Republicans Try Once More to Defund Amnesty

House Republicans, no doubt feeling the heat generated by Donald Trump’s anti-establishment presidential campaign, are vowing to take another shot at defunding Obama’s amnesty. A group of 170 House Republicans known as the Republican Study Committee has devised a plan to cut funding to White House programs that provide work permits and legal status to undocumented immigrants.

“The president did not follow the law when he did this, and we need to fully defund his illegal actions,” said Rep. Bill Flores, the chairman of the committee.

Flores is supposed to meet with Republican leaders this week to offer up the group’s proposal, which would give Congress another point of disagreement on the fall spending bill. If Republicans and Democrats fail to come together on a bill by September 30, the government will go into partial shutdown. Already, many conservatives in the House and Senate have promised not to yield when it comes to funding Planned Parenthood. With the addition of this immigration proposal, fireworks are inevitable.

It’s worth remembering that, were it left to congressional Republicans, every aspect of Obama’s amnesty would currently be in effect. It is only due to a multi-state lawsuit and a Texas judge that those plans are on hold. So in case you feel compelled to get your hopes up about this defunding scheme, spend your time wishing for something more likely to happen. Like a blue sunrise or a talking gopher.

Pro-immigration activists have attacked the proposal, noting that even Republicans admit that it will cost more money than it saves. “The one issue that conservatives value just gets thrown out the window because they’re so rabid about their anti-immigrant agenda,” said Lynn Tramonte, the deputy director of America’s Voice.

Eh, that’s a faulty argument. Conservatives don’t just value fiscal responsibility. Unlike liberals, conservatives actually have a set of values and beliefs that transcend economics. It’s not just about shrinking the government and reducing the debt, though that’s important. But you can save a hell of a lot of money by eliminating the military, and you won’t find many conservatives advocating that. There are good reasons to oppose illegal immigration that have nothing to do with finance.

Fiscal conservatism and the evils of illegal immigration both pale in comparison to this president’s reign of tyranny. Congress has an obligation to serve as a check on that tyranny, and our Republican representatives have utterly failed in that respect. Still, there’s always hope that the next time will be better than the last. It’s a flimsy, ugly kind of hope, but we’ll take what we can get.

Republicans are damned if they do, and damned if they don’t……

It is about time for them to start being damned for doing something…

    Impeach the President.
    Defund 0bamacare
    Defund Planned Parenthood.
    Remove Boehner from his position.

    Get er done…

    1. Tom Hilton says

Totally get er done. Get rid of McConnell, too. They talk a good game to get elected then rubber stamp the Democrats plans.

      1. David in MA says

        Speaking of McConnell:

We found 1,485,425 reasons why we believe Mitch McConnell refuses to fight:

        Humana, Inc. – $103,300

The above dollar amounts are what these globalist corporations have paid directly into McConnell’s campaign committee, according to Open Secrets.

There are always recall elections by the states that sent these two do nothing to congress. McConnell wasn’t the most popular candidate in KY, he was the lessor of the evils. (Graham, Corker and Alexander should also be considered for this option.)

          7. Terry Rushing says

Strange, as one who voted republican in 2014 I keep having the feeling that I’m the victim here.

Mark you are one of the leaders. Make sure Obama’s henchmen don’t get near the militia that’s arresting. That includes the new black panthers that will be hiding in the bushes, old buildings. Check things out real thoroughly while they arrest politicians in your area. Pass the word. Watch out for anyone you don’t know. Head them in the wrong direction. Take care.

          7. Bobo Brazil says

waiting for the individual that will take up the leadership role

That about says it all. Armed and prepped but still sitting on your behind.

          8. Bobo Brazil says

Wait a minute. “Corporations are people” and “Money is speech” are conservative mantras. Conservatives are the ones who went after campaign spending laws and got them overturned by the conservative Supreme Court majority.

Now you’re complaining there’s money in politics??

          9. Gerry Costa says

Typical libtard move — taking a statement and twisting it so you only read what you want. I’m well aware of the money in politics BUT to make decisions that are NOT to the benefit of the American citizens for their own personal greed should be illegal. If you agree with what mcconnell , supposedly, took from these companies to vote their way then you are part of the problem with this country or you are an ILLEGAL yourself. Let’s just say I have a problem with ” crooked money ” !!!!!!!

          10. Mark Lahti says

Atta boy Gerry. Take no crap and deal the truth right back at them. Their next move is to start the name calling.

          11. Bobo Brazil says

Sorry, but I think “libtard” was the start of the name-calling.

          14. Bobo Brazil says

            Let’s just say I have a problem with ” crooked money ” !!!!!!!

That makes no sense. All the money given by PACs, lobbyists, corporations, unions, or any special interest is given for quid pro quo. It’s all “crooked money.”

If you really want legislators doing Americans’ business and not their donors’ business, then you should join the liberals – excuse me, libtards – in overturning the Citizens United decision. Or you can stand with conservatives and keep the crooked money flowing.

