END OF THE WORLD: Absurd Overreactions to Trump’s Paris Decision

700

Reckless!

Indefensible!

Absence of leadership!

Crime against humanity!

Yes, President Trump has pulled the U.S. out of the worthless and economically destructive Paris Climate Agreement, and liberals are fit to be tied. On Thursday, leading Democrats in Washington and Hollywood fell all over themselves to see who could issue the strongest condemnation of the move, making fools of themselves in the process. Between their hysterical overreaction and the Kathy Griffin incident earlier in the week, Trump’s poll numbers are sure to skyrocket in the coming days. Your average American voter is surely beginning to realize just how…removed from sanity…the left really is.

Naturally, former President Barack Obama – whose misbegotten legacy is being erased by his successor – was quick to release a statement, and the news networks were only too happy to give it a showcase.

“The nations that remain in the Paris Agreement will be the nations that reap the benefits in jobs and industries created,” Obama said. “I believe the United States of America should be at the front of the pack. But even in the absence of American leadership; even as this Administration joins a small handful of nations that reject the future; I’m confident that our states, cities, and businesses will step up and do even more to lead the way, and help protect for future generations the one planet we’ve got.”

Yes, they probably will. That’s exactly why it makes no difference, climate-wise, whether we remain in this agreement or not. That’s the whole point! Even the wackiest of wacko environmentalists say that the market will push green energy forward. So why do we need this job-killing pact in place?

Then of course, there was Al Gore, who has an Inconvenient Truth sequel to promote.

“Removing the U.S. from the Paris agreement is a reckless and indefensible action that undermines America’s standing in the world and threatens to damage humanity’s ability to solve the climate crisis in time,” Gore said in a statement. “But make no mistake, if President Trump won’t lead, the American people will.”

Funny, because we’d say pulling out of this agreement when the entire world is begging him to stay in it…that’s the very definition of leadership.

As obnoxious as Obama and Gore are, though, they were paragons of reason compared to many of their liberal brethren.

You had Michael Moore on Twitter claiming that Trump’s decision to pull out of the agreement amounted to a “crime against humanity.”

New York Times liberal Nicholas Kristof thought this was a clever analogy: “If somebody drives drunk, we arrest him. If he drives national policy recklessly, threatening our planet, we just call him ‘Mr. President.’”

Ho, ho. Good one.

“This is the day that the United States resigned as the leader of the free world,” said CNN’s Fareed Zakaria. “It’s nothing short of that. The irresponsibility of this act is breathtaking because the Paris climate accords are actually extraordinarily flexible. They do not dilute American sovereignty.”

Extraordinarily flexible, indeed. Another way of putting it: Every country gets to basically make up its own goalposts and then meet them or not. Essentially meaning that the agreement is useless, except as a way to get the U.S. to commit to paying for our economic competitors to upgrade their energy technology while hamstringing our own economy.

Well, liberals are gonna lib, and they have invested a tremendous amount of money and political capital into the propaganda that is global warming. Their overreaction is to be expected. Listening to their hysteria is a small price to pay for having a true leader who is willing to go the unpopular route in the name of American workers.

I don’t know why anyone is surprised. The liberals are the most hypocritical bunch of idiots on Earth. Of course they aren’t leaving, they are staying so they can make President Trump’s life miserable. I am glad he ignores these idiots. Listening to ABC this morning, you would think the terrorist attack in London was his fault, and they are more focused on the stupid Russian hacking the election because they are praying that they can find one little thing to start impeachment process. Liberals could care less about anyone but themselves. I honestly can’t stand them, they are pimples on societies ass, bottom feeders, they put all of us in danger because of their crazy mindset.

          8. Phoebe Isley says

What in the heck does all of this have to do with Paris Accord decision our President made? It’s always off point with you. Our President made an excellent decision and your views of whatever you are commenting on mean zero in all honesty.
To respond to your off point comment: Muslims aren’t rewriting their Quran just following it step by step where those you mentioned by no means followed the teachings of our Bible by our Lord Jesus. If you don’t believe me then read Jesus teachings in the New Testament and see for yourself and then proceed what Mohammed says Allah requests of them. If not then I would advise you to not comment on such things.

Do you see any homosexuals being beaten? If they were beaten the perp would go to jail. We’ve MILLIONS of Catholics in the country, Millions of Muslims and LOTS of people who drink “hard liquor” on Sunday. See any of them being mistreated? Then grow up and pretend you’re a responsible adult.

          14. William(Bill) Hooper says

            EXCELLENT suggestions,John E Strom Jr. !!! Why don’t you try them ?

          15. berg1928 says

Many homosexuals are being beaten, have been beaten and probably will be beaten tomorrow. I do not believe in same sex marriage and I find it disgusting when a woman refers to her “wife” or a man refers to his “husband”. ugh! But, I hate even more that any human being is beaten and mistreated for any reason and that should not be allowed in any civilized society.

          16. John E Strom Jr. says

At one time or another MOST people have been beaten up. You find the culprits, arrest them, try them and jail them. This country has created SPECIAL laws protecting homosexuals. That is wrong. They have the same protections as everyone else. Perhaps they need to be less conspicuous in public?

At one time or another every race has been enslaved. Seems only blacks continue to use that as an excuse for their conduct. Blacks commit 40% of ALL violent crimes yet are 13% of our population. And the elected officials excuse it.

Violence shouldn’t exist but it always will but passing laws to protect one group over all others just makes the problems harder to solve.

          17. berg1928 says

John, as far as homosexuals needing to be less conspicuous, I agree! (I still don’t like to see or hear about someone being beaten.) I’m from Sa Diego and I’ve seen some very blatant displays that were gross and the annual “Gay Pride Parade) is disgusting. A few years ago, a lesbian fire captain forced some of the straight firemen participate in this damned spectacle. I really do not understand why homosexuality is so socially acceptable these days. I’m totally against landlords, bakers, anyone being forced to serve anyone whose lifestyle goes against their religeous or personal beliefs.

          18. Linda Shelton says

However, that was the case when illiteracy dominates the Christian world. Actually, it was far more cruel, Christianity’s torture included burning at the stake, the wheel, water boarding, the mask, the iron maiden, the Judas cradle. Women were singled out for the Pear of Anguish, which tore the vagina, puncturing the bladder and rectum.

          23. k9maiden says

Excuse me, I’m Catholic and a strong Conservative. In case you don’t recall, Catholics are Christians! If you are a true Catholic, true to the religion, you cannot be a Democrat, because Catholics and Protestants do not, and should not believe in killing God’s most vulnerable, a baby yet to be born. There isn’t one true Catholic or Protestant Church I know of that kills if you refuse to join. Many Gays go to mass and to the neighboring church, Lutheran, and they are Christian. Yes, some Christians do put down Gays, but if you read Chorinthians, there are plenty of sins, not just “laying with the same sex” and that’s why I would never judge anyone who prefers the same sex. A sin is a sin is a sin, stealing, cursing in God’s name, adultery, sex before marriage, on and on. But MUSLIMS are not the same as we are, read Shariah Law, the Quran, the ideology was founded on the sword and has not progressed since Mohammad founded it. Peaceful what an oxymoron, Islam is anything but peaceful, and our Founding Fathers warned us about this barbarism. BO allowed them into the country in hopes of making America an Islamic caliphate. President Trump KNOWS the dangers of Islam, and if all of you liberals can’t see what happens when Islam starts to take over a country, or continent, look at what has been happening in Europe, in the Nordic countries, how damn blind are you? NO WE DO NOT WANT THEM HERE. Islamic Law, Shariah, is the complete opposite of our Constitution. ALL MUSLIMS FOLLOW SHARIAH, it is the law of ISLAM and that law condones pedophilia among other things. Islam treats women and little girls the most brutal of any other religion on Earth, so no, being a woman, having young granddaughters, I do not want them exposed to this evil ideology. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/74ab98c921f1d6815f996d9700b3f21da0c21fb3acae6d2e31c36d0219a585c5.jpg

They take the extreme cases, the outliers, and portray them as normal and then say “how deplorable they all are!” Then you repeat what they say, inadvertently becoming what you denounce: a bigot! Unquestionably !!!

        3. Arizona Don says

What we currently have in the progressive communist so called democrats is not liberals. If we go by the dictionary definition of liberal they are absolutely not liberals. They are not even close to that definition. Read it and I’m certain you will agree. For one thing it describes a liberal as someone who is willing to respect and accept behavior or opinions different from one’s own. Name me just one progressive communist so called democrat like that.

What I see in those gangsters is people who, if they thought they could get away with it they, would have all conservatives killed. They permeate hatred through civilization. Perhaps that is why they want the muslims left into this country not vetted. They think they will do it for them.

          1. matt tremont says

If you want to see hatred for others, all you have to do is read the comments on this page. RIghtwingers preach hate and revel in it.

So….highlighting ridiculous comments is hatred? Grow up!!!

          4. anAmericanByChoice says

HAHAHAHHAH! Best comment yet regarding progressives! Thumbs up Don!

          5. cv says

No, Matt. That’s prejudice. I’m a liberal. You’re not being liberal. You don’t judge the whole by the actions of a few, and if you do, you’re prejudiced. Further, I think gearbox was being facetious.

          6. Sol_of_Texas says

CV — if you are a true liberal, then my hat is tipped to you, sir. I firmly believe that true liberals prefer civil discourse to rock throwing and embracing mob mentality.

          7. cv says

Thanks, Texas-Soul. I do believe in rational, civil discourse and going through constitutional channels. I don’t assume I am correct except where the numbers are clear. I expect to have to make adjustments in my ideas. I have always recognized that conservatives are essential in the grand scheme of things. The unwillingness to consider the full spectrum of ideas is like playing cards with half a deck. Liberal, also, does not mean that the government does everything for everyone. It means that you personally put out by working better, harder, and as smart as you can. I have done this while suffering from lifelong medical adventures but I’m still here and still committed to making the world a better place. I was lucky—early childhood chronic organ disease forced me to find solutions to keep going, and I found that two hours of daily yoga and mindfulness meditation let me maximize my health and my chances.

          8. Sol_of_Texas says

I am not attracted to yoga, but I reckon a person should use any methods, techniques, medical treatments that is effective. So hang in there.

I absolutely agree that with the power of free will comes great responsibilty. I also firmly believe that men should not judge each other based on a group or collectivist identity. We are individuals and should be judged on our personal merits.

Perhaps we are twin sons of different mothers? Fare thee well. 🙂

          9. cv says

That is exactly right! One of my jobs is at a university where I teach physics and do research. I give my students lots of help, lots of chances, and even meet them frequently on weekends and at night for help sessions. Bottom line: I don’t care what they look like or where they came from. They must perform. That’s the only way they will be able to awaken their powers and be the best they can be. As to yoga…there are different styles. It takes tons of discipline and patience. But it makes me feel terrific and gives me staying power. A few years ago I had two major surgeries (one an emergency open heart) in successive days. I was out of the hospital in less than a week, which they told me was a record. I do from 100-150 exercises a day, and of course swim and walk and ride bikes, some weightlifting. Still trying to ramp up!

          10. berg1928 says

Please, can I be a triplet here?

          11. Arizona Don says

I have always said a two party system is necessary for this nations successes as well as survival. One major party usually leads to dictatorship(s). This goes along the lines of thinking competition is good for everyone and everything. While three major parties seem to lead to some chaos and unclear goals. However, it is also necessary both parties have the nations good as a goal. I am no longer certain the progressive so called democrats have that in mind. As a matter of fact I do believe both parties have been infiltrated by the communist party under the guise of progressives. It is just the republican party has “not” been to the same extent as the democratic party has.

There is little doubt in my mind obama did little if anything in an effort to make a better America. His unexplained fundamental transformation I am convinced was meant to transform America into something most Americans would not accept at least peacefully. When he also promised a civilian police force just as well equipped, funded and trained as the US military it became a mystery as to why such a force was suddenly needed unless of course he intended to use force. However, that too was unexplained. When everything is combined it is not difficult to come to the conclusion as to why he so desperately wanted strict gun control if not confiscation. I have thought, form day one by the way, obama would cause trouble before he left office. He did! Much will have to be done by this president if America is to get back on the free country status and remain a Constitutional Republic. America is unique in the world. Hopefully she will remain unique. With a strong two party system I think she will as long as one does not insist on a fundamental transformation.

          12. cv says

I was shocked that a party could vote unilaterally for something like the ACA. Why? Because it makes no sense not to have broad support, regardless of the merits of the measure (which are mostly hot air and deceptive, in my view). Two parties is far better than one, and I would like to see libertarians become stronger. The best hope, it seems to me, is the Convention of States and term limits. I’d like to see, also, a balanced budget. That is a great disciplining factor and many states have that built into their constitutions. That would reduce the buying of votes and currying favor for contributions, which have rotted out the system.

