flower arrangements, wedding cakes and catering, and as far as businesses closing on Sunday, it was never a law, it was optional, and nobody’s head was cut off for not closing on Sunday, unless I missed that story. Women aren’t killed when they dishonor their husbands, (or their fellow countrymen as in your case), like in Sharia Law, in fact I just read this morning that a sign on a Starbuck’s in Saudi Arabia said women aren’t allowed to come in and get coffee, they must have a man get it for them. Jesus Christ, on the other hand, stood up for the woman caught in adultery, and confronted all the hypocrite men who wanted her stoned, and his famous words changed the course of history when he said “Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more”

          • Col C

Then you are saying that an atheist caterer has to cater a Baptist Convention if asked, correct, or he must be persecuted and/or fined by the government? And an animal rights activist has to do a photo shoot for a hunting magazine, correct, or be persecuted and/or fined by the government? Because both the caterer and the photographer are open for business, correct?

As for the second part of your diatribe, which is barely understandable, a baby in the womb is not a parasite, it is created by the mother and the father, and is dependent on the mom and dad until the baby is old enough to fend for herself/himself, and is of the same “Species” as the mother and father. A parasite is an organism that lives and feeds on or in an organism of a “Different Species” and causes harm to its host.

          • AKLady

That is not what I said.

Why do you put words in people’s mouths?
Doing that is no different than lying.

Parasite: an organism that lives in or on another organism (its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the host’s expense. Right down to the calcium from the host’s teeth and bones.

Let me know when a man can become pregnant and/or serve as a host to a zygote. There are scientific facts, and there are opinions.

          • Col C

You need to seriously look up the definition of a parasite, a parasite is a different species than the host, are you being dumb on purpose? It has nothing to do with pregnancy, and the fact that you think babies in the womb are parasites, gives me insight into your sad little mind, not to mention the fact that it is simply not true, the baby and the mother are of the same species, end of story. The fact that my children are dependent on me until they are adults does not make them parasites.

lol, that would be the ultimate conclusion, by her own logic.

A parasite can prey upon its own species and an embryo is in a parasitic relationship with its host. Sharks often take a chunk out of another shark if they can get away with it. More than one alligator has eaten the young of other alligators and even its own young when they have grown a bit. Humans have been known to capture other humans and eat their blood or use it to transfuse others of their tribe and also eaten the flesh of other humans. To this very day if you get into remote areas of Haiti you can buy a dish called “The Hand”. It is a stew like meal with a chopped up human hand as the meat. It is sort of part of a tribal justice system as when one person offends another the penalty is often a hand. It does not pay to be a debtor in rural Haiti.

No species has been found in which homosexual behaviour has not been shown to exist, with the exception of species that never have sex at all, such as sea urchins and aphis. Moreover, a part of the animal kingdom is hermaphroditic, truly bisexual. For them, homosexuality is not an issue.

Yet it is quite accurate. For example bars are often not allowed to open until the afternoon on Sundays in order to boost church attendance. Yet only Christians have Sunday as a holy day. In our fairly recent history some towns had laws against eating ice cream on Sundays as they expected people to be in worship or religious contemplation or training until Monday.

The Conservative Crusade For Christian Sharia Law

It’s not just the fringe anymore. Mainstream conservatives are trying to bring America’s laws into agreement with ‘God’s law.’

The question isn’t: Will conservatives push to enact laws based on the Bible? We are way beyond that. The real questions are: 1. How many more of these laws do they want to impose? And, 2. What will our nation look like if their crusade is successful to bring America’s laws into agreement with “God’s law”?

To some on the right, America is a “Christian nation”—like Saudi Arabia is a Muslim nation—meaning that our nation’s laws should be based on their religious text. These forces aren’t moved by Thomas Jefferson’s famous letter in which he spoke of the need to create, “a wall of separation between church and state.” Nor will they be swayed by citing Ronald Reagan’s words, “Church and state are, and must remain, separate.”

Just a few weeks ago we saw another example of creeping Christian Sharia Law with a bill passed by Kansas’ House of Representatives that would allow people and businesses to deny services to same sex couples if it violated their “religious beliefs.” This proposed law would in essence legally sanction discrimination against gay Americans because same sex marriage is not approved by the Bible. Similar bills are pending in other State’s including Mississippi, Idaho, and Arizona.

And in the past few years, we have seen pro-life Christian groups successfully lobby State legislatures to restrict access to abortions. They have also raised religious, not public policy, objections to the government funding birth control.

But here’s the alarming thing: These views are no longer the fringe of American politics. They are increasingly become mainstream conservative fare.

We saw that in 2012 when Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum declared his belief that the laws in our country must “comport” with God’s law. Santorum also argued in opposition to marriage equality, that our nation’s values “are based on Biblical truth… And, those truths don’t change just because people’s attitudes may change.”

And former Governor Mike Huckabee, who is considering running for president in 2016, proclaimed during his 2008 presidential race that our laws should be in accordance with God’s.

