(FixThisNation.com) – Speculators want Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) to be considering leaving his office in favor of the White House. While DeSantis has not yet made any announcements on whether or not he would be placing a presidential bid there are certain policies that hint that he might be preparing to emerge as a presidential candidate.

1. His approach to the pandemic

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis became particularly well known for his opposition to pandemic restrictions and mandates. Businesses in Florida were allowed to open up much sooner than they had been in other states, and people did not have to provide proof of vaccination. DeSantis also opposed the mask mandate which many other states had been adamant on.

2. Fewer Gun Restrictions

Much like most other conservatives, DeSantis has branded himself as someone who is less interested in gun restrictions. Last month he even noted that he was going to push for state lawmakers to pass legislation that would allow Floridians to carry firearms out in public without needing any special permits. This has garnered him support from gun-rights groups.

3. Education

His education reforms that predominantly target “woke” culture have also become particularly well known. Most recently he banned schools from teaching an Advanced Placement course on African American studies, noting that this course was focused on promoting a political agenda. Other key issues he has taken on include prohibiting instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity for children up to the third grade.