          13. Arizona Don says

Many people think liberals and conservatives are always at odds with each other. Not true and I have always known that. You may very well consider yourself a liberal however, I agree with much of what you say. If all who call themselves liberal thought and acted like you the world would be a much better place. Problem is the “progressives” from both parties not just one. John McCain is an excellent example of a progressive within the republican party. The democratic party seems to be over run with them. Personally I nearly never agree with McCain. By the way I am a registered conservative independent. In essence most of the Kennedy (JFK) democrats were liberal and I did agree with them in most cases not all but most.

There is actually no reason for what is going on in the legislative branch of this government. When the two parties are always fighting nothing ever gets done. So the problem is obvious and no one is willing to fix it. However, it is the country and citizens that suffers not the politicians. Consequently, there is only one answer and you hit it. An article 5 convention of states to change the constitution to fix many if not most of the problems which congress will never fix. Only bad things can happen if this problem is not solved and soon. I would hope members of both parties could see this.

However, keep in mind we, you and I, have proven here it is possible to get along and even cooperate to reach conclusions and solve problems.

          14. cv says

We could cooperate and work together, so it can be done, as you say! But it’s unlikely either one of us, or people like us, could get elected! Nor would I particularly want to join that morass. One thing’s for sure: if I were in Congress, I would be fiscally responsible, nor would I pander to my constituents or contributors. In which case I would be a one-time rep. The rest of them are doing their best to protect their sorry rear ends, as if that were their mission in government!

          15. Arizona Don says

Your right I would not want to run for any office even if I were younger. As it is I’m to old.

          16. berg1928 says

You make me feel proud of you, cy.

          18. Arizona Don says

I have not heard that can you name one right wringer (conservative) who preaches hate. I personally know of none. Would you like me to name the progressive communist so called democrats who do. Well we can start with Nancy Pelosi, then Chuck Schumer and I could go on and on but you do get the idea right?

          19. John E Strom Jr. says

Don’t forget the Afrikan – Obama. Or Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, Harry Reid. There are THOUSANDS of angry hard left Democrats that HAVE engaged in violence – look at UC Berkeley where they rioted to keep someone from speaking. Speaking is a protected right, violence is NOT a protected right.

          20. Arizona Don says

I did not forget them I just did not want to write a book which could be done naming them all. But thanks for the reminder. And you are right in everything.

          22. berg1928 says

            That’s for sure!

          23. Ladypyro says

8 years ago, we did not see all this rioting by leftist violent crowds trying to stop a fundamental right of free speech. Even thru the election it was not the right wing that were assaulting people and tearing people out of cars for wearing a BBC cap and assaulting them. It is the left that has become violent and full of hatred. It is the left that has taken words and turned things into violence and anarchy, intolerant of even trying to hear what others have to say. Cite one left demonstration that has not turned violent and there’s you answer as to who ” preaches hatred and revels in it”.

          26. Bill Mullins says

Arizona Don wrote, “What we currently have in the progressive communist so called democrats is not liberals. ”

I could not agree with you more. Today’s “liberals” are anything but. I suspect that you and I are more nearly liberals in the classic sense than any of today’s progressives or whatever you might call them. They ARE, however, leftists. For that reason I prefer to refer to them as “leftists”.

Many (40+) years ago I looked up the meaning of “liberal” and “conservative” in Webster’s. The difference seemed to revolve around each side’s attitude towards change. Liberals- according to the dictionary – were fond of change while conservatives were against it. I personally tend to prefer status quo to constant change. I have no issue with change per se; I simply do not approve of change for its own sake. Change for the sake of change is inherently wasteful because it is always applying”solutions” to non-problems. Today’s so called “liberals” fairly well “worship” change for its own sake. Remember Obozo’s slogan in 08? “HOPE & CHANGE” Obozo promised a “fundamental change” in the republic. Fortunately, he was too inept to be able to make good on that promise. In fact I believe that the reason the Dems have such a poor record on keeping promises is that they basically are incompetent. Remember then newly elected House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, promising to do a huge number of things in the 1st hundred days. Good thing for us they are so incompetent. I suspect that part of why the left so hates and despises President Trump is because he gets things done. Simply by virtue of being who he is and doing what he does, Trump shows how very incompetent professional politicians – of all stripes and colors – actually are.

          27. John E Strom Jr. says

Most of today’s “liberals” are anarchists, not liberals. They just plain hate. This is what happens when we have the left controlling the public school system in American. The NEA needs to be abolished – and leftist teachers as well.

          28. richard king says

We need to break the teacher’s unions. They are corrupt intellectually bereft, and have ruined the education system with their promotion of incompetent leftist teachers. Not all of them, but too many.

          29. John E Strom Jr. says

Amen. This has been going on since the 50’s and it will not cease until the Republicans pass a law requiring ALL teachers be hired by their school district and NO national collective bargaining OR De Vos wins and gets more kids home schooled.

          30. Mathew Molk says

How ‘boy having to pass the same security check that is required for a secrete security clearance? Make it retro active and almost all of them will be gone.

          31. Cookie Vranish says

Home schooling would be the best, except the parents don’t have the financial strength to do it. Most parents are using the school systems to be their babysitters.

          32. John E Strom Jr. says

I agree – and to their detriment.

The education the kids get will last them a lifetime. If it’s a poor education it forever marks how successful they will be in life. This is not by accident. It’s designed to keep kids stupid and provide a large underclass of cheap, under-educated labor. Guess who benefits – the usual suspects.

          33. richard king says

It’s really keeping the kids stupid so they grow up to be democrats, and considering the number of democratsit’s been succeeding.

          34. John E Strom Jr. says

All by design. The Democrats are the Party of wealth redistribution. Our wealth, their confiscation and redistribution. To the poor and minorities which keeps them loyal to the Party. They are also the Party that predominates in government. Government workers keep their jobs by being loyal to their bosses – virtually all Democrats – the jobs are patronage jobs.

          35. richard king says

That would be the swamp. Hard to drain.

          36. berg1928 says

have seen several parents try to home school their child(ren). Very few succeed – mainly because they try to do it for a while, then once in a while, and then rarely. It takes real commitment to home school.

          37. Joseph says

Richard I agree! I was a teacher but I AM an educator! Although now retired on disability I can say that for the time I taught I told school boards and principals that if they wanted someone who was a he’s man and politically correct then don’t hire me!!!! A discussion some years ago with my now deceased father reminds me that all politics are local. That being said let me say this. While school boards are made up of usually very good people they have been over run with former teachers and administrators. While the make up of a district may be conservative the board is usually liberal and show the values of not the parents but of the various colleges that the board members graduated from. Parents have to get involved. They have to hold the boards accountable, they have to place themselves at the forefront of holding a boards feet to the fire. Teachers, principals, and administrators and board members wish for parents to go away! They bar parents from meetings and grounds, talk down to them, use educator speak to keep them off balance, and place them in situations where they feel inferrior. Luckily I am not one that holds with that. I refuse to sit in chairs placed lower than theirs. I prefer to stand. I call them on the way they try to talk down to me. I place THEM on the defensive. The favorite phrase they use is “As an Educator” to place a parent at a disadvantage. My response (an they usually swallow their tongue and stat looking for a way out of the meeting) is “As a parent AND AN EDUCATOR!” The looks of abject terror on their faces is priceless!! Their is no need for teachers unions. Your function is to educate children. There is no reason for educators to be on school boards. The NEA is worthless. What should be a cooperative effect between teachers and parents, as it was when I was in school, is now adversarial. Parents house be their child champion but at the same time they need to realize that bad behavior cannot be allowed to go unpunished. Give schools and teacher the tools and even punishments to correct the behaviors and watch things improve. We’re parents not friends. If you won’t allow your son or daughter to be paddles then you have to be willing to do it. Stop living in a fantasy world and allowing g you child to grow thinking they can do or say whatever they want without consequence.
By the way, I’m also a former Corrections Officer who found that almost every inmate or convicted careless of what they were locked up for said that if someone has cared enough to paddle them when they needed it they wouldn’t have done the things that they did.

          38. Mathew Molk says

Close enough to all of them to want them all gone.

          39. Marialice Barone says

            Single handedly ruined public education!

          40. anAmericanByChoice says

Again, definitions change. Anarchists as per today’s definition, equals lawlessness and chaos. However, true anarchy means only “absence of government,” which implies a populace of responsible, self-governing individuals, that do not need to be told what to do, do not need stupid laws restricting the food they eat, the ponds they dig, the fields they plant, the light bulbs they use, the toilets they install, etc. Also, no place for the likes of the UN, Paris Agreements, and any of that nonsense. It’s also defined as a “utopian society” (of individuals who enjoy complete freedom without government;) Utopian because the powers that be can’t fathom or accept, and fear like the plague!, such a society, where they all are irrelevant, a society without government, politicians and parasites. And parasites it’s what most of them are.

          41. John E Strom Jr. says

What government or country has EVER had responsible citizens without government? A utopian society sounds great but the reality is they only work in small commune type groups – i.e. which was were the term communist came from. Soon someone will set down rules, appoint/elect a leader and it all begins to unwind due to the simple fact most of us are more productive / creative when we work because of self interest.

Unfortunately government is a necessary evil. The hard part is to keep their power in check. They want to grow, grab more power for themselves and we resist. But anarchy is chaos and only the very worst do well when anarchy reins. U C Berkeley is a good example. Or South Central Los Angeles. In a despotic regime, government has the power of life and death over its citizens and the power to tax, which is the power to destroy. Our job is to limit their power by limiting the amount they tax us.

          42. KJHanover says

Also I feel the govt (now mostly Republican even) are to blame. They are afraid to enforce laws. Why? They are already getting reamed for everything they do, say and even think! or DON’T do, say and think! I’d make it worth my while. Right now, there should be dozens of arrests (starting with these govt hotshots) for SEDITION and yes, there should be some for TREASON. Destroying property. Threatening. Anarchy. Judges should be getting kicked off benches for not following the law of the Constitution. Aiding and a betting law-breakers. More SEDITION. I could go on but you get what’s going on in this country. Instead, they do N O T H I N G – afraid of the backlash? I say TOO BAD, they are getting it anyway. Republicans have gotten the upper hand and power now–they will lose it because they won’t man-up. Yet notice they seem to have no problem screwing the decent, law-abiding tax payer. They take the road of least resistance and that is US.

          43. John E Strom Jr. says

The Republicans are like rabbits or sheep – afraid of their own shadow. They are SO worried about getting attacked by the media they flee for cover. VERY few patriots in the Republican Party. Trey Gowdy is an exception. The rest are as worthless as teats on a boar. THEY need to be primaried and FIRED.

          44. KJHanover says

also maybe they are afraid if they fight dems too hard their own sins will start emerging/being exposed by them. We know they are ALL in the greedy pig trough together, even if they don’t agree on anything else. except the dems sure have no problem attacking the repubs. could be whoever does it first is safe and the dems did it first. whatever, hey I LOVE TREY GOWDY TOO. He is the only decent politician i can think of in fact!!!

          45. John E Strom Jr. says

A tidbit from Rush Limbaugh, Mitt Romney organizing a BIG get together of top Republicans with such notables as John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Paul Ryan etc. Honored guest? none other than Joe Biden. I kid you not. Talk about a gutless, treasonous group. ALL NEED TO BE FIRED

          46. richard king says

OMG! Let’s all you traitorous republicans get on board for lobotomy Joe!

          47. Cookie Vranish says

The teacher’s unions are the problem!

          48. John E Strom Jr. says

The are certainly a HUGE part of the problem. Those who home school or send their kids to private schools are winners. The rest are losers thanks to the NEA. It should be banned as hazardous to the well being of our nation’s children and a responsible education.

          49. berg1928 says

Parents who home school are winners only if they stick with it.

          50. John E Strom Jr. says

That’s true and hard on the kids if the parents quit home schooling even though, until that point, they’re usually ahead of those in public school.

          51. berg1928 says

Many are ahead. I can only speak for San Diego County public schools. They have a huge amount of study guides for each grade, textbooks for each grade, field trips to museums, art galleries, the zoo, historical sites, etc. for parents who choose to home school their children. But many parents just aren’t that interested because it takes a lot of effort from the parents.
I worked in public schools for 31 years and I can affirm that many kids come to school hungry because their parents did feed them breakfast, exhausted because the parents let them stay up until midnight or later, come to school tardy several times a month, and a few whose face I washed and hair I combed because their parents didn’t care enough to send their child off to school on time, clean, rested and fed. Before anyone here jumps to the conclusion that these were the children of illegal immigrants, then that is the wrong conclusion.