Coming Consequences for the Litigious President-elect Trump

            11 Nov 2016

            |

            John Dean

Coming Consequences for the Litigious President-elect Trump

Donald Trump will enter his presidency with an unprecedented number of civil lawsuits, which cannot be set aside or delayed simply by virtue of being President of the United States. While this situation is not totally unique to Trump, the number and nature of lawsuits involved for him is going to create real problems. To understand Trump’s situation, some perspective can be found by first looking at litigation involving other presidents-elect and presidents.

Prior Presidents Involved in Civil Litigation

Four presidents have been forced to deal with civil lawsuits which they carried into the Oval Office: Theodore Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John Kennedy and Bill Clinton. For three of them, the lawsuits were quickly disposed of, but for Bill Clinton, his lawsuit nearly cost him his presidency. Let’s look at each.

Theodore Roosevelt: Before becoming vice president (which would result in his becoming president some six months later when President William McKinley was assassinated in September, 1901) Theodore Roosevelt was sued as chairman of the New York City Police Department by John Hurley, a disgruntled patrolman, who had been dismissed. Hurley lost but continued appealing the case, which was not finally disposed of until Roosevelt was serving as president in 1904. (See Hurley v. Roosevelt, 71 N.E. 1137 (N.Y. 1904), the case was dismissed without an opinion.)

Harry Truman: In 1931, while Harry Truman was serving as a judge in Jackson County, Missouri, he and other judges ruled that Roy DeVault, an attorney, was insane, and they had him committed to an insane asylum. Believing he had been improperly committed, DeVault filed an action against then-U.S. Senator Harry Truman in 1944, just as the latter was elected vice president alongside Franklin Roosevelt. The trial court granted Truman’s motion to dismiss, and DeVault appealed. With the President Roosevelt’s death in April 1945, Truman became President. One year later, the Supreme Court of Missouri affirmed the dismissal. (See DeVault v. Truman, 194 S.W.2d 29 (Mo. 1946).)

John Kennedy: During the 1960 presidential campaign an automobile accident in California resulted in two companion lawsuits being filed in late October 1960 against candidate John F. Kennedy. After he assumed office his lawyers argued for a stay, based on his status as Commander in Chief, but the request was denied without a written opinion and the cases were settled out of court. (See complaints in Bailey v. Kennedy, No. 757200, and Hills v. Kennedy, No. 757201, filed October 27, 1960 in California Superior Court.)

Bill Clinton: In May 1991 Paula Jones, who worked for the State of Arkansas, was acting as a receptionist at a conference being held at a Little Rock hotel. She later claimed that while on this assignment a security guard for Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton informed her the governor would like to see her in his suite, where she was ushered. Upon arriving, she claimed Governor Clinton dropped his pants and requested a sexual favor. Years later she hired a lawyer, who offered to settle with then-President Clinton, and when he refused she filed a lawsuit in May 1994. President Clinton responded by requesting the court delay the lawsuit until his term in office as president had ended, seeking temporary immunity.

Clinton vs. Jones went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, which unanimously (9-0) held in May 1997 that a sitting president has no immunity from civil litigation involving actions undertaken before entering office. Thus, discovery depositions in the case went forward, and soon the Jones case became intertwined with the president’s affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky, as well as the ongoing investigations of Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr. Starr would later inform Congress that there was substantial evidence that President Clinton had lied during his deposition, and attempted to obstruct justice, in the Jones case, for which he should be impeached and removed from office. The House of Representatives agreed, but the Senate did not have sufficient votes to convict and remove the President.

            Potential Consequences for President-elect Trump

Unlike any of his predecessors, President-elect Trump has “at least 75” open lawsuits, according to a nationwide study by USA Today. Just before his election on November 8, Trump threatened to sue all the women who claimed to have been sexually molested by him (some 12 women at last count), and several of them threatened to sue him for defamation for calling them all liars. In addition, as his campaign was winding down, several vendors whom he had used during the campaign, claimed they were confronted with his standard business practice of refusing to pay, so several of these people may soon file actions against him, if they are not paid. So, Donald Trump could enter the presidency with as many as one hundred active civil lawsuits, which will have potentially differing and multiple detrimental impacts on his presidency.

Either as a plaintiff or defendant, and Trump is on both sides, in any lawsuit requires time and effort to prepare oneself and one’s attorneys. It takes time and effort to testify at a deposition or during a trial. And it takes time and effort to stay abreast of the lawsuit. Given the fact that Trump may be the least qualified person to ever be elected president, he has much more work to do than most who seek and reach this high office. He does not even have a good newspaper knowledge of the way Washington works, let alone the presidency. It appears he has never read even a single biography of any of the men who preceded him as president, so he has a very steep learning curve. Throughout the campaign there have been reports that he has a very short attention span. Bottom line: His litigation is going to make it much more difficult, if not impossible, to meet his responsibilities as president. The smart move would be to settle these cases, but he may not have the money to do so. And he may be financially stretched to pursue them as well.