          15. WaltDizzy says

            Stop making sense.

          16. WaltDizzy says

Apparently, so does Bobo. Thanks to Citizens United those floodgates have been opened. Be careful what you wish for.

          2. wildeagleone says

The article points out that as a Republican he is the best leader the Demoncrats could have as The Leader of the Senate

          3. azsequaya says

Guess I didn’t catch that sentence,,,

          4. wildeagleone says

I apologize as I evidently didn’t explain myself clearly enough the first time. It’s one of those times I knew what I was talking about but didn’t express myself in the right manner. In any event McConnell as well as Boehner must go to preserve faith in the republican party and insure we have a leader that is not a wolf in sheeps clothing giving the Demoncrats all they want and then some

          5. azsequaya says

I went back & re-read the article,, Still didn’t see where it said that in particular, but, I thought about it for a little & realized what you meant ! I don`t know if the apology is needed ,, sometimes I don`t explain my meaning in the things I post,, & WOW,, people start acting like 1941 Japanese !! TORA, TORA, TORA !!!! LOL.

          6. WaltDizzy says

Truth and accuracy enforced through attention to detail are of paramount importance. Sloppiness is laziness. We know who the sloppy and lazy groups are. We must hold ourselves to a higher standard if we expect to be taken seriously and have our posts respected.

          7. WaltDizzy says

Take a good hard look at who’s pulling McCarthy’s puppet strings too. Who are his top 25 donors?

          8. Mark Lahti says

Reid still runs the senate. Whatever Obama vetoes requires a 60 to 40 vote to override the veto. The Reid will never allow that. The 54 to 46 majority means nothing when you have the 60 vote rule to ensure the O gets his way.

          9. azsequaya says

Reid is just as crooked as Barry,, if not worse !! He left over 900 Bills that weren`t voted on, just one instance !!!

          10. Bobo Brazil says

It’s 67 votes, not 60. And that “rule” is in the Constitution.

….and this is why I like Trump. He refuses to take any money from the big corps so that he isn’t beholden to them.

          1. Marty says

Jena, you are absolutely correct. As I’ve said before, the two most dangerous things wrong in DC are corruption and political correctness. If we can’t get a person like Trump (I don’t think he can win the primary due to RNC corruption), then how about someone who fights the corrupt leadership tooth and nail? Cruz fits this bill. Cruz may not have a chance either (for the same reason). It will take a ton of support for either of these guys to win.

          2. Mark Lahti says

I also think Cruz may be the best choice of the peeps we have lined up so far. But it is still early. Many have been ahead this far out in past elections and wound up out of the running come primary time. I say just wait and see. A lot of things could change.

          3. Bobo Brazil says

That’s too bad that we only like candidates who can fund their own campaigns.

          4. Bobo Brazil says

That doesn’t impress me about Trump. He’s a multi-billionaire. He can afford it. It doesn’t hurt him, and he’s not beholden to anybody at all.

Who really impresses me is Bernie Sanders who refuses to take money from the big corps even when it hurts him to do so. More than 95 percent of his campaign financing comes from individuals like you and me donating their own money. He’s beholden to his millions of individual donors.

        9. WaltDizzy says

Excellent! Do you have a similar list for Kevin McCarthy? Let’s do our due diligence BEFORE we let another fox into the hen house.

          1. David in MA says

Sorry I don’t, I found this list in a e-letter I got. But you can bet If I do get one I will post it somewhere.

      2. Terry Rushing says

We have learned that Rep. Mark Meadows has set the stage for “Vacate the Chair” but is there anything of a similar nature to rid the senate of the pants wetting McConnell? This unreasonable fear of “shutting down the government” by republicans is essentially making Obama a mini despot. So load up Obama’s desk with legislation that is FOR the American people and let OBAMA shut down the government and then explain himself. As for government shutdown, who cares? A shutdown government can do far less harm.

        1. MAHB001 says

Agreed, but Boehner and McConnell are standing in the way of getting that done.

That is why the liberals in conservative clothing must be removed from their posts immediately….

      4. MAHB001 says

I understand that many on the left will get “mad” at Republicans for impeaching 0bama. But I also feel that an impeachment would not change their minds..

0bama has broken laws, he should face just punishments for breaking those laws. 0bama should not be above the laws…

As for the 40 million illegals that are in America. Please correct me if I am wrong. But, I don’t think any of them will actually vote. I think they have been enticed into breaking the laws for that better life.

Having said that, I believe that 0bama and Hillary are going to vote for them. The Dems are going to register them, and create fake votes for them.. The Media is painting them as Democrat voters, and they probably will never see the inside of a voting booth, but their votes will be manufactured by the Dems and NOBODY is going to question their votes, especially the 40 million illegals…

So again, Damned if we do, Damned if we don’t..