          52. richard king says

That’s a sad story, and believable. There are bad parents, but there are bad teachers, too. You are an exception to the bad teacher syndrome, methinks.

          53. berg1928 says

I have noticed that most of the time, the children who benefit the most from public school education have parents who have contact with their child’s teachers, get involved in school activities as much as possible, help with homework (not do it for the chid), have high expectations ( appropriate to child’s age and ability), and the other items I wrote about previously. Parent involvement is a MUST in my opinion.

          54. A_Nobody says

They don’t want anarchy, they want absolute control. the ability to say do as I say, not as I do because I’m an elitist know it all and know what’s best for everyone thus I’m more important than you are and need more. Sort of describes our current Congress, doesn’t it?

          55. John E Strom Jr. says

I agree with you regarding absolute control but they DO want anarchy. What happens next, people are willing to give up their freedoms for the illusion of safety and the elitists then dismantle the Bill of Rights. They’re well along now.

The “leadership”, Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, are abysmal. They’re anything BUT leaders. THEY are the enemy every bit as much as the Democrats are.

          56. Arizona Don says

I once knew a so called democrat and she told me it is the promise that keep them coming back not the fulfillment. She may have been referring to something else (if you know what I mean) but her explanation works in this situation as well. With such an attitude they don’t need to keep their promises. However, if you really think about it it seems like a true statement to me.

When obama promised a fundamental transformation no one knew what he meant because he never (even to this day) has explained it. However, that did not keep them from cheering wildly did it? His hope and change was not explained either but he kept them chanting hope and change. He was a pied piper leading the rats out of town. He was successful at that because they are so easily, or is it stupidly, lead. Problem is he really accomplished nothing he promised. But the fact is he didn’t have to. They never demanded it did they?

It really did not matter what he promised they cheered him wildly even when he promised a civilian police force just as well equipped, funded and trained as the US military. Was this the equivalent of hitlers brown shirts? Did he ever get them in place? It appears not. However, my point here is no one even questioned why they were suddenly needed. Could it be because he may have to use force to accomplish some of his promises? It appears their attitude was who cares its obama!

He knew if he did not explain what he was referring to everyone would insert their own definition of what he meant and there was no risk of them not agreeing with it that way. However, if he had tried to explain what he meant some may not have agreed with him. But by not explaining it he lost no one. All the rats followed him willingly and happily no doubt smiling all the way.

          57. Tom Ford says

Well said, Don. Unfortunately, he did achieve considerable decline and destruction, just not to the extent he wanted – he was counting on Hildebeast to complete the job – and her greed and need for self-aggrandizement may have done the trick. It’s now painfully obvious that she still has no clue that she really needed a reason, other than those, to run successfully.

          58. William(Bill) Hooper says

Oh,Tom Ford, calm down and stop being so critical of Mr. Trump ! He’s only been in office a few months, and I’m sure he will finish the Destruction before long !!!

          62. Arizona Don says

Yes he did however, if president Trump has his way he will right those wrongs if not in four years in his second term. Stay the course and encourage all you know to do the same.

          63. richard king says

The two-time Obama voters, whom i will never understand, followed this pied piper right into the sea, and we are still pulling them out. Obama was a would-be dictator , the ignorant lemmings followed him, and might have again, were it not for democracy and the electoral college that kept his ilk, like Clinton, from dragging us all into the abyss.

            You got that right!

His fundamental change was to bankrupt America by turning it into a socialist-communist living hell. He accomplished some of it. Thank God he ran out of time and Trump jumped in. Hopefully Trump will undo at least most of the damage. Another one (the crappy Paris agreement,) down, many more to go! Hopefully he will keep the sledgehammer firmly in his hand and not stop!

          68. Arizona Don says

Sounds feasible. President Trump intends to reverse everything obama did if he can get the cooperation from the legislative branch. That right now is questionable at best. Progressive republicans like McCain are going to work against him all the way. Of course we know no progressive communist so called democrat will cooperate with President Trump there is to much hate there because he beat hillary in the election.

          69. mlmaston says

          70. KJHanover says

I prefer to call them aholes ! You are correct, they want DAMAGING change for the rest of us, just for the sake of change. Like letting men go into girls’ bathrooms. wow. how demented can they get.

          71. gearbox says

So the answer A.D. is to kill the PROGRESSIVES FIRST ! That should work ,
than we can have our country back . There would be far less back stabbers to deal with ! As far as muslims go ! They should actually go !

          72. Arizona Don says

I am not an advocate of killing progressives or anyone who is not a threat of killing others. So far they have not proven they need it.

However, those immigrants who have come here with the intention of not assimilating into American society and becoming good American citizens should self deport. Or be deported physically. Terrorists or terrorist supporters now that is a different story.

            AMEN!

          74. cv says

I’m a liberal and agree that today’s progressives are not liberal.

          75. Arizona Don says

The dictionary definition of liberal is not a bad thing. Most true liberals lean libertarian today which is likely closer to republican then the so called democrats. Most, if not all, libertarians are for small government and for individual responsibilities as well as freedoms. The progressive communist so called democrats are not for any of that. In most cases I myself could be described as libertarian however, I am not a fan of legalizing hard drugs. Some, not all, libertarians are.

          76. cv says

I lean libertarian. I am also not a fan of legalizing hard drugs. People who use recreational drugs in general are not making healthy choices, but I would prefer an effort at education, which has always been haphazard, than make criminals out of them. I would make it offense but you would get off if you attended detox treatments of some kind. I practice yoga and mindfulness meditation, forty plus years, and I get high by breathing in and out. By high, I mean I feel good, mentally clear, and have a sense of the radiant beauty of the present moment. Anyone can do it—takes practice.

          77. anAmericanByChoice says

The logic is hard, but effective: legalize hard drugs. No more black money. Druggies either get off them, or end up killing themselves. End of problem. Natural selection, aka, Darwin’s Awards (I think some call it.)

          78. richardwfaith says

Absolutely! mosleMs, not even suspecting it, are useful idiots on TWO LEVELS: they blindly follow their dictator-leaders, who in turn are being played like a fiddle by the Globalist CABAL, which is USING them to topple representative republics, capitalism and individual liberty. While I insist that islaM is NOT a religion, what it IS is a BORDERLESS STATE. Of THIS, all should notice. Does ANYONE SEE how “well” being a borderless state is working out for islaM? Since their beginnings, mosleMs have been killing each other off like there’s no tomorrow. That’s just a PREVIEW of what life will be like in a borderless WORLD such as soro$$$$$$ is promoting.

          79. Sol_of_Texas says

The Founding Fathers were liberals. There are few liberals left today – they are identified as centrist libertarians and the republican liberty caucus. The “free press” calls Democrats liberals. Unfortunately, like cancer, they are a “progressive” disease. It’s what happens when words purposefully don’t mean anything.

          80. Arizona Don says

They were certainly intelligent that is the extent of my political knowledge of the founders. However, looking at what they did and the dictionary definition of liberal it could be true.

          84. Big Iron says

The problem is that the Political parties are both controlled by the PTB/Globalists who preferred Hillary to Donald …and thought it was a done deal. After all, they fixed Kennedy’s election but he double-crossed them and worked for the people (sorry Hillary); …And then there was Reagan. He wasn’t supposed to become President but he did and he wanted to do the job right for the people but two assassination attempts later he played ball with them. So far Donald appears to be doing what he claimed he wanted to do so HE is going to have to be careful what he does and when he does it. The PTB has declared him a target. They also control the media and much of Congress. The PTB is unhappy that their plans have been thwarted and they have long memories.

          85. Sol_of_Texas says

Likely true. Caesar, beware the Ides of March!

Be mindful, the PTB, as you have described, have their own factions – I think that is the good news.

          86. Arizona Don says

Very true except I’m not certain Reagan ever really totally played ball with them. Most of the last several republican presidents have had attempts on their lives. With all the hatred coming from the left now I’m certain President Trump will as well In any case the progressive communists so called democrats will have to pay a price if such a thing happens. It is obvious right now this is an organized concerted effort by the left wing nut jobs. So there will have to be a price paid by them.

Currently they are committing political suicide with these demonstrations/riots. It is obvious they for some unknown reason think they can scare or otherwise force conservative Americans to like them and just surrender to them. Now that takes a real imbecile. That is far beyond stupid. What they are actually doing is reinforcing our and President Trump’s resolve. When the going gets tough the tough get going.

          87. mlmaston says

True, and if what they are planning does come to fruition, we’ll know who was responsible, maybe even take action ourselves, if need be.

          88. mlmaston says

Very true. So…. what do we call individuals (I decline to use the word ‘people or persons’) of this particular ilk?

          89. Arizona Don says

That is a good question I’ll have to think about that. Right off the top of my head I know a couple words however, on some sites they would ban them.

          90. mlmaston says

I know the very same words…. Lol.

          91. Arizona Don says

          92. anAmericanByChoice says

Definitions evolve (and evolving sometimes does not mean progress or development into something better, just change,) and in this case, that is true. Change was for the worse. No true liberals among the socialist and communist crowd. How could that be possible, they can’t stand anyone telling them anything that goes against their ideas (can’t call it ideology as that requires some semblance of rationality.) Send them all to live in China, or any Muslim country, and taste what totalitarianism is all about and they will either be happy there or come back changed and reformed! Or end up in some sort of gulag or decapitated. Probably they would chose decapitation: reality is too hard to face for them.

Then there are the pollution sites surrounding where the U.S. tested and manufactured atomic bombs. By the way Bikini Atoll is still unsafe for humans. Those who moved back experience high rates of cancer, birth defects, genetic abnormalities and miscarriages.

The Love Canal land fill operated from 1942 through 1953. It was purchased by the City of Niagara Falls in 1920.

Hooker Chemical and Plastics Corporation acquired the use of the site for private use in 1947 and buried 21,000 tons of toxic waste there over the next five years. Hooker Chemical operated under a Republican government from 1951 through 1962. A Democratic government was only in office from 1948 to 1951.
The Mayor of Niagara Falls, in which Love Canal is located, was Repubican from 1951 through 1963. The Love Canal disaster took place in 1953.

I put my wife first, before me. She struggles to breathe when polluted air levels rise in summer heat. Jerks who promote fouling the air are helping to kill her. But yay, you have poked a stick in the eye of the liberals by condemning all Americans to breathing dirty air. You must be proud.

        1. Bill Mullins says

Mr Tremont, no one wishes to breathe polluted air. We simply do not see big government as the solution.

          1. matt tremont says

I don’t see any corporation rushing to clean up their emissions. In fact coal fired utility plant owners actively resist spending a dime for cleaner emissions. Car makers resisted tail pipe emission standards. Paper mills in Maine were happy to dump digoxin and wood waste into streams and then towns down stream had to pay to clean the water so it was drinkable.

          2. pineapple says

Coal powered power plants in the U.S were required to install static precipitaters to reduce particulate emissions. Other countries (China, et.al.) did not do so.

I grew up in the L.A. area and had a lot of trouble with asthma, yet even I am able to clearly see that joining forces with the useful idiots who (for now) see nothing wrong with the stealthy advances toward one-world government does more harm than good to my life overall. Let me make a kind suggestion to you: if you love your wife, get her out of the city (most particularly if it’s L.A. or anything similar).

          1. matt tremont says

We are not in LA. Cities are worse, but even Maine gets bad air blowing in from Ohio, and the increasing traffic.

          2. Richard Faith says

Thanks for the reply. Here’s some food for thought: if the globalist organizations that are attempting to force-feed us these “accords” or “treaties” were REALLY concerned about our carbon emissions, AS OPPOSED TO what they can rip us off for in the name thereof, why are they not pressuring us to do something that would probably reduce our emissions by about ten percent OVERNIGHT, WITHOUT having to pay THEM ANYTHING: retrofit our traffic-control grid with sensors and upgraded software so we would NEVER get a red light when there is no cross traffic. We would get where we’re going quicker and with less frustration, we would use less fuel, and the emissions saved would be exactly in proportion to the fuel saved. It is beyond impossible for me to believe those big organizations don’t KNOW this, and their utter and complete silence on this topic is a red flag indicative of their hypocrisy. Reduced emissions (of hydrocarbons, oxides of nitrogen, and carbon MONoxide) would be a health benefit to everyone. Meanwhile, the carbon DIoxide is HARMLESS.