To have a good legal team costs a lot of money. Given the fact Trump has refused to make public his tax returns, and little is known about his business affairs, it is unclear whether he is anywhere near as wealthy as he purports to be. As president-elect or president, he could, of course, create more conflicts of interest than he already is hiding by borrowing money to cover the costs of all this litigation. Probably Russia or China would be delighted to loan President Trump a few billion, but it might not be so good for the United States. One thing he cannot do is use government lawyers for his private lawsuits, so taxpayers are not going to help him out.

Finally, Trump has a solid reputation as a liar. For example, The Washington Post ran a story during the campaign about how in a 2007 lawsuit deposition he was caught in some 30 lies. Also during the campaign, Newsweek reported on his lie after lie after lie. Trump clearly outpaced his opponents during the campaign with his untruthfulness. But lying as president-elect or president is playing in a very different league.

No man in modern history has assumed the presidency with greater disapproval ratings than Trump. About half of the country despises him, and while he may be given a brief honeymoon in his new job, those who do not like this president will be looking for all the ways possible to do him in, and Democrats would love to do to Trump as Republicans did to Clinton—find a way to impeach and remove him. All the ligation following Trump into his presidency is pure grist for those who want him out of office. Trump can no longer play the fast and loose businessman to win or wiggle out of his lawsuits. While under oath in any of his lawsuits, he must understand that perjury, which is also considered obstruction of justice, will give his political enemies the same case that was made against Clinton.

His first test is fast approaching.

Trump’s First Litigation Test Is Fast Approaching: Trump University

The Trump University litigation, filed by former students throughout the country, began over six years ago, and long before Trump launched his presidential bid. It now appears these actions will go to trial on November 28, 2016, in the San Diego courtroom of U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel. This is the judge, it will be recalled, Trump attacked as a “Mexican” who could not give him a fair trial because Trump wants to build a wall on the southern border. In fact, Judge Curiel was born in Indiana.

As I write, Judge Curiel is hearing arguments on the final pre-trial motions, deciding on what evidence he will or will not admit during the trial, as well as potential jury instructions for this high-profile case. Yesterday, November 10, the judge issued several tentative rulings, which included rejecting the blanket efforts by Trump to prevent matters that arose during his presidential race from entering the trial.

If Trump were half as wealthy as he pretends, he would settle this case. Indeed, Judge Curiel encouraged such action during the proceedings on November 10th, sending counsel to Judge Jeffery Miller when Trump’s attorneys indicated an interest in discussing settlement. It is going to cost him millions in legal fees for what is expected to be about a six-week trial. It is going to cost him even more if he loses, and if this was not a solid case it would not be going to trial. As I wrote in an earlier column, this case could be financially fatal for Trump, which may be why he is not settling. At this point settlement would be the smart choice, and would show that he cared about his new job.

There is another reason to settle now that he is president-elect because it has another consequence. The core charge of this case is that Donald Trump committed criminal fraud, and on a grand scale involving thousands of people. While candidate Trump was shameless, a guilty verdict of fraud and racketeering involving the financial fleecing of people who could not afford it, could lead to his impeachment, particularly if he so foolish as to lie and obstruct justice.

We are about to learn more about the next President of the United States, including how long his presidency may last.

“I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.” .

In America was young women had no rights at all. We also kept millions in bondage with no rights at all. Could it be that America in 1850 looked quite similar to the Arab nations look today?

          • richardwfaith

Look at the bright side for America: we LEARNED, and we PUT DOWN those evils; on the other hand, the mosleMs have DOUBLED DOWN on those same abuses.

          • NavymanBill

THAT IS A LOAD OF BULL S##T. Yhey found his records in the School inJakarta, Indonesia, as Barry Soetoro. It SHOWED his religion as Muslim. There are COPIES of it. They FORGT to erase them as they did in Mombasa, and at Pepperdine, and Columbia(no one remembers hi going there!) nor even at Harvard. Editor of the Law review, but NEVER WROTE ANYTHING.

Why do you have this need to lie about Obama?

          • AKLady

Why do you need to tell lies about Obama?

      • glorybe2

Yes and remember that when 9/11 happened we had a right wing republican president. The right wing has not kept us safe from anything.

        • richardwfaith

FYI, busH is no right-winger at all. He is a closet globalist; that alone is sufficient to establish that the well-being of America is far from his top priority. Being a globalist is a trait that he SHARES WITH obamA. Most of the ostensible rivalry between Democrats and Republicans is staged by the Globalist CABAL, and obamA’s habit of blaming busH is a prime example of this. The faux-rivalry exists for a very distinct purpose: to maintain the very false illusion among the people that our SO-CALLED “two-party system” offers us a “choice”. As long as people are stupid enough to believe it, Democrats and Republicans will continue to glare at each other OVER the table, WHILE FONDLING each other UNDER the table at the same time, and LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK.

