Ukraine Whistleblower Exposed: Who is Eric Ciaramella?
According to RealClearInvestigations (and not contradicted anywhere, so far as we can see), the identity of the infamous Ukraine “whistleblower” has been an open secret on Capitol Hill for weeks. Not only do most politicians on the Hill know who he is, but so does President Trump, and, most infuriatingly, so does the major mainstream media. In other words, when The New York Times writes up a “here’s what we know” about the whistleblower, they aren’t being honest. Not that that’s any surprise, but it just confirms that the NY/Washington media’s job has turned from objective – or even biased – reporting to outright carrying water for the Democratic Party. It’s not their job to protect this guy. It’s their job to…do their job. They’ve forgotten that in the Trump Era.
But if there’s any silver lining to the media’s turn towards propaganda, it’s that it gives independent media a chance to shine. So we applaud Paul Sperry of RealClear for his extraordinary expose in which he identifies the Ukraine whistleblower as Eric Ciaramella.
From the report:
RealClearInvestigations is disclosing the name because of the public’s interest in learning details of an effort to remove a sitting president from office. Further, the official’s status as a “whistleblower” is complicated by his being a hearsay reporter of accusations against the president, one who has “some indicia of an arguable political bias … in favor of a rival political candidate” — as the Intelligence Community Inspector General phrased it circumspectly in originally fielding his complaint.
Federal documents reveal that the 33-year-old Ciaramella, a registered Democrat held over from the Obama White House, previously worked with former Vice President Joe Biden and former CIA Director John Brennan, a vocal critic of Trump who helped initiate the Russia “collusion” investigation of the Trump campaign during the 2016 election.
Further, Ciaramella (pronounced char-a-MEL-ah) left his National Security Council posting in the White House’s West Wing in mid-2017 amid concerns about negative leaks to the media. He has since returned to CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.
“He was accused of working against Trump and leaking against Trump,” said a former NSC official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence matters.
The important thing about outing Ciaramella’s identity isn’t that we all know his name now. That’s relatively trivial. What’s important is that we now have a greater understanding of who this guy really is. A CIA analyst? Sure. A career in public service? It seems so. But once you dig beneath that shiny exterior, you’re left with a Democrat who has had it out for President Trump from day one.
“Ciaramella worked with a Democratic National Committee operative who dug up dirt on the Trump campaign during the 2016 election, inviting her into the White House for meetings, former White House colleagues said,” reports Sperry. “The operative, Alexandra Chalupa, a Ukrainian-American who supported Hillary Clinton, led an effort to link the Republican campaign to the Russian government. ‘He knows her. He had her in the White House,’ said one former co-worker, who requested anonymity to discuss the sensitive matter.”
Just digest that for a minute. Ciaramella, now on his high horse about what a president can and can’t do in the name of politics, worked with a Ukrainian to get dirt on Donald Trump. You couldn’t make this stuff up if you tried.
Democrats are trying to make an impeachable crime out of the very thing that they were guilty of in 2016 (not to mention, earlier this very year). It’s time for all of this to come out in the wash, and that starts with the systematic dismantling of this whistleblower and his political motivations against Donald Trump.