        3. lha says

Grow up!!! The Paris “accord” would do nothing[as it is non-binding],and exempts the largest, most polluting Countries on Earth,India and China. 4. Karen says

Get real dude! Pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement doesn’t mean we will not continue to follow pollution control in the US! It just means we are no longer going to PAY out of the wazoo to be held accountable while the other MAJOR polluting countries(China and India) claim they have not even reached their peak of polluting! It is about the same as giving these students free college and when they complete their education, they get on welfare, food stamps and medicaid cause they had no intention of going to work!! WAKE UP AMERICA!!

          1. David in MA says

The Paris Climate Agreement is more than the US paying for it, it is also the US losing soverginity and control over our own borders and private property, just another way for the communist in the un to rule over free countries. IE: Agenda 21.

GLOBAL WARMING FRAUD WILL COST US DEARLY
Brian Sussman is a conservative radio
talk show host in ultraliberal San Francisco, and a former award
winning television meteorologist and science reporter.
            Global
warming is caused by variations in the amount of radiant energy emitted
by the sun, and happens about every 1500 years. (See “Unstoppable global
Warming Every 1500 Years” by Fred singer and Dennis Avery.)
Al Gore is profiteering from the global warming hoax.
            While
campaigning for President, Senator O’Bama said that under his plan for
cap-and-trade, electricity rates would “necessarily sky rocket.”
He also said that coal companies would become bankrupt.
            Congress
refused to approve a cap-and-trade bill, so President O’Bama by-passed
Congress directed the EPA to declare carbon dioxide as a “pollutant.”
The EPA is forcing coal fired power plants to shut down.
Electricity will be rationed and the cost to consumers will be in the billions.
            Houses
will be required to have remotely controlled thermostats which will be
controlled by power companies in order to ration energy consumption.
If you read Climategate, you will learn the following:
            GORE THE CHARLATAN

Al Gore is a charlatan who has made millions on the global warming
scare, and is poised to enrich himself further by trading carbon credits
on the Chicago Carbon Exchange, along with President Obama.
            Also,
Gore leaves a carbon footprint the size of a medium sized town, with
his multiple mansions, SUVs, and his private jet which spews carbon
dioxide as he flits around the globe attending global warming
            conferences.
His movie “An Inconvenient Truth ”contains convenient lies.

For example, his graph showing a rise in atmospheric carbon dioxide
levels corresponding to a rise in atmospheric temperature conveniently
leaves out the fact that atmospheric temperatures rose several hundred
years BEFORE atmospheric carbon dioxide levels rose.
            This is
because, as atmospheric temperatures rose, (due to increased radiant
energy from the sun), ocean temperatures eventually rose, and the
solubility of carbon dioxide in the oceans decreased, causing carbon
dioxide to evolve from the oceans. Also, as atmospheric temperatures
decreased,(due to decreased radiant energy from the sun), ocean
temperatures eventually decreased, causing carbon dioxide to be
            reabsorbed by the oceans.
The transfer of heat from the atmosphere to
the oceans takes several hundred years due to the massive amount of
            water in the oceans.
            SETTLED SCIENCE?
Al Gore said the science is “settled”, and that global warming is man-made.
            The
1992 Heidelberg Appeal was signed by 4,000 scientists, including
seventy-two Nobel Prize winners—all skeptics of man-caused global
warming. There is no consensus that global warming is man-made.
            Pseudo
scientists who hype man-made global warming derive their incomes from
government grants, thus they have an incentive to fan the flame of
man-made global warming in order to continue to receive these
            government grants.
Leading the charge in the fight against the climate liars is Oklahoma Senator James Inhofe.
            Included
in Senator Inhofe’s roster is one of the dozen people who walked on the
moon: Dr. Harrison Schmidt (Apollo 17, 1992). Schmidt, a Ph. D.
geologist, shocked many by resigning from the highbrow Planetary Society
that was founded by Carl Sagan. The society’s stated mission is “to
inspire the people of the earth to explore other worlds, understand our
own, and seek life elsewhere.” Predictably, this organization dove
headfirst into the global warming tank.
            Unable to subject himself
to such folly, Schmidt, who in the 1970’s also served as a U.S. Senator,
            presented a resignation statement.
“As a geologist, I have Earth
observations. But, it is ridiculous to tie this objective to a
“consensus” that humans are causing global warming when human
experience, geologic data, and history, and current cooling can argue
            otherwise.”
The senator’s all star list includes a winner of the
Nobel Prize for Physics, Dr. Ivar Giaever, who stated: “I am a
skeptic….Global warming has become a new religion.”
            And the
compilation of brain power reflects the thoughts of a former member of
Greenpeace, Jarl R. Ahlbeck, a chemical engineer at Abo Akademi
University in Finland and author of more than 200 scientific
publications: “So far, real measurements give no ground for concern
            about a catastrophic future warming.”
            Government scientist Stanlry
            B. Goldberg of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s
(NOAA) Hurricane Research Division, said : “It is a blatant lie put
forth in the media that makes it seem there is only a fringe of
scientists who don’t buy into anthropogenic (manmade) global warming.”
            Another
prominent scientist to sign on to Inhofe’s report is Joanne Simpson,
the first woman to receive a Ph. D. in meteorology. The preeminent Dr.
Simpson, formerly of NASA, has authored more than 190 scientific
studies. She, too, has had enough. :Since I am no longer affiliated with
any organization nor receiving any funding, I can speak quite
frankly….As a scientist I remain skeptical….The main basis of the claim
that man’s release of greenhouse gases is the cause of the warming is
based almost entirely upon climate models. We all know the frailty of
            models concerning the air-surface system.”
            GREENHOUSE GASES