          • glorybe2

Thee is no global cabal nor any evidence of one either. to some people Adolp Hitler was not right wing enough. Now compare Bernie or George McGovern to baby Bush and realize that Bush was right wing through and through. Bill Clinton was right of center as well and Obama showed no signs of being a liberal at all. And now we have an ignorant mut making all kinds of tragic errors and when he does he tries to blame his errors on Obama. Yesterday’s botched raid in Yemen is an example. CHUMP is trying to put that on Obama.

          • richardwfaith

Obviously you have read little if anything about the following:
UN, CFR, Trilateral Commission, Bilderberg Group, Club of Rome, North American Union, Global Union, Skull and Bones, Bohemian Grove Club, Rhodes Trust, Open Society Institute, Tides Foundation, Center for American Progress, m*o*v*e*o*n*.o*r*g*, m*e*d*i*a*m*a*t*t*e*r*s*.o*r*g*, soro$$$$$$, henrY ki$$inger, mauricE $trong, daviD rockefelleR, World Court, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, SO-CALLED “Federal Reserve” (get a CLUE: it is absolutely NOT federal!), World Without Borders, and Nobel Committee (especially in connection with awards to obamA and ara-FAT). If you read and comprehend a plurality of articles from several sources each on each of the above and are STILL capable of denying the existence of a Globalist CABAL, then you are hopelessly mired in DOUBLE-THINK.

          • glorybe2

Those orgs do exist and not one of them is up to any scheme to try and take over the world. In fact many of those orgs have open meetings. Skull and Bones at Yale goes back to before 1900. What in the world would anyone scheme to do that would surely take place after they were dead and buried? Skull and Bones selects new members from the lower classes at Yale according to their social and academic history with an eye towards gathering future leaders of industry, commerce and government into association so that their goals will be supported by fellow members. The Shrine and Free Masons have similar goals. They do not deny that in any way. Think of it this way. If you get all the way up to being a Shriner and you need a loan you go to another member of the Shrine and seek that loan. The social cost of not repaying that loan is enough to ensure that the loan involves very little risk.

    • AKLady

Yes, she expected the Prwsident of the United States to uphold the Constitution, the law and his oat of office. She was wrong, he is an idiot and cares only about his bank account.

    • obamasucks

I think my first act as prez would be to rid as many libs and dems from all cabinet positions possible. Then work to insure the others are not a threat to our Nation, Citizens and Security. You never know where The Treasonous One stashed a ‘Manchurian Candidate’ or four.
This leads me to wonder IF we can ever be sure. Unfortunately, that type of thinking will quickly lead one into paranoia and other terrible delusional thought process that are rather detrimental to maintaining freedom. There will be legitimate cries of McCarthyism, cronyism, Nazi and SS types of isms, some real, others, well, not so.
I had to scream in outrage at my Representative, Paul Gosar(R-AZ), during the last 8 years to DO something to control Mr. Obama’s treacherous agenda. “DO something. Anything! At least, Paul, TRY SOMETHING. Show us you are trying to at least slow him down, that you KNOW what he is trying is UNCONSTITUTIONAL and some(most) of it TREASONOUS! We need you to do your job. You may not like it, but it is your job.”
I never received a response to any of the letters. In November, Mr. Paul Gosar did NOT receive my vote for re-election. The same was true of “Senators”; Mr. John McCain and Mr. Jeff Flake, oh does he live up to his name, a True FLAKE.

Could not of happened to a nicer witch! At the time, could not understand why she was kept at all, as it’s been known for awhile her allegiance to Obama. But I guess Trump was giving her a shot.i’m sure a lesson learned for him.

    • bobvelon

Prs. Trump needs to fire everyone that was appointed by the imposter…Clean the slate and clean out the old administration…..He needs to appoint people who are loyal to him and the Republican party. Dems need to be shown the door….

      • richjack4

As I am sure he will, but he kept in place those that needed to aid a transition that he thought would be capable of such. This person was the wrong choice

      • E Scott Hollingsworth

Yeah. And that impostor needs to be handcuffed and made to do the perp walk in front of all to see.

      • Mary Muennig

        He’s working on it.

  • Jim_Macklin

A clean slate. Sally Yates fired for cause. State Department managers all quit. Better than having internal loyalty problems working against policy.
Flash mobs organized by Soros and the DNC disrupt airports.

Allin all, Trump is doing what he promised and schumer is being the a**hole he always has been.

  • panchoVilladeltren

This firing was done ‘BECAUSE IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO’. This liberal, Muslim loving traitors need to not just be fired, but expelled to some Muslim desert. In spite of his enormous STUPIDITY, Trump is getting the right advice.

    • Arthur Ittus

When are you running for president of the USA?

      • panchoVilladeltren

Just as soon as I have the time. The Presidency is a full time job, not a full time vacation like Obama thought.

