Bill Clinton: “Not True” That Hillary Lied About Classified Emails

If there’s anyone more qualified to speak on matters of truth than Bill Clinton, we have no idea who it might be. And so it’s with that reverence and respect that we listen to him explain why the entire investigation into his wife’s private email server was a sham.

At the Asian American Journalists Association’s presidential forum on Friday, the former president was asked why the American public should trust Hillary Clinton after she lied about the classified nature of her emails.

“Wait a minute,” Clinton said. “It’s not true.”

“First of all, the FBI director said, when he testified before Congress, he had to amend his previous day’s statement that she had never received any emails marked classified,” he continued. “They saw two little notes with a ‘C’ on it — this is the biggest load of bull I ever heard — that were about telephone calls that she needed to make and the State Department typically puts a little ‘C’ on it to discourage people from discussing it in public in the event the secretary of state, whoever it is, doesn’t make a phone call. Does that sound threatening to national security to you?”

Clinton went on to essentially tell the gathered journalists that the truth of the situation was well beyond the average person’s intelligence.

“The State Department and the other security agencies have different classification systems,” he said. “These things were never resolved. Now, it’s too complicated to explain to people.”

Clinton ended on a note of self-pity.

“She should have known that a different set of rules would apply to her,” he said.

On Fox & Friends, Wisconsin Rep. Sean Duffy dismissed Clinton’s comments as “spin.”

“For Bill Clinton to come out now and say that this is a bunch of ‘bull’, why then did he have this secret meeting with Loretta Lynch on the tarmac in Arizona to make sure he could tap down any kind of prosecution that comes from the DOJ,” Duffy said. “If he wasn’t concerned about Hillary Clinton and her scandal about the email he wouldn’t have had to have that secret meeting.”

Oh right, well, Bill already explained all that, didn’t he? It was just a friendly little chat between two old friends who happened to be there at the time same. That’s all. And it was a complete coincidence that the case happened to wrap itself up within days of that meeting. Duffy should stop and remember who he’s talking about. He should ask himself one question. One very important question:

When has this man ever lied to us?