It’s astounding to note that, of the gases on our atmosphere, the amount
of carbon dioxide is almost imperceptible. By percentage, the gases are
            ordered as follows:
            Nitrogen 78.1%
            Oxygen 20.9%
            Water vapor 0.40%
            Argon 0.90%
            Carbon dioxide 0.038%
            Neon 0.002%
            Helium 0.005%
            Methane 0.002%
            Krypton 0.001%
            Hydrogen 0.0005%
            Nitrous oxide 0.0003%
            Ozone 0.000004%
            Carbon monoxide trace
            Carbon
dioxide only accounts for a scant 38 thousandths of a percent of our
planet’s atmosphere. It is known as a variable gas because, like water
vapor, is has historically fluctuated. And what percentage of the
miniscule amount of CO2 is produced by the activities of man, including
the utilization of fossil fuels? According to a thorough analysis by the
Carbon dioxide Information Analysis Center, a research wing of the U.S.
Department of Energy, it is only 3.207 percent.(Stated another way,
man-made carbon dioxide constitutes only .00126 % of the earth’s
atmosphere.) All of this hoopla over an atmospheric component so minute,
            it is difficult to comprehend.
            Allow me to repeat this critical fact;
Carbon dioxide comprises 38/1000ths of the earth’s atmosphere, and of that amount, a mere 3 percent is
            generated by mankind.
Furthermore, nitrous oxide is 310 times more capable of retaining the sun’s heat than carbon dioxide.
            However,
nitrous oxide is not vilified by global warming alarmists as is carbon
dioxide. The reason for this is that nitrous oxide can not be attributed
to fossil fuels and is also more difficult to measure and tax like
            carbon dioxide.
            GLOBAL COOLING
            According to the U.S.
Historical Climatology Network archives, the temperature has warmed only
            0.5 degrees F since the mid-1980s.
            Tossing out corrupted USHCN
data, there has actually been a net-cooling since 1930—during the same
period in which atmospheric CO2 has noticeably increased.
            Since
2007, global temperatures are engaged in a significant downward spiral,
with government data illustrating a bit more than a one degree F (0.65
degrees C) drop in temperature between 2007 and 2008 alone.
            MEDIEVEL WARMING PERIOD
            A
warming period occurred during the middle ages, during which ice melted
in Greenland to such an extent that Norse settlers were able to
establish farms in Greenland. This Medieval warming period was followed
by a mini-ice age, during which rivers in Europe froze over. These
events occurred before the advent of fossil fuels, and thus can not be
blamed on the use of fossil fuels.
            Global warming alarmists
published the infamous “hockey stick” graph which purportedly “proved”
man-made global warming, beginning with the use of fossil fuels. This
graph was manipulated to exclude the medieval warming period and the
            subsequent mini ice- age.
            FOLLOW THE MONEY
Sussman was provided information from a friend “Dave” who wanted to remain anonymous.
            As
I sifted through the details Dave provided, my convictions were
confirmed; many of those fiercely peddling anthropogenic (manmade)
global warming are consumed by the love of money and stand to profit
greatly from the perpetuation of this fraud.
            I believe such motives
are currently driving General Electric (GE). GE is a major manufacturer
of SmartMeters, the leading global manufacturer of wind turbines, and
one of the nation’s premier appliance manufacturers.
            They also have
an influential hand in solar panel production and are the primary
producer of those obnoxious, toxic, curlicue compact fluorescent bulbs.
The global warming scam continues, and will continue, to be the best
thing that’s happened to GE since its founder, Thomas Edison, invented
the incandescent light bulb that revolutionized the entire world; an
incredible irony, given his invention has since been vilified and,
thanks to the federal 2007 Energy Independence Act, is set to be
            outlawed by 2020.
Cries of climate change are bailing out GE’s otherwise
            Lackluster
business enterprise and their lobbying efforts clearly demonstrate
their dependence on this environmental hoax for survival. In the fourth
quarter of 2008, as the company’s stock fell 30%, GE spent $4.26 million
lobbying Congress to get their share of the then-forthcoming stimulus
aid and global warming legislation anticipated to be signed into law
under incoming President O’Bama—that equals $46,304 of daily lobbying ,
including weekends and holidays. All told, GE’s 2008 lobbying bill
            amounted
to $18.66 million. And, NBC, GE’s television network, has devoted
millions of dollars of free air-time to further the global warming
            deception.
Without the boost they’re getting from the global
warming scare, GE would likely go the way of Westinghouse—into the tomb
of once-great American companies that crashed and burned because of
poor management. But give GE politically- correct credit their CEO, Jeff
Immelt, played his crony cards perfectly. He was a big supporter of
O’Bama and, consequently, was awarded with a seat on the president’s
White House Economic Recovery Advisory board.
            MY SILICON VALLEY MOLE
            In
chapter 5, I briefly introduced you to a man (Dave) with whom I was
acquainted through a charity to which we both contributed.
Germane to the premise of this book, Dave fully grasps what is about to happen to his country, my country, our country.
            “The
coming energy shortage is about controlling our lives, and a host of
complicit players, who believe such control is necessary and
appropriate, are working with government to assure this.” , he told me
over coffee in Cupertino, just a few blocks from Apple’s headquarters in
the heart of Silicon Valley. “These players are big fish from the
financial world and from here in the Valley: Goldman Sachs, Kleiner
            Perkins, Google, GE, Microsoft, IBM.”
“What are their motives?” I asked.
            “It’s
two-fold. For some, it’s a pure profit play. They’re privy to the
analyses that don’t make it into the Wall Street Journal. The global
economy is teetering on the brink of collapse, nearly every country on
the planet is over leveraged, and these money guys are looking at
perhaps the last big opportunity of their lifetime.”
“Like a ‘green bubble’, instead of the Internet bubble of the ‘90s,” I interjected.
            “Exactly.
Private entrepreneurs with little a slick Power Point presentation, a
star-studded board of director, and an unproven idea for saving the
environment will be funded by the venture guys. The valuations of the
newly-funded companies will increase, eventually they’ll get purchased
by a bigger company, and the venture guys will get paid back handsomely.
A few years down the line, the bigger company will discover the
business they bought is worthless, or they’ll just fold and go
under—like 80 percent of the Internet companies did. It’s a bubble where
jobs in Sand Hill Road [ where many of the Silicon Valley’s venture
            firms are located] will score.
            “But the government’s plans for
things like the SmartGrid, keeping us from drilling for our own oil and
natural gas, stopping nuclear energy, cap-and-trade—how can these money
guys be so willing to let America go-to-hell?”
I’ve heard you talk about Marx’s Laws of Matter on the radio—these people are elitists. They believe Marx had some good ideas.”
“What about global warming, are they believers?”
“They are just like Al Gore—they believe in money.”
Our conversation concluded with Dave reaching into his satchel and retrieving a stack of documents tow inches thick.
            “I’ve
heard your theories on the SmartGrid. They are spot on. The government
will be able to control every electrified component of your house.
“Now’, he said, handing me the stack, “here’s some paperwork on the
money trail associated with the grid, plus who’s going to become rich
from cap-and-trade. There’s a lot here about my ‘pal’ Al too. I’m not
giving you anything that’s classified; it’s all pretty much open source.
This’ll just save you a couple years worth of research,” he exclaimed
            with a hearty laugh.
            IT STARTS WITH YOUR THERMOSTAT
            During
the first week of January in 2008, a caller to my radio program alerted
me to proposed revisions in the gargantuan, 230-page California Building
Code. The changes, he said, were being stealthily concocted by the
California Energy Commission, and mandated that remotely controlled home
thermostats be installed in all new or remodeled homes or in existing
homes in which the furnace or air conditioner was being replaced.
            Conducting
an immediate investigation, I learned the caller was correct. The plan
involved a new technology known as the Programmable Communication
Thermostat, or PCT. Embedded within the PCT is an FM radio receiver,
which would allow energy authorities to control home temperatures.
            SMARTGRIDDERS: GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, AND IBM
            Within
Dave’s stack of stuff were documents revealing the significant stakes
technology giants Google, Microsoft, and IBM have in developing
components critical to the completion of the national SmartGrid. My own
personal research indicated that personnel at these three companies were
also financially in bed with Obama, and, in some cases, advisors to his
            campaign and presidency.
According to the Center for Responsive
Politics, Google employees and family members contributed more than
$790,000 to Obama’s campaign, Microsoft’s people gave more than
$806,000, and those working for IBM contributed more than $518,000. In
contrast, Republican presidential nominee John McCain received about
            $20,000 from Google employees, $63,000 from Microsoft’s, and $52,000from
            IBM’s.
Because of his business interests, Dave has spent
considerable time on the Google campus. According to his description of
the search engine’s corporate culture, their belief in anthropogenic
(manmade) global warming is almost cult-like–and for obvious reasons.
For starters, Al Gore is on their advisory board. Dan Reicher, Google’s
Director of Climate Change (they actually have such a division)
reportedly assisted with the Cleantech for Obama committee, which raised
about $2 million in campaign contributions. Reicher was also a member
of the Obama transition team and is thought to have been on the
shortlist for the energy secretary position. Google’s CEO, Eric Schmidt,
who also vigorously campaigned for Obama, has attended White House
economic summits and reportedly was considered for the administration’s
            technology czar.
O’BAMA AND THE CHICAGO CLIMATE EXCHANGE
            “The
CCX (Chicago Climate Exchange) is an institution created with the sole
purpose of being ready for the day when carbon trading in the United
States will be the law of the land, complete with federal rules and
regulations, much like the way carbon trading is conducted in Europe on
the European Exchange.” , Dave told me. “Betting on CCX to become the
designated carbon trading depot is as easy as picking the sun to rise in
the east tomorrow morning, especially since Obama and Gore have ties to
            the company.
It’s true, Research reveals Obama and Gore ARE in
on this. While living in Chicago, Obama served as a board member of the
radical, nonprofit Joyce Foundation from 1994 to 2001. Joyce is perhaps
the foremost advocate of trying to suck the individual right to bear
arms from the Second Amendment. According to Ed Barnes of Fox News, in
2000 and 2001 “the Joyce Foundation gave nearly $1.1 million in two
separate grants that were instrumental in developing and launching the
            privately owned Chicago Climate Exchange.”
            When the foundation
made its first grant to the Climate Exchange, Joyce’s president was
Paula DiPerna. DiPerna left the organization in 2001 to become a
founding executive vice president of CCX. In 2009, Barnes interviewed
DiPerma and asked about Obama’s role in the 2000 and 2001 grants. She
replied that, as a director, Obama “read the proposal and voted on the
            grant.”
And some of America’s biggest moneymakers are lining up to
get in on this new Chicago-based cash cow by skimming a cut right off
            the top.
“Every time a carbon credit is sold or purchased, “Dave
explained to me, “somebody will get a slice of the transaction—a fee.
And, just like the way they trade in the commodities market, these smart
investors will buy bulk-loads of credits on the cheap, and then
position themselves to sell the credits to needy businesses for great
profit. Carbon dioxide will be the new currency.”
            While perfectly
legal because the law will allow it, as it always does when immorality
is legislated, these greedy, conscienceless investors will rape and
plunder our once-great nation with hearty political approval. And, of
course, at the front of the line is Al Gore, in perfect position to cash
in on his decades-worth of global warming hysteria. Dave agrees with
reports that indicate the Chicago Climate Exchange is heavily influenced
            by Gore.
            CAPPED AND PLAYED
The rush to build and implement the
SmartGrid is timed to coincide with the coming planned mass energy
shortage known as cap-and-trade. Cap-and-trade will eventually eliminate
America’s energy suppliers, dismantle our manufacturing base, increase
every citizen’s day-to-day living expenses, and be used as the honey pot
for a host of welfare projects. It will enable the elitists to
accomplish their goal to “de-develop” the United States.
            Every oil
refinery, natural gas producer, electric utility company—any entity
involved in the production of energy—will be limited by the EPA as to
their allowable amount of CO2 emissions. That’s the “cap”, and the cap
will decrease each year. Likewise, other major carbon emitting
industries, such as steel, cement, glass, paper, lumber, mining,
welding, airlines, trucking, and manufacturing, will also be hit wit a
cap based on an annual estimate of the tons of carbon dioxide each
business releases into the atmosphere. Businesses will be assigned
carbon “permits” corresponding to the EPA-determined standards. One can
only imagine the tremendous opportunity for graft, corruption, and
favoritism carbon permits will allow and encourage.
            If it is
determined that any company in these carbon-emitting industries has
exceeded their annual carbon permit quota, they may purchase “emission
credits” from the government-approved exchange to offset their CO2
            emissions — that’s the “trade”.
            GULF POWER CO.
            Representatives
of the Gulf Power Co. say that the EPA’s new global warming mercury
emissions rules could result in the shuttering of three of its current
coal-fired power plants and bring higher energy prices to consumers.
According to Gulf Power official Jeff Rogers:
            “We
won’t know what the impact will be until the new rules come out and we
can actually evaluate them. But our feeling is that coal-fired plants
            would be at risk.”
The new rules could cost Gulf Power up to $2.5
billion and other divisions of the company as much as $18 billion to
comply. The 400,000 customers of Gulf Power would see their electricity
            rates go up.
Gulf Power recently spent $500 million to build a
scrubber plant in Pensacola that removes 80% of oxidized mercury. The
new EPA standard could be 90%. The new scrubber plant wasn’t built to
            remove 90%
If the EPA is so concerned about mercury emissions, why
not ban mercury filled CFL bulbs? These bulbs will end up in landfills
where the mercury will leach into rivers, underground aquifers, and
            eventually into the food chain.
It appears that the EPA is more concerned about pushing cap and trade restrictions than protecting the environment.
            In
Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Maryland six coal-fueled power plants are being
shut down by first Energy because the retrofitting the power plants
will have to undergo to satisfy the EPA’s draconian rules is just too
            expensive to justify.
These shutdowns will cause the loss of over 500 jobs initially.
            Douglas
Gotham, director of the State Utility Forecasting Group, for instance,
says that rate hikes are on the way in Indiana, as well, and all because
of Obama’s onerous new EPA regulations.
            This is exactly what
Obama wants. In 2007, he sat down with the San Francisco Chronicle and
said that he wanted to bankrupt the coal industry and that our rates
            would “necessarily skyrocket”?
This does not bode well for hybrid cars which rely on electricity, especially since 45% of U.S. power plants use coal.
Last September, EPA’s Cross-State Air Pollution rule cost 500 jobs in Texas.
            In
his testimony, EPA Assistant Administrator Mathy Stanislaus admitted
last April that jobs are not part of their determinations.
The EPA has declared carbon dioxide as a “pollutant”.
            If
carbon dioxide is a “pollutant”, then each time we exhale, we are
“polluting“ the environment. If the “pollutant”, carbon dioxide, is
removed from the atmosphere, then photosynthesis will cease and plants
will die. Without plants to produce oxygen, animals (including humans)
            will also die.
Ironically, global warming will still continue
every 1500 years due to cyclic variations in the radiation emitted from
the sun. (See “Unstoppable Global Warming Every 1500 Years” by Fred
            singer and Dennis Avery.)
President O’Bama and global warming zealots are destroying the U.S. economy under the false guise of reducing global warming.
            THE UTILITY MACT RULE
            The
following are excerpts from “Alabama Currents” magazine. The author is
Fred D. Clarke Jr., president of Alabama Municipal Electric Authority.
            “So
here we go again. On Dec. 21, 2011, EPA released its final rule
requiring maximum achievable control technology for mercury and other
hazardous air pollutants from power plants. The rule, called the
Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (known in the electricity industry as
the “utility MACT rule”) will impose additional significant costs to
            consumers.
Here are some main points of concern:
It is one of the most expensive rules that EPA ever proposed.
I would take one of our nation’s most abundant energy resources—coal—off the table as a source of energy for new power plants.
EPA is moving too fast, and its rush included numerous data and technological errors.
EPA underestimates the costs of the rule. Significant emissions reductions are already being achieved uder current regulations.
            The
utility MACT rule “is expected to be the most expensive rule the agency
has ever imposed on our nation’s power sector.” the Energy Commerce
Committee said on its website. EPA’s estimates “do not provide the
total ‘sticker price’ of the rule, but only a share of those costs
assigned to three select years: $9.4 billion in 2015, $8.6 billion in
2030, and $7.4 billion in 2030. EPA documentation states that annualized
estimates assume utilities would take 30 to 40 years to pay off
            compliance costs.
Customers and communities in the Southeast have
been struggling with the economic recession and unacceptably high
unemployment rates. This unprecedented, and ill-timed transformation of
the nation’s electricity infrastructure will only impede the U.S.
economic recovery, reduce our ability to create jobs and add to the
            economic burdens of our customers.”

Good compilation of info! The observation of Dr. Simpson is absolutely correct, and the mathematical underpinnings of that are the fact that the climate system is nonlinear and chaotic, meaning lots of branching solutions and sensitive to initial conditions—parameter adjustments chosen by the scientist. On the mitigation end, entropy means whatever we do will likely be insufficient, anyway, if the idea is to reverse the warming trend. Dumb luck is the best option.

Tell her to quit smoking. The pollution in the air will not rise and rivers will not become polluted. If your local river is polluted, how will sending a $100 billion to all the poor countries clean your local river? You are a salesman’s dream.

This woman does not know Trump is Anchor-Baby. His parents were illegals when they came here. I know we should be careful with some groups in this Country too: KKKs, TEA Partiers and Born-Again Christians. I have no idea why these young men want to kill us here. I remember one of their goals is to get 12 virgins in Heaven-the goal of 911 morons. There is no God to give you 12 virgins in heaven when you have killed 3000 innocent people here on earth. There is some worm in their brains why they want to kill us here. They must be failures in school, home and in this world. We have to stop them before they harm us or other people. Solution: Let’s study why such tragedies do not happen in other countries; and then adopt them here. For example Tanzania has as many Muslims and Christians and they get along fine. Rarely do we hear Muslims and Christians fight or kill one another or other people. Tanzania may have a secret we can adopt here. I hope Repubs and TPs will listen to me.

        1. richard king says

You must not have been to Tanzania. two days before I was in a Rover in the Serengeti, a van full of tourists was ambushed by poachers, and a woman from Denver was murdered for not giving up her camera. In Nairobi (Kenya) we were told not to leave the hotel because of meauading gangs in the streets targeting whites. It might not have been religious, but one can get just as dead.
As for Trump, his ancestors were here legally for as far back as one can see, as were mine.
Let’s study? No, just stop them from coming here.

          1. pmbalele says

What if she had given her camera to those moron, would they kill her. No. I am talking about morons like the 911, Manchester, Sandy hook etc. who kill people for their own belief whatever it is; including 12 virgins in heaven!

They will lie, cheat, steal, take bribes, allow our enemies to get stronger as we get weaker BY THEIR HAND, and they will destroy people or have those they consider threats to their warped version of the ‘greater good’ put ‘away’, one way or another (Vince Foster, Ron Brown and many others)! They consider God and our Constitution as obstacles to their twisted agenda as both the Diety and the Document both hold them to account for their actions. Republicans are not perfect but with our assistance we can move them to where they are serving U.S. and a greater future, one with Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness as the main points of focus! Now, if we can only get the numbers required to push back all the Illegal and terrorist voters which they are trying to add to their ill-gotten voter contingent.