        • Arthur Ittus

Yep, for the rest of his useless life~

    • Mary Muennig

Everybody has had stupidity in their lives–some more than others.

  • OldHighlandGuyOne

Now that is a President. Go Mr. President! Drain the swamp!
I am loving it more each day!

Now that you have made us glad we voted for you ,please do something about BLM before they kill alot of white Americans.

    • Mary Muennig

Yeh really; white lives matter and every other color of skin matters–that’s ridiculous.

  • Oldcamaros

The article contains an error: Pursuant to their announcement last night, the DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel approved the order only for form and did not review its substance, which makes the article ‘alternative facts’…!

    • Vassiliki

Read it again. The Legal Counsel reviewed and approved the order for legality not form.

      • Oldcamaros

They approved it for legal form according the the announcement, not its legality, and specifically stated its substance was not reviewed.

        • Arthur Ittus

Pelosi said it will be checked for legality later~

          • Anne Latella

Pelosi- President Trump already had it checked for legality before he enacted it. Unlike Obama care which was passed and Americans were told they would know what is in the law after it was passed. Well we did find out. It was a huge messy mistake!

          • Arthur Ittus

Ah, that’s kinda what I was insinuating.
I believe she was the porcupine that made the statement~

        • Vassiliki

According to the article it states for legality. It did not mention that it substance was not reviewed. Maybe in another article.

  • Garrett Auman

EVERYTHING I WANTED TO SAY, YOU GUS ALREADY SAID. THANK SOOOOOOOO MUCH !!!!!!!

  • Ron Smith

He needs to do alot more fireing. As well as bring the Clinton to justice all 3 of them. And Obama on charges of treason.

  • shref40

A Libtard friend (yes, I have them) advises me that we are in a new post-prejudice era where we must accept a certain amount of losses from Muslim extremists. “They are exposed to nothing except hatred of the West and Jews from infancy,” she said. “They can’t help it.” I asked her how many American killed each year she would consider acceptable. “A couple hundred would be ok. We have to show them that we love Muslims. Then they will start to love us back.”

    • Ken Mayton

      I would lose that friend

      • Mary Muennig

With friends like that you don’t need any enemies.

    • Arthur Ittus

You call that POS a friend? You’ve got serious problems~

      • shref40

I should add that she believes that the Twin Towers fall on 9-11 was photoshopped because she read it on the internet. Our friendship is complex, it transcends politics.

        • Arthur Ittus

If that’s the relationship you condone, don’t complain~

          • shref40

Your are correct. I’m not defending this sorry-assed situation.

    • Mary Muennig

With friends like that you don’t need any enemies.

    • MasajMiradh

  • Jacob Korving

I am really amazed that the folks on the left do not seem to realize that this country is on the verge of every kind of bankruptcy possible, financially, morally, socially, by separating black and white and fueling the fires of hate to perpetuate the division between the races. You cannot be so blind that you did not see that and that it is destroying the fiber of the country which we the people are trying to overcome. Only a warped mind could condone this reasoning and random killing of the innocence is yourright? What are you thinking? You are responsible even if you don’t want to be. Ifyou don’t want the consequences, don’t do the act, I don’t want to or have to pay for other’s acts of carelessness, nobody pays for mine!

  • GraceW

I hope he fired this Commiecrat himself.

  • Col C

I saw the ad about Sally Field up above and it reminded me of a movie that she made called “Not without my Daughter”, the movie was about her escape from an Arab country, after she was tricked by her American-Muslim, Doctor Husband, who when he was in the United States was fine, but when he was in his country of origin, he went crazy on her. He wouldn’t let her leave, beat her, and she found out that what she thought was a vacation, became a fight for her and her daughter’s life, and that his intention all along was to get her and her daughter there and keep them there, in submission to him. The husband was played by Alfred Molina (Doc Oc from Spiderman). This movie was based on a true story, and was made when it wasn’t politically incorrect to do so, but is an accurate picture of what our nation could become, if we are not vigilant. You go Trump, protect America.

    • NavymanBill

Col C, I remember seeing it. You are absolutely right.

  • Letterman007

These stupid Democrats tried to ruin the country and now are ruining their party! They just dont get that former Democrats voted for Trump and more are seeing the light. They don’t want to be part of the Soryass world order!! They don’t want this fine country to become the next Iran, Sumalia, or Egypt!

    • Voice Of Reason

        • Voice Of Reason

“Good answer. Good answer. I like the way you think. I’m gonna be watching you.”

          Got my Vote!

  • Col C

I read a poll that says 80% of Republicans, and 59% of all other Americans believe in the Muslim ban, and vetting process. Now, in my book that is about 70% of the United States believe in actually following the law and protecting the United States from terrorists posing as refugees.

