Obama Writes Feminist Essay for Glamour Magazine
President Obama has already dedicated the last six months of his presidency to electing Hillary Clinton, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise to see him penning feminist essays for a women’s magazine like Glamour. After all, it’s been what, at least a week since ISIS launched a terror attack on the West. Plenty of time to forget about that colossal foreign policy failure and turn our attention to something much more important.
In the essay, Obama claims to feel guilty about pursuing his success, looking back on his early ambitions to say, “While I helped out, it was usually on my schedule and my terms. The burden disproportionately and unfairly fell on Michelle.”
Ah, and can we hear from Michelle on this? Would she trade being the first black First Lady for a little more help changing diapers back in the day? Somehow, that’s hard to believe, so let’s cut the bull. Jesus, this guy can’t even enjoy his own success? You’d think at least one person would be happy with the Obama presidency, but apparently not.
But that’s only if you take his reflections seriously, which would be an impossible feat of imagination. If you gave Barack Obama a thousand chances to trade his legacy for one of staying at home to raise his kids, he would choose the presidency a thousand times. Does anyone seriously think otherwise?
“Michelle and I have raised our daughters to speak up when they see a double standard or feel unfairly judged based on their gender or race,” Obama wrote.
Oh, no doubt you have. These girls will be beyond help, having been indoctrinated into your liberal, divisive victim mentality. They’ll go through their entire lives without a moment of true joy, constantly looking at this great country as something to be fixed. There will be blacks of their age who will never make more than $20K in a year, and they’ll be far happier because they don’t view life with that poisonous attitude. They won’t spend their days and nights engaged in a futile fight against WHAT IS. What a sad thing, the liberal’s life.
Inevitably turning his attention to the election, Obama writes, “No matter your political views, this is a historic moment for America. And it’s just one more example of how far women have come on the long journey toward equality.”
“That’s what twenty-first century feminism is about: the idea that when everybody is equal, we are all more free.”
And that’s the problem with feminism and liberalism. There will NEVER be an America where everybody is equal. Not in the secular sense of the word Obama is using here, anyway. And any attempts to force that reality into existence will move us toward slavery, not freedom.