The democratic platform has done way to much dammage to our country and those within to ever trust that platform again. The icing on the cake was their selection of a devout Muslim ( OBummer) to serve as our POTUS ( Who swore to be a Christian- nonsense). And now they want to put the most corrupt and lieing candidate
To ever run – Hildabeast in charge. Their is no end to their corruption and destruction to our values/constitution/Allies. They promote: gay rights, abortion ( responsible for 100 million deaths of fetuses), athiesm ( taking God out of America),illegal immigration, Muslim immigration (people who will try to destroy our way of life- sharia law), socialism ( sponsor is Sorros), communism, ignoring our constitution ( all swore to support it before taking public office), world order/takeover, corruption, and cheating at the polls to get their ways— they are the “SAiTAN” within America and have lost their way. No wonder a record amount of democrats are abandoning this platform by the thousands after showing its ugly head.

BE SURE TO READ THE LAST PARAGRAPH.

The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water
too hot, according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consulafft, at Bergen, Norway.
Reports from fishermen, seal hunters, and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto
unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone. Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as
far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes.

Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm. Great masses of ice have been replaced
by mountains of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely
          disappeared.

Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have
never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds. Within a few years it is
predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coastal cities uninhabitable.

          * * * * * * * * *

P.. S. – I apologize, ….. I neglected to mention that this report was from November 2, 1922, as reported by the AP and
published in The Washington Post; almost 92 years ago.

          1. susmart3 says

Mankind has predicted it’s downfall since the dawn of time. Fire, bows and arrows, handguns, decline of __________________. However, we *do have* more reliable and verified tracking data, and have had so, since the invention of computers.

The differene is we can now prove our destructions. Deforestation and pollution, visible via satellite. And “safe” nuclear power shown to have substantial problems (Fukushima and Chernobyl) without having that nuclear war that so many people are itchin’ to have. (We aren’t trying to keep jukes out of other peoples hands just because we don’t want them to have nice things, they can end civilization.

Climate change may not won’t finish us off quickly, but it’s results will be just as deadly.

        3. chuck says

I remember hearing that in school when I was 8 years old. Back then it was all about the hole in the ozone layer that led to the elimination of aerosol cans. That was 1959, and by now New York city was supposed to be under water.

So does anybody know who “they” is??? Puleeeeeese. Paid political hacks employed to say anything.

      2. Pam Dunn says

Well NO; When you consider that MOST of the ice is Already floating ON the water; Try putting ice cubes in a glass and filling it to the brim with water; I can guarantee you that when the ice melts, the glass wont over flow.

        1. Ron Waizman says

          Yep you know Archimedes !

        2. Ed Anderson says

You’re right, Pam. A pound of ice occupies a larger volume than a pound of sea water by a ratio of about 1.12 to 1. So, if all the ice currently floating in the oceans (including the Arctic ice and the submerged ice in the Antarctic) were to melt, the sea levels would actually decrease. But, also considering the volume of water that would be added to the oceans if all the ice on Earth (including Antarctica) that is currently above sea level were to melt, it would tend to offset the sea level decrease resulting from the melting of the submerged ice. Assuming that my numbers, calculations and reasoning are correct, if all the ice on Earth were to melt, it seems to me that the net result on sea levels of these offsetting effects would be negligible.

          1. Herb1949 says

Personally, I think the flooding of LA, SF, NYC and many other havens of socialist libs would be a good thing.

I wish that global warming is happening.

          2. Ed Anderson says

Naaah! The Rats would just scurry to someplace else. Probably best that they stay where they are.

          3. Arizona Don says

You got that right. We’ve got enough of them here now don’t want any more.

          4. susmart3 says

“Assuming that my numbers, calculations and reasoning are correct, if all the ice on Earth were to melt, it seems to me that the net result on sea levels of these offsetting effects would be negligible.”

Sorry, but I will tend to believe science results from climate scientists.

          5. Ed Anderson says

That’s certainly your prerogative. But please note that I used simple, basic physics and straightforward calculations that are very hard to dispute. Also note that I’m a retired engineer/physics teacher who doesn’t have to worry about being politically correct in order to preserve my job or my research grant. In other words, I have nothing to gain by distorting the truth. So, until you, or some climate scientist, has scientific evidence to refute my results, I’ll stand by my conclusion.

            Maybe this will help:

            Allow me to repeat this critical fact;
EPA documentation states that annualized
estimates assume utilities would take 30 to 40 years to pay off
compliance costs.Customers and communities in the Southeast have
been struggling with the economic recession and unacceptably high
unemployment rates. This unprecedented, and ill-timed transformation of
the nation’s electricity infrastructure will only impede the U.S.
            economic recov

        3. Karen says

Do you remember the first book in the bible called Genesis? If not then let me educate you. In chapter six , the world had a population explosion. The spirit world(evil) were having relations with earthly women and creating giants. God saw the evil and wickedness mankind had turned into. It hurt him sorely. He gave them 120 days to mind their ways. They continued in their wickedness and God was sorry he had made them. He wanted to blot out all of mankind and animals from the earth. He then he remembered Noah, the only truly righteous man living on earth. He told Noah to build a boat (it had not rained on earth yet at this point and all the people thought Noah had become crazy) God told Noah to make the boat big enough to hold a pair of each animal on earth as well as his family. God made it rain for 40 days and 40 nights, flooding the earth and killing all of the wicked people. 150 days later, the floods receding, Noah’s boat landed on Mount Ararat. It took a little over a year for the water to completely recede. You want to know where the water went? Well, God took the earth and pulled it on its axis, causing the water to pool on each end of the earth. Being so far from the sun, the water Froze. This is known as the North and South Poles! So according to this, if the north and South Pole would melt, it would cause the earth to again be covered with water! To be honest, as corrupt and evil as the world is today, I wouldn’t be surprised if this didn’t happen again, but you know what? We have God’s word and it doesn’t tell us that this happens again! Read the word and you will KNOW how the “story”(as many call it)ends! God Bless!

      3. Ron Waizman says

Archimedes law says it stays the same if it’s sea ice.

      4. Garys_opinion says

Actually not. Ice displaces it’s volume in water, so when it melts the water level doesn’t rise. Take a glass of water , add ice and fill it to the brim and set it on a counter. As the ice melts the glass does not overflow. It’s the same principle everywhere.

        1. Francisco Machado says

Ice displaces its equivalent weight in water. It would have to be wholly submerged to displace its volume, in which circumstance the water level would go down as the ice melted.

          1. Ed Anderson says

You’re right about the submerged ice, Francisco. About 10% of the ice floating on the oceans is above the water level. This is a relatively-small volume, compared to what’s submerged. The volume of water that would be added to the oceans from melting of the ice currently above sea level would tend to offset the volume lost when the submerged ice melted, but the net effect would still be a volume decrease.

          2. SD of AZ says

Again as always the liberals are making MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. They are doing the same thing over the TRUMP RUSSIA nothing event. Disgusting, stupid creatures. Enough is enough.

          Right!

      5. richard says

If the ice on Greenland melts, sea levels will rise(over a period of years). Artic ice
is floating, and will not affect sea levels. Most of the ice is in the anartic, and it is
showing no signs of melting anywhere except a 2% area (ice shelf). Sea level has been
rising a small amount (that rate has not changed much) for a long time.( since the last ice age ended).

        1. lha says

The latest survey by NASA states that the ice pack is actually increasing and is it’s at it’s highest level overall in many years. Like many short term thinkers, the “scientists” produce fake reports based on localizes melting, which happens constantly to substantiate their alarmist reports. This gets them more grant money,so it continues. Greenland, about 500+ years ago,was actually green, and the Vikings actually grew crops and established a Colony there. Educate yourself and be a logical thinker.

Ask yourself some questions… Why is Miami installing water pumps? Why is Venice worried when their streets are water? Why is NYC having road ways and parks getting flooded at JUST high tide.. NO STORM!!!! Same with CA. Same with Australia, China is also worried about Shanghai. Towns in Alaska are either moving or building sea walls.
Stop being dumb!!!!! This is not about YOUR back yard… It is not R vs D. If we can make smog and we did/are, we damn sure can cause an environment to cause the globe to warm and it is!

      1. Col C says

Same with Ca, really? I live here, and nothing has changed for as long as I can remember, and Al Gore spends more on natural gas in a month, than most people do in a year, so if he is concerned with the environment, why does he waste natural resources? Check it out on snopes.com, I read it there, and Bush was the one with the house that is self sustaining, and I’m not endorsing Bush, cause I think he is part of this global government as well. We may be on a warming trend, just like we were on a cooling trend in the 70s, it doesn’t mean carbon dioxide is causing it, it could be that the warming trend is causing the carbon dioxide to rise, if it is true at all. I also never understood why we can’t do anything in the U.S., but we can let other countries destroy their environments, like say China, which is where 80% of what we buy comes from, and it was Bill Clinton that made China, favored nation status, and yet they are the biggest abusers of the environment, and their labor force.

          1. Herb1949 says

You might try posting the WHOLE TRUTH of this situation. The fact is that a private contractor mistakenly tore down the seawall that was there to stop this from happening. This wasn’t even an especially high tide. It was pretty close to a normal high tide.
Typical global warming nut case. Cherry pick a situation, leave out the REAL facts of the situation.

            Smog….. man made.. agree?
Clouds…. Mother Nature, God.. whoever, Not man made. Agree?
Any weather man will tell you and explain to you why on a cloud filled sky at night, it will be warmer, because the clouds holds the heat in. vs a cloudless night the heat escapes.
Smog is nothing more than a cloud of impurities, but does the same thing, it holds the heat in. We altered the weather.
The things we can’t see in this world are more dangerous than the things we can see… Atoms, bad germs, viruses, We know they are there because of the results of them being here, which creates anything from a common cold to cancer, or the splitting of an atom resulting in a atomic bomb. Just as CO2 you can’t see it, but it is there and the results are, YOUR ski resorts having problems, 125 glaciers disappeared in our Glacier National Park. Bad droughts, forest fires on the rise. 3 consecutive years in a row we broke the highest heat record of the year before.

Nixon opened the door to China

          1. Briston Knight says

And who opened the door to Russia (alias the Soviet Union) in 1929- 30ies? Who designed the 550 strategic industrial plants in that country?

          2. gotabgood says

            I don’t know. Hoover?

          3. Briston Knight says

From 1929 to 1932 the American firm of Alert Kahn (in Russia, in order to hide its American origin, Stalin named it “Gospoektstroy”) designed and supplied with equipment produced by the American corporations, 571
            industrial plants. Among them:
            a) Tractors building (turned into tank producing) plants in Stalingrad,
            Cheliabinsk, Charkov, Tomsk;
            b) Aircrafts building plants in Kramatorsk, Samara, Kuibishev,
            Siberian plants;
            c) Cars building plants in Cheliabinsk, Moscow, Stalingrad, Nizhni
            Novgorod, Samara;
            d) Power Hammersmith plants in Cheliabinsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Charkov,
            Kolomna, Liuberetz, Magnitogorsk, Nizhni Taguil, Stalingrad;
            e) Machine-Tool construction plants in Kaluga, Novosibirsk, Verchnia Solda;
            f) Rolling Mill in Moscow;
            g) Foundries in Cheliabink, Dnepropetrovsk, Charkov, Kolomna, Liuberetz,
            Magnitogorsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Sormovo, Stalingrad;
            h) Mechanical plants in Cheliabinsk, Liuberetz, Podolsk, Stalingrad, Sverdlovsk;
            i) Thirmo-electrical power plants…

It’s easier to say that the Americans designed and supplied with equipment practically all Russian, alias Soviet, industry. Stalin paid for that 2 billion dollars which, in today prices, is equivalent to approximately
220 billion dollars. Corporate greed! The Soviets used those
capacities mainly to produce armaments, forcing the American
taxpayers to pay dozens of trillions of dollars to compensate the
Russian threat that was spreading like fire all over the world
            (Export of revolution)…

Answer this , why do the same people support breaking the ice every spring to open the shipping lane north of Canada in stead of letting the Ice thaw by nature .

        1. gotabgood says

I ask a question and you answer with a question.. Are you a woman?
I am not saying there is no ice way up North. I am saying the temperatures use to be colder and for a longer period of time. The ice use to be thicker. As soon as I put down a figure, you will read somewhere that ice “last year” was the thickest it has been in a decade. A decade ago it was 12 feet thick, the last 9 years were only 8 feet thick and last year it was 10 feet thick… yes it is thicker…. but 2 feet less than 10 years ago,
Every hear the song, “When It Is Spring Time In Alaska, It is 40 Below”… not any more… now it is 20 below, ( or warmer) It is still cold, but 20* closer to the melt point and will get there quicker.