Here’s a question, why aren’t these refugees being relocated in the seven Muslim countries, where their religion and lifestyles are similar? Why are they being brought to Western countries, unless of course they are being persecuted because of a differing religion (other than Muslim), they should be re-settled in Muslim countries. That would make more sense, and I even give to the organizations that are doing this.

    • Mary Muennig

Yeh really!!! I don’t understand that either!!!

    • Anne Latella

Trump already covered that base. Before he put the law into action he called the Saudis and asked them to find Sanctuary cities in their own country for now. The Saudis complied with President Trumps request. He enacted this law in a very humane way. Very thoughtfully, unlike most prior Presidents.

      • Col C

Thank you very much for that information, I’m so sick of the press twisting everything.

  • jim_shipley

accountability.?..That must be a new and and unfamiliar concept for Washington. I hope it spreads.

  • Anne Latella

Sally Yates was the AG and was not sure of the law? She should have been fired thirty years ago. She should know the law or if she is unsure she should go to the law library and look it up instead of being an obstructionist to the President of the U. S. who I might add is her boss who does know the law.

    • Mary Muennig

He’s seems like he’s learning more all the time.

  • Leo

I just love we have a POTUS that actually stands by his word and does what he promised to do no matter the BS that comes with it. This obama left over is still in her delusional bubble. That’s ok, Trump took care of that glitch.

  • pappy450

THAT is a start! NOW time to go through the whole swamp… root out the “covert” oscumbag lovers and send them packing. One traitor at a time…. just keep the “ball” rolling. Anyone (in Government) that is against PRESIDENT TRUMP and making America GREAT again, are working against the wishes of “We the People” and should be removed. Use another one of our “freedoms” and LEAVE if you don’t like it here! (just surrender your citizenship and passport because we DON’T want you back.)

  • Eric Pearson

Bullshit as usual. Sally Yates is a career prosecutor, highly respected on both sides of the aisle. She did what she thought was right. Trump on the other hand wants a “yes man” in the AG’s office. He made that perfectly clear last night. If that munchkin from Alabama gets confirmed, that’s exactly what he’ll get. Can anyone even imagine Sessions saying no to His Highness. Never mind that Sessions actually has experience in this arena and Trump has none. Trump is a monumental mess and it’s getting worse by the minute.

Banning immigration based on country of origin has been illegal for more than 50 years: The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. Then there is the fact that the only common factor among the nations is the fact that their religious majority is Muslim. The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution bans legal action based on religion.

Markedly absent from the list are Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Indonesia and Afghanistan. Seven countries in which Trump has significant business interests.

Of the over 3,000 Americans killed by terrorists, within the U.S., 99% were murdered by Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Lebanon. Not one of those countries are on Trump’s list. Not one American has been killed, on US soil, by anyone from the nations named in his executive order.

This is the product of O and his unlawful administration. He produced BLM and cop killers along with defiant illegals who thought they could riot and they did in the protests against him during his rallies, along with loads of Muslims who also ran this entire country by the nose during the disturbing “Eight Years of Destruction” by O. She is another loud mouthed, know nothing, dumbass who doesn’t understand the gig is up. It is over. Trump won’t take crap off anyone and just because he ran under the Republican banner doesn’t mean he is gutless like the Republican party showed themselves to be during O’s lawless administration. They are like children whose parents sat around in a boozed up daze or high on drugs allowing the children to tear the house up, kick the dogs and cats, cuss, and run a muck. Well I suppose just like those unruly children they will learn through “Tough Love” and after many, like these Mayors of Sanctuary cities get their just deserts, either in the case of the Mayors by spending some downtime in prison or being exposed like she was.

Sick of these people they all need to straighten up or get out of America cause this Republic Will Stand and Law and Order will once again prevail.

And, unlike the phony bitches you pick up in bars, with the fake boobs, Botoxed lips and hair like a wild Texas Wind, I have had a best friend, a male, for over 3 decades. I also have dozens of guys every day on FB all asking to be friends based entirely on my “pretty face.”

Sorry if all you have is a golddigger who considers men nothing more than a personal piggy bank. But you see, we Yankee gals up north don’t NEED a man. We just keep ’em around for amusement.

          • bttrap

Crazy people like you should never have been released into society by Reagan or wait..I guess that should be “by Putin” whose dick you love to lick, right shitball?

See what happens when you lift up the rock of democrap BS. All the slugs underneath are finally forced to face the light of day. I have never seen such crap from any political party in my 71 years. These lefty rectums are self-destructing in full view of the world. It is their own fault they lost so many elections in the last 3 cycles.
Over the last several years I have never seen such garbage put up for elections. Hillary ? …Almost as inexperienced as ozero. , Lurch Heinz Kerry, the only self admitted war criminal of the Vietnam War ( Like Yogi used to say, ” You can Look It Up ! “).Joe ( Old foot in the mouth ) Biden,Teddy the world class, drunk, swimming murderer and last but not least, Bernie the socialist democrap who never understood that the last socialist democraps were called ” The NAZI Party.
Yes , RINO’s were also dumb choices. McCain , who’s best days were 50 years ago and who did only one really good thing in his campaign and that was to introduce Sarah Palin. Bob Dole ( a Really nice guy but a poor candidate, who I got to play my fife for on his 76th birthday ,[ I played 76 Trombones !] )
Donald J. Trump, businessman, billionaire and mostly a social liberal who finally gets disgusted with the whole DC gang and energizes people who have been ignored by both parties. I don’t care that he isn’t as polished as my pre-election favorite Ted Cruz, that he wasn’t part of the DC crowd, only affiliated to themselves or that he is married to a beautiful self-made lady who made Michelle look like the phony she is.
No, it was because Trump was not afraid to talk about illegal immigration, islamic ,fanatical, murderous terrorism,Corruption in DC, the horrible state of education, the bureaucratic bloated government that is mostly leftist that has written their own regulations ( Without Congressional oversight ) that has cost our economy millions, bad trade deals, the UN which is a failed institution, NATO ” Allies ” who don’t pony up their fair share and an racist occupier in the White House who hated America , her citizens and the Constitution.
I hope he fires everyone of these people who think they are more important than the president and who have allegiance only to their corrupt party and not to the country.

    TRUMPS THE BOSS

  • Libertarian Soldier

It had to be done! The order is the exact action that needed to be taken. More than anything else, this is the President’s first responsibility, to keep us safe. Taht’s the responsibility that barack hussein-obama and his party and the past two administrations (less so in the Bush 43, but with some complicity), before has been derelict and has so politicized it for so long that the public misrepresent it as some kind of “ism”, based on identity politics in their effort to commit widespread election fraud as a policy.

The act is exactly what is called for and it’s completely legal.

Read the Exec Order and read US Code, Ttle 8, Section 1182, “Inadmissible Aliens; (f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President”
“Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. Whenever the Attorney General finds that a commercial airline has failed to comply with regulations of the Attorney General relating to requirements of airlines for the detection of fraudulent documents used by passengers traveling to the United States (including the training of personnel in such detection), the Attorney General may suspend the entry of some or all aliens transported to the United States by such airline.”
Though I agree with it, I didn’t write the code and find barack hussein-obama and his ilk complicit in the efforts of al-Qaida, ISIS, the Taliban, the Wahhabi, Ansar al-Sharia, Hezbollah, Hamas and al Shabob, in their efforts to harm the country, for the purposes of election fraud and his own narcissistic efforts to the end of a “legacy”, the islamocentric effort to bring peace to the middle east, Washington Caliphate style.
This is the legal code. I couldn’t find any reference to a ‘muslim ban’ in the exec. order. Love to be proven wrong! I mean “MUSLIM BAN”. I’m not a trump fan. In fact, he’s the most vacuous choice there was in a selection of 17 on the republican side who was lucky that the democrats put up an equally crooked, narcissist but the left media and the trump network selected him. To the government, its party and its propaganda ministry (media), be careful what you wish for; you just might screw yourself out of your choice.
Digressing, it’s nothing more than hyperbole to call it a “MUSLIM BAN”. I’m very interested in another idea. Here’s an idea that should appeal to those that live by the mantra of the 4 year old, “that’s not fair,” How about bringing the same number of Christians, a group that truly fits the definition of “refugee,” that aren’t fighting age male muslims from these troubled countries, specifically Iraq and Syria? How about the group of would be refugees that were 1 Million, in the land of the origination of Christianity, (6 centuries before the concoction of islam), and not just the 7 identified by barack hussein-obama and donald trump, who now that they are 1/4 that number and face extinction, are being discriminated against in their own country as well as by this one and its former failed pResident?

If you deliberately oppose him — especially in a public way — expect to be fired. This man is not afraid to do the right thing. This firing certainly will not look good on your record or resume.

The AG upheld the law. That is what her job requires of her. That is what her oath of office required of her. Of course he fired her.

    • InternetCensorsREvil

The EO is the law as is the constitution – she failed to uphold it; thus she is FIRED and good riddance.

      • AKLady

        Take an American Government class.
A President is not a king.
That is why our government has three parts.

        • InternetCensorsREvil

I think I’m better versed in US government that most, certainly better than any single brain cell liberal.

Go read the history of EOS. Why they exist.

          • AKLady

EOS are one of the reason we have a Supreme Court.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

No, the Supreme Court is there to be one of the 3 balances of power.

            Congress…

Look. I recommended you educate yourself on EOs. You seem to have a lack of knowledge on them so I am breaking my rule to not do research for others.

Read this and THEN we can have a conversation between equally educates individuals.

            https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executive_order

          • AKLady

Yes, the Supreme Court exists as a balance of power.
The Court’s authority extends to Presidential Executive Orders.
            Please educate yourself further.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

I NEVER said it DIDN’T extend to EO’s. I DID say that no court HAS seen the need for a ‘judicial review’.