          1. Herb1949 says

No it hasn’t changed a bit, if anything the ice is hanging around longer than it used to.

They designed ships SPECIFICALLY to break the thick ice in that area.

Again, you are cherry picking the facts, instead of researching the WHOLE truth.

First of all your NASA link doesn’t work.
According to this site the weather in Barrow is on the low side of it’s average.
            https://www.wunderground.com/us/ak/barrow#forecast-graph
Next, sea ice melting WILL NOT raise the sea level, it is impossible.
Even if the sea ice melts, so what? it doesn’t prove that it is caused by man.
The world climates have been changing throughout the life of the earth, both colder and warmer than today, it will continue to do so no matter what else happens.
The earth will see colder temps than today, and it will see warmer temps than today.
There is NO PROOF that a warmer Earth would be a bad thing, but it is for dam sure that a colder Earth would be.
The one question that no one has been able to answer is, WHAT IS THE CORRECT TEMP OF THE EARTH? What temp do you want to maintain? The temp of the medieval warm period or the temp of the last ice age?

          4. gotabgood says

I just went to both links and they both worked. The other thing would be to copy and paste.. Or the bold print are headlines, copy and paste them in search.
Anyway.. you were talking sea ice. I realize sea would not cause the oceans to raise. Ice caps, glaciers would and ARE!
Whatever the correct temperature is…. it has to maintain our ice caps, to reflect the heat and to maintain the ocean level that when ALL coastal cities were built they were on dry land and high tide did not interfere their daily activities.
Here is another thing that has happened and most likely people aren’t aware..

In Glacier National Park (GNP), MT some effects of global climate change are strikingly clear. Glacier recession is underway, and many glaciers have already disappeared. The retreat of these small alpine glaciers reflects changes in recent climate as glaciers respond to altered temperature and precipitation. It has been estimated that there were approximately 150 glaciers present in 1850, and most glaciers were still present in 1910 when the park was established. In 2010, we consider there to be only 25 glaciers larger than 25 acres remaining in GNP. A computer-based climate model predicts that some of the park’s largest glaciers will vanish by 2030 (Hall and Fagre, 2003). This is only one model prediction but, if true, then the park’s glaciers could disappear in the next several decades. However, glacier disappearance may occur even earlier, as many of the glaciers are retreating faster than their predicted rates.
            http://nrmsc.usgs.gov/research/glacier_retreat.htm
From your ‘ice age’ until 1850, we had 150 glaciers and were still around for another 60 years in 1910 when the park was established. THEN from 1910 to 2010 we lost 125 glaciers!?! What happened in that 100 years? To cause 125 glaciers to disappear? I will tell you, the industrial boom

          5. Retired says

Let the ice melt on it’s is what you do not understand .It is done the same on the south pole every year and then you wonder why the temps. are going up .

          6. gotabgood says

You think the temperatures are going up because the ice is melting??? hahaha
What do you think is causing the ice to melt?

          7. Retired says

If you are talking emissions from airplanes, car and ships… I agree.
Let me share some things …. This is 5 years old, I am sure there has been many advancements since then. Naturally they are still in the experimental stages and if more rightwingers would get on board, things would move a lot quicker. But things are here and now….
When you look at the solar plane and think how small, how slow, think of the Wright Brothers of how small and how slow and also you measured their flight in feet, not around the world..

And that sort of thing has been happening forever. Many rivers and canyons are rivers and canyons because as the melting ice packs slid down from higher elevations they cut ruts in the soil. Global warming and global cooling have been occurring like clockwork forever. It is called NATURE. I have concluded that while many of the left have been successful and make a ton of money, many of them are as dumb as rocks and know NOTHING about science or nature. They would appear a lot smarter if they could manage to keep their mouths closed from time to time

          13. gotabgood says

Has smog also been happening forever? Is it also a mother nature thing?
We built that… aren’t you proud?
Do you think that is the only way we have upset mother nature??

          14. Tasine says

Not sure what smog has to do with ice. Explain please.

          15. gotabgood says

Well actually a lot… smog is like a cloud, it hold the heat in, so it helps melt the ice.
But you think man has no control over earth and we don’t have the knowledge or power to destroy the world… you have a man in the WH who is eager to find out the real power of our nuclear weapons.. but if we can create smog which is hazardous to our health, you believe that, but don’t believe the CO2 we are dumping into our atmosphere on a 24/7/365 ? Which attacks our world in so many ways other than melting the ice. It is killing corral reef, killing plankton which feeds many other sea creatures. It is causing the ocean in becoming more acidic. It is changing the jet stream, causing more and bigger storms. More heat records broken.

When have the French really, ever helped us ?? They never had too much of a fighting History, besides Napoleon…. duh. And America has some fine wines that surpass the ones from France, which are usually over priced. We don’t NEED the Frogs for anything, anyway, IMHO.

      1. berg1928 says

Our beloved Statue of Liberty was a gift from France, remember?

        1. Tom Schuckman says

Honestly, when we read and study the Bible, we see important “traits” of different groups and nations that have a pattern, and so we are forced to see the ‘sum total’ of everything in their particular History. The KJV Bible is the purest form of History, and “God cannot lie.” —Titus 1: 2. That goes for us individuals, too. Although we can NEVER “earn our way into heaven by our own means,” we will all have to account for everything we did on Judgment Day, to Father God. Fact. For instance…. even though God said that the Israelites were a “stiff necked nation,” He still has a special protective covenant with them…. and just look how they have survived all these years surrounded by hostile neighbors and attacked all the time ! !

Sorry, I guess I meandered off the well beaten path a bit….LOL. I meant that all through out our American history, France only helped us when it was in THEIR interest, and not out of ‘brotherly love.’

          6. berg1928 says

Tom, you are right about that. My dad could tell us just how much we have done for France and how little they have done for us . . .and they do not like Americans or the English and sometimes, even each other.

          7. Tom Schuckman says

I learned many years ago to investigate the History and past of a country. And the KJV Bible IS pure History. So, a few civilization were completely “wiped out,” but most of the other still exist today. Those surrounding Israel revert back to the original heathen creatures, along with their character traits. Sorry, that’s just who they are. And France is the same. I traced my own linage back as far as the 15th Century, where my family used the same spelling of their name. I am not saying I am any better than the next man/ human being, but it is a fun hobby and interest, IMHO. I disagree with much of what you say, but I can tell that you are educated and I respect your right to your own opinion, sir. —Disabled Vietnam Veteran: 68-70, Helicopter ‘door gunner.’ Blog: TOM’S JOURNAL.

I was in Bangkok, Thailand, two times for R and R, just to satisfy my curiosity from things I heard, and in the initial orientation, we were instructed never to do or say certain things while visiting those proud people — or else we could “lose our head” before our own Gov’t could rescue us ! ! I was happy to finally attend college later in life — but I learned TONS of things in the Army…. and other countries.

Fake news! That’s what the Climate Control Controversy is about. Just take a look back at historic records of temperature changes in the world and you will find a fluctuation of the temperatures in such a way that one cannot possibly conclude that this is unnatural. Back in the 1800’s there were records broken for the heat index. And even before that! We have also had some of the coldest recorded temperatures recently. So…what gives? Do we think we are God…that we can control such things? And I cannot fathom China complying with mandatory rules to help climate change. No way! If one country must comply EVERY country must comply; otherwise it doesn’t work! That’s why I say…right on, President Trump! You’re a smart cookie!!! Thanks for saving tax dollars – now go build that wall!

    1. Bill says

The most that they actually seem to know from ice core testing is that CO2 levels today are at an unusual high, near to 400ppm instead of the cyclical natural highs of around 300ppm. That supposedly should cause all kinds of effects, if the “greehouse effect” notion is shouted loudly enough. What they don’t have is anything but computer models and manupulated data to say what effects have resulted, relying on short term changes in anything at all to “prove” that the sky is falling. The temperatures of the earth do not show any change in their trends since the beginning of heavy fossil fuel use in the late 1800s, where you would expect to see a more sudden rise in average temperatures. The overall trend from low CO2 times to today has been smooth. So, yes, we have more CO2 than usual today, but opportunistic politicians end up spouting off about “climate change” as often as they claim “global warming” because no one can yet tell what specific changes they think they are talking about. It is still very far from clear whether the current added 25% of CO2 in the air will have any effect at all, or whether it will simply be absorbed naturally by algae and foliage, or bound up in the shells of clams and oysters. Chances are that the increased CO2 won’t have a significant effect at all. Meanwhile, the presence of CO2 is essential to life, the material that plants photosynthesize into sugars, a huge source of food energy, and in part, CO2 is a sign that life can flourish and is flourishing.

Don’t forget that Greenland was inhabited by the Vikings from the 10th to the 15th centuries, and then it cooled down and they moved away. Was this “global cooling” due to something unnatural? It sure isn’t the kind of place today where anyone wants to put up a beach umbrella. Science today has to find “truth” that sponsors are paying for; otherwise, no one will pay for the research. If there really is any problem, the information is filled with so much political lying, propaganda, and ulterior agendas that the real truth is hard to know, any more.

      1. richard says

You pretty much got it. What is not admitted, is that while adding CO2 will cause
some warming, the amount it actually causes is too small to be detected, amid the
chaotic nature of our weather/climate. Analogy; If I tinkle in the ocean, science says
that the level will rise. It will, but not enough to measure, That makes claims about
        climate change suspect.

        1. Ed Anderson says

Plants take in CO2 and release O2. If more CO2 is available, the number and size of plants will increase to compensate. It’s nature’s balance.

          1. richardwfaith says

          5. Eric Hartman says

          6. Eric Hartman says

Really? I’m sure you can provide detailed proof of that. So you are also saying that the crooked politicians on Africa and elsewhere are liberals and environmentalists and trolls to follow the conversation since you couldn’t help yourself and answered for your girlfriend.

    4. Eric Hartman says

Thank you Briston for the only sane comment on this idiotic rag.

      1. Diane Burns says

Really Briston, you have got to be a liberal or at least a Democrat to believe that nonsense

        1. Eric Hartman says

          Who?

          1. Pam Dunn says

And the NEGATIVE IQ liberal moron spews again.

          2. Eric Hartman says

Kinda the pot calling the kettle black ain’t you pammy? If you could see through your hate you would be able to see that dear diane burns replied to me and either she called me Briston OR she replied to the wrong person. Like I said further up, you are beyond help. It is fun to see you in such a dither filled with hate though. Have a crappy day dear.

          3. Diane Burns says

Sorry Eric, I did, I meant Briston. I replied on the wrong one.

          4. Eric Hartman says

            No problem Diane!

      2. Pam Dunn says

Well, we already know that YOU lack any degree of intelligence; How do you survive with a negative IQ ?

      3. Briston Knight says

I appreciate! To all those who think that only the left, Democrats, or liberals are faulty in the decline of their standard of living, and therefore of the USA, I would remind that the NAFTA and other Global agreements were equally promoted by the Republican and Democrat administrations, not even daring to establish a supervision task force to check up whether it is good or detrimental to the national interests of the majority of Americans. And it was exactly what the trumps from big business wanted: produce cheap overseas but sell expensive in the USA. Guess what? – It did not work that way. Here, instead of promoting and supporting production based on good family-sustaining salaries, the wise Republicans and Democrats were developing the so -called Taco-bell industry, based on minimum salaries… So, whom do we have to blame? – Ourselves in the first place for not willing to get involved in the politics, but instead burying our noses in soap operas.

        1. Eric Hartman says

          Well said.

    5. Pam Dunn says

Been a total idiot and moron long Briston; OR were you born that way .

      1. Briston Knight says

Lack of arguments? – It’s usually a tactic of a real morron who, instead of idea, attacks its carrier. It’s time for you to graduate from the kindergarten, dear.

    6. Ken Thomas says

Another obvious product of the far left leaning progressive liberal establishment who is probably living in mommy and daddy’s basement and crying himself to sleep at night.

    7. Rita says

If it is “the beginning of the end”, you can thank your boy Barry. He did his damnedest to bring America down in every way imaginable. His 1st term apology tour to the world presaged what was to come. Now we have a real leader who doesn’t care if he wins the hearts of foreign governments and has America as his priority. If that’s the beginning of the end, then let it come.

      1. Briston Knight says

I have already answered such remarks earlier, so you can read them if your want. Regards.

Liberals are the biggest threat to humanity. Everytime they open there mouth only hot air and B.S.

  5. richard says

The global warming story lost me when I learned that they “adjusted ” data. That
constitutes a lie to me. I lost all respect for any scientist who backs it. Ignorant or
stupid, you pick. If your data is good, you don’t have to lie. End of story.