It wasn’t done when Reagan did it; when Carter did it; when Bush Sr and Jr did it; when Clinton did it; when Obozo did it.

WHY? Because it isn’t unconstitutional. There were flaws in the was it was done, yes. All visas for those 7 nations should first have been revolved, THEN put up the ban.

Immigration and refugee status is the purview of the SEC. State, which is part of the executive branch.

Immigrants and refugees are not citizens nor legal residents and so do NOT enjoy protection under the Constitution.

We let them in because we choose to and we can choose to not let them in too. It is just that simple.

          • AKLady

EVERYONE WITHIN THE US BORDERS ENJOY PROTECTION UNDER THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION.

When Reagan did it, we were at war with the nations involved.

When Carter did it, we were at war with the nations on the list.

Yes, we can choose not to allow immigration, but we cannot deny immigrant status based on either religion or country of origin, unless we are actively engaged in war with a nation..

The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965
First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

          • InternetCensorsREvil

Everyone within the US borders LEGALLY enjoy the protection of the Constitution.

And we are now at war with people who have infiltrated those countries.

The 1st Amendment applies only to the US government not establishing an official religion nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof of.

The Immigration act to which you alluded has nothing to say about this subject.

The Hart-Celler Act abolished the national origins quota system that had structured American immigration policy since the 1920s, replacing it with a preference system that focused on immigrants’ skills and family relationships with citizens or residents of the U.S. Numerical restrictions on visas were set at 170,000 per year, not including immediate relatives of U.S. citizens, nor “special immigrants” (including those born in “independent” nations in the Western hemisphere; former citizens; ministers; employees of the U.S. government abroad).

          • AKLady

EVERYONE WITHIN THE US BORDERS ENJOY PROTECTION UNDER THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION.

The US does not have two set of laws, one for legals and one for illegals.

We are not “at war” with any nation at this time.

The The Hart–Celler Act abolished the national-origins quota. It eliminated national origin, race, and ancestry as basis for immigration.

          • InternetCensorsREvil

We ARE at war or did you miss the fact that we have troops overseas? The fact that the Obozo administration was too gutless to recognize this cold hard fact and refused to call it Radical Islamic Terrorism is really quite irrelevant.

As for the Illegals – they broke federal law. They are felons. They have the right to GTFO or be arrested and deported. THOSE are their rights.

          • AKLady

We have had troops overseas since WW II.

Congress has not declared a war with any of the nations in Trump’s travel ban.
            Only Congress can declare war.

The Constitution does not give a President the authority to unilaterally decide war and peace. In fact, without Congressional authorization, a President may only use troops for a total of 90 days.

The Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF), Pub. L. 107-40, codified at 115 Stat. 224 and passed as S.J.Res. 23 by the United States Congress on September 14, 2001, authorizes the use of United States Armed Forces against those responsible for the attacks on September 11, 2001 and any “associated forces”.
Interestingly, the 9/11/2001 terrorists were Saudi Arabian citizens. The House of Saud actively supports the training camp where they trained The House of Saud is still our ally.

A peace treaty was signed with Iraq, Congress approved that treaty,

  • ringostarr1

Of course the democrats attacked Trump for firing her. That’s their biggest problem in the democratic party. They let everything thats not working hang around forever. Just look at Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Wasserman Schultz. Three of the biggest reasons Clinton lost the election, and they are still there doing the same things they’ve always done. Because of the way they performed when Obama was in office, they lost 1,200 seats. They are well on their way to annihilating their complete party. Their contempt and disrespect for our President is an embarrassment not only for themselves, but for the men and women who fight to keep us safe every day by putting their lives on the line.

Attn to all-I have engaged in several discussions with the blogger known as AKLady. this person(woman) is a serious liar and prevaricator. In this thread she just told me that she did two tours in VietNam in field hospitals, and that “Uncle Sam ” sent her to Medical school for which she owed six years. I find her timeline troubling. First, she has admitted that I am older than her(I am62) I entered US service in 1972. I was 17 and a half years old. Active combat for the US ended with the treaty of Paris on Jan 29, 1973. (Likely she would have been in High School!!?. The war ended completely with the fall of Saigon in late April 1975.I was 20, and was in jump School when the SS Mayaguez incident went down. She told me that she graduated from the Uniformed Service University of Health Sciences (USUHS, or “Useless” in GI slang) But that wasn’t established until around 1980-81, so how could she have been a doctor or even a medic for two tours in Nam, especially if she was 14-15 years old in 1972-73? I do believe she was a physician, that she attended USUHS, and was an Army doctor for a while. (I thought the original payback was 10 years-though maybe it was six in the first years, or a total of six active and four reserve or something.) But everything else she says are lies and falsehoods. I should have known better than to re-engage her. She’s like the “TarBaby” from Uncle Remus-once you’re stuck with her, you can’t get rid of her!. A sad, and desperately troubled person. Avoid her.