    1. RockinOn says

Yes Sir, that is exactly what happened and it all BS, just a way to make folks pay for stupid stuff that won’t make a hill of beans difference in the ozone, by the way, if one volcano goes off for any length of time at all, it negates all of man’s efforts for 1000’s of years! so it is all “Hog Wash” ! Never believed any of it, been actually proven that the climate varies since recorded time, and that is just the way it is, we as men will not regulate what God has put together ! Lord help us from doing Stupid Stuff like setting off nuclear blasts, because that is another story ! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/9dff707072c4994eeac9efac9ca444fd5d244cb2ff8c1e8bd3da5dbe5306aa8c.jpg

  6. Linda says

The liberals are too radical for me. The Democrats count on the ignorance of their supporters. Ignorance usually keeps people narcissistic. I think Trump is making solid and logical decisions.

  7. mk says

So President Trump pulled us out of a reckless worthless economical agreement with Paris and Libs are mad? Makes no sense, as I understand President Trump just gave America back jobs again. And WHO CARES WHAT obama says, he has NO credibility since he wanted to destroy us, was a president under false pretenses and should never have been our president since he is not a u.S. citizen and never has been, he has no say anymore in how to run OUR country. So no offence obama but you have NOTHING worth saying about what our LEADER does anymore, obama you are OUT! now stay out! obama you need to focus on your family and you wife

    1. Leslie Stroud says

Demos have become more irrational with the fulfillmemt of Trump campaign promises. Keep going Trump!!

    2. Bill says

It’s very well on the record that Obama talks a lot. It is also on the record that he rarely knows any facts behind what he talks about, and if he ever does, then he lies. Sounds like a great candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize, to me.

    3. Rosie says

You mean he should focus on his husband. And while he’s at it, focus on anything and everything related to blacks including appearances on any talk show with black hosts, black musicians, black actors, black politicians, black comedians (he’s a comedian too by the way, his entire presidency was a tremendous joke), black reporters, black religious leaders, black crime victims, black business men & women, black teachers, etc. etc.! He’s just trying to stay relevant in some sort of way and Al Gore took on the “global warming” issue to convince himself that anyone cares about or wants to hear anything he has to say. Gore sounds like a comedian too.

  8. dranalog says

I would be for committing these nutcases, but we don’t have enough space for them all.

  9. John says

all libtards should go jump in the ocean before it boils over and disappears.

  10. Rodger K. Shull says

they cried an still are over losing their WICKED BAD QUEEN an the road to their NEW WORLD ORDER PARADISE. an now they are crying over losing their SCAMS of climate change . Was it man made climate change that stop the ice age ??? was it climate change that killed off the dinosaurs. NO but if there was some tax payer money involved to scam, it would have been. Just because AL or Barry said it so, does not mean it is so.

  11. Ima Barber says

The industrial people in the USA will always be looking and working toward better greener energy because the one who finds it will make $$$$$$. In the meantime, we need to continue to run our plants with what works now without killing jobs. The agreement only penalized business and took away jobs that are needed now.

  12. 7818TD says

Threw a Monkey Wrench in the Globalist Lie, sorry, we’re not “redistributing” our money, crippling our economy, raising our utility rates, etc. Stuff it Al Gore, your Lie is over!!

    1. Ed Anderson says

Absolutely! How can funneling our money to China seem like a good idea to anyone who loves America and cares about its people?

  13. Tony says

When Obozo talks about leadership where was he for the past 8 years?? He did nothing but tax and spend borrowed money for the taxpayers to repay. He went around the world saying that he was sorry for WWII and the way America handled it?? Yes for sure he was no leader and now that we have one he is hanging his head in shame. Rightly SO. Good work President Trump and keep up the good work and get rid of the fat politicians that the taxpayers have to support for the rest of their worthless lives.

  14. Michael Heagney says

Staying in a non-level agreement where we doing almost all of the financing has little to do actually progressing forward with CO2 reduction. China and India not having to move forward on reduction until 2030 should have been a negotiating stoppage when Obama signed it. I have worked in both countries for many many years. Some of those condemning the President that I have spoken with have never been out of the country. Pronouncements out of ignorance is just that ignorance.

  15. BlueWarrior says

Remember in the 70’s we were preparing for the next ice age. So much for science and global warming. The earth may be warming but it is due to natural causes. Remember there have been several ice ages, that would also mean we have had several global warm ups.

  16. michael says

The only honest words that I have heard on capitol hill have come from Trey Gowdy. All the rest are just bloated politicians who know nothing but lies. We the people MUST make a change because no one else is going to do it for us. If you’re as pissed off as I am… GET INVOLVED !

  17. Skippy says

This man made climate change is a big lie. Some day these people will be lumped in with the people that believed the Earth was flat.
All Gore is a big fat hypocrite. He’s made a fortune off of this hoax.

    1. Diane Burns says

That’s right Skippy. Al Gore could care less about climate change, he just saw $$$ signs. His house if you google it, isn’t even green (environmentally speaking). What a joke he is.

  18. Brooklyn96 says

The climate has been changing for eons. Just know that the Sahara desert was once a tropical rain forest. We had at least 2 ice ages and the seas rise and fall w/o any help from humans. Smart to change the jargon from global warming to climate change because that is more accurate of what is going on. Al Gore said we would be under water by now. He was wrong. This Paris thing was nothing more than a ploy to spread the wealth of the USA to other countries to punish us for our success; to drain our economy to put us down to be be more like the rest of the countries. Typical liberal ideology to equalize by punishing success. In other word make us all miserable. Realize that volcanic action puts more poison into the atmosphere than burning fossil fuels. What are you going to do about that?! Plug up the volcanoes?! Who are “we” to believe that “we” can control climate. We can’t anymore than plugging up the volcanoes. Humans have adapted to changes in the climate since we first walked the earth. The climate will do what its going to do and there is nothing we can do to change that except adapt. If liberals are so concerned about this maybe thy should push for a massive tree planting across the globe. Too much Co2, well guess what? Plants are the best carbon consumers we have. The planet will change. That’s a fact with or without the help of human beings. So get over yourselves and stop the doom and gloom hype.

    1. Rita says

I think they changed “global warming” to “climate change” when they realized there was no global warming (I can remember some pretty frigid winters and asking myself “where is global warming when you need it?”) It’s typical language games that the liberals use–change the words and change the story.

  19. Robert Early says

I hold three degrees and an IQ of 149. I do understand the big picture of Global Warming and.political propaganda. Trump made the correct decision. Global Warming is 99 % the natural order of things, and perhaps 1% man influenced. You can listen to Obama, Gore, or the idiot French President; or you can hear the voice of reason from our current leader. The problems we face will be dealt with appropriately; but not the elitist powerbroker way of all the world’s Obamas.

  20. Pam Dunn says

WHAT “jobs and Industry” ?? Obama the liberal moron spews a load of ignorant stupidity as usual.

  21. Edward says

What does obama know about job creation in the first place. Now he does know how to destroy jobs. The only other thing he knows is how to throw away our tax dollars. That why he got us into the paris accord in the first place and volunteered america to foot the bill. If those countries would of refused to take our money Obama would of pulled us out and saved trump the trouble. Then he would of went off looking for some other useless cause to give our money to.

  22. Garys_opinion says

It’s unbelievable watching the liberal crack up. It would be nice if they went to live somewhere else, but you know that won’t happen. Nowhere in the world would the government put up with their ranting and raving.
I was listening to Kathy Griffin’s latest tirade on her victim hood for the backlash on her Trump photo. It was funnier than her comedy act. I’ll have to say though, at least she didn’t blame the people of Muldivia
    like Hillary Clinton did.
The left is completely unhinged, they need to get into a big circle jerk and fondle each other until they calm down.

  23. Rita says

If Obama and Gore (Mr. Still Whining after all these Years — apology to Simon & Garfunkel) are for it, you know it’s a bad deal. It was just a giant redistribution of (American) wealth to lesser countries. You know, Obama’s dream of destroying America. I must say, there isn’t much left of Obama’s so-called “legacy” is there? Keep going Mr. Trump and wipe out everything obama did in his illegitimate presidency.

  24. downs1 says

Oh My! How horrible! Oh golly gosh! The world is ending! It is, but not for this reason! It’s ending as we know it because we have turned away from God, we have mocked Him, we have spit in His face, we mock the crucifixion of His Son, and we have mocked every one of His commandments! We have become unbelievably sexually immoral in just about every relationship in spite of His warning against homosexuality! We have killed over 55 million babies in their mothers’ wombs! We have turned away from His people Israel, and we have (thru the ACLU et. al.) attempted to remove Him from our culture! Oh yeah, and we have mocked the person He has raised up “against all odds” to lead this once great Christian nation! He simply finds us unwilling to “submit to those in authority over us” (Hebrews 13:17). “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.'” (Psalm 14:1).

    1. David Rowley says

You nailed it downs, but don’t expect much from the troops. They don’t get it.

  25. N Ortiz says

Yes it is, for all the mooching countries around the world!!!!!!!!!!!! Go suck on
    some bodies else’s tit!

  26. fred russo says

They just keep making FOOLS of themselves!!!!!

  27. Francisco Machado says

“reap the benefits in jobs and industries created” How does withdrawing from the agreement in any way diminish the competitive power of the United States in the world Green Energy market? We’re not competitive in it now, anyway. If our technology develops a new Green Energy source like – let’s get extreme – a safe automotive-applicable cold fusion generator, how does not being in the U.N. Climate Agreement make it not marketable?

  28. Dan Meyer says

Truth is the real threat to our planet is not too much carbon dioxide but too little. Current 400 parts per million near all time historic lows and below 180 ppm all vegetation sickens and dies, followed by the extinction of all animal life.
So just like a moronic, agenda-driven elite politician (professional liar) like Al Gore to live in a world upside down from reality.

  29. Bill Mullins says

Gotta love Al Bore. He preaches conservation to us while flying around the world in private jets and lighting a huge home and grounds. A couple of years back I found a reference (wish I could find it again) which contained an educated estimate of Al Bore’s monthly electricity usage. Now in our monthly electric bill it compares our usage with the average usage in our subdivision. Knowing how many homes are included in that average, I was able to calculate total usage for the neighborhood. That gave me a number to compare to Bore’s monthly usage. Darned if he didn’t use more than me and all my neighbors combined. He wants me to cut back and conserve – and I have; I use less than any home in my neighborhood – while he has a carbon footprint the size of a small town. Al Bore can pound sand if he wants me to conserve.

BTW, I do not conserve because of any mythological “carbon footprint”. I keep the AC (late model & highly efficient) set at the warmest the wife and I can tolerate. I have converted to CFL bulbs (if LEDs come down I’ll consider switching to them, too) wherever practical. I shut off lights unless I truly need them and I conserve water (also the lowest consumption in the neighborhood) as well. I conserve in order to keep my utility bills down.

      1. gotabgood says

Can’t be… that would fall under the category of green energy…. hahaha

      2. Bill Mullins says

And what, pray tell, is pictured in that little graphic? I don’t believe that any current climate change is in any way, shape, form or fashion due to human activity. The amount of CO2 we contribute, while not small, is minimal compared to what natural processes add every day. We are not even significant contributors to the INCREASE in planetary CO2 levels.

Additionally, CO2 levels are at very near an all time low. I have read several articles indicating that if CO2 levels drop much more, plants are going to stop being able to perform photosynthesis. If you recall your elementary school science, plants take in water and CO2 in with sunlight powering the process, produce glucose, a basic hydrocarbon, with the oxygen from both the water (H2O) and the carbon dioxide (CO2) as a byproduct. If there is too little CO2 in the atmosphere, then it won’t matter HOW much water or sunlight the plants have available, they will not be able to make food for themselves or us. Since every non-photosynthesizing living thing in the world depends upon the sugar produced by plants, it the plants starve WE STARVE!

Paleoclimatological data (much, MUCH more accurate than any computer program’s predictions – you know? hindsight is 20/20/?) indicates that in past eras CO2 levels have been several times higher than now. If the earth did not go into runaway greenhouse effect and turn into a twin of Venus at those levels, there is no chance that it will do so ant the low CO2 levels of today.

President Trump said if the deal is better he would consider joining again…… but not one liberal heard that comment

  31. Stephen Gale says

the earth has been around for what?4 billion years?and we have been here for what 200,000?the earth will always heal itself.remember the ice age?wtf happened there when there was no human footprint?most are natural occurences.so we should pay for all these other countries to go green and china and india are the biggest uses of coal in the world?also the biggest populations!it will prove to be the best deal and even the president said that he was open to renegotiation!