        1. hangem'high says

          4. Laddyboy says

MAHB001: You are correct. The difference here in America, the fence has ALREADY been paid for. Where did the money go??!!! I believe some(?) went into ‘h.reid’s’ pockets. How can a person who worked for the government for all of his working career become a millionair!

          5. Bobo Brazil says

Real easy. You know that Congress has exempted itself from insider trading laws. And, trust me, they get a lot of insider information. (Oh and it’s not just Harry Reid. Look at Paul Ryan.)

          6. Mark Lahti says

I’ve looked at Paul Ryan. What’s your point?

          9. hangem'high says

Congress is good at coming up with restrictions and regulations as why not, but nothing as to why we should!
With that I give Hungary credit, but still it may been too late for them!

          10. Marty says

Why in the world do we have to accept any of them? one American murdered by one illegal, is one too many. And there are thousands of them. We have 1000’s of murders committed on Americans by Americans. Why would we allow aliens to come and do the same. Yes, the isis POS’s tell us up front what their intentions are, but we also know the illegal gang bangers kill our citizens with disregard also.

          11. hangem'high says

The fact is America’s population is shrinking it’s the only county that the progressives have talked into, brainwashed, or other terms into population control. No other county does it as effective as America does, so it only makes sense that we would hand over its children’s inheritance to other countries, coining the term “Open boarders”

          12. Mark Lahti says

That is the most confused piece of garbage I’ve heard in ages.

          13. hangem'high says

Good then you can say you heard it from me first!

          14. WaltDizzy says

Yep, and it’s one of the more coherent things he’s posted.

          15. WaltDizzy says

… as do the legal gangbangers.

          16. Marty says

Absolutely! A criminal is a criminal. Street gangs, prison gangs, motorcycle gangs. All are the worst of the worst, no matter what country they come from.

          17. WaltDizzy says

Maybe armed militia gangs could combat the other armed gangs..

          18. Marty says

Unfortunately, if obummer gets his way, it may come to that.

          19. WaltDizzy says

Of course. Like you said: “if he gets his way”, right? And of course, the POTUS advocates exactly that in almost every speech he gives. “We need our street gangs across this great nation of ours to engage in armed conflict with our wonderful organized militias.” I sure hope he doesn’t get his way on that.

          20. Marty says

Obummer has been inciting the folks to riot since at least the Zimmerman case in Florida, probably many prior, I really can’t remember. A real president would always try and ease the tensions rather then increase them. Obummer easily have prevented or at least reduced the severity of the riots, but that’s not what he did. You tell me why.

          21. WaltDizzy says

I know what you mean. I remember the speech he gave where he said: “I hereby incite you all to riot. I do not wish to ease tensions, but rather to increase them. As a great nation, we should never endeavor to prevent or even reduce the severity of riots.” You are so right. It was a memorable speech for sure. To answer your question, I DON”T KNOW WHY he gave that speech.

          22. Marty says

Don’t remember that one, but if I were a mind reader, I would have known. Now if you were to get serious, answer my question! Why did he say things like “He could be my son, the piece of shit who was a gang banger with face book photos of him with the cash and gun? Just like the POS in Ferguson, etc., etc. etc. obummer was every bit as bad as all these gang bangers. It sickens me to think as a so called POTUS acting like this. And if you think he was acting properly, maybe we should tar and feather you along with him and put you on a raft to Cuba!

          23. WaltDizzy says

Uh … I see where you started his quote but I don’t see where it ends. Did the POTUS really say “piece of shit’ for example?

          24. Marty says

Like I said, get serious and answer my question.

          25. WaltDizzy says

I am serious, aren’t you? I mean, you said the same thing I said. Were you just joking? Did you or didn’t you say that: “Obummer has been inciting the folks to riot since at least the Zimmerman case in Florida, probably many prior …” Well??? Do you stand by your words or not? I agreed. He has been. He does it all the time. It’s all over the news every night how he incites folks to riot.

          26. Marty says

How little the atheist knows of the end of times, or the second coming!

          33. WaltDizzy says

I still believe Jesus loves you, However, most Atheists I’ve met are actually quite learned and very well versed in scripture. They’re neither stupid nor ignorant people. They’ve simply taken the same information you and I have absorbed (like your little ‘Book of Revelations’ reference) and come to different conclusions. What you don’t seem to comprehend is that people who don’t agree with us are not therefore automatically stupid or ignorant. In fact, they may be MORE intelligent & learned than us. The only difference is that we’ve come to conflicting conclusions about the information we’ve digested.

          34. hangem'high says

Usually why atheist come to different concussions when reading the bible is they go into it with different motives like justifying their actions toward others, or to erase the need of repentance of sin as with law or something that’s illegal because something that is illegal, If they can get rid of the act that is illegal there is no need for the law. They believe if they can discredit the Bible then this magical event will take place and everyone will be tolerant of everyone else’s sin and the sinner doesn’t have to feel remorse for their actions any more. So what their actually trying to do is what God did when he died and was resurrected for the emission of sins given us a clean bill of health, and a path immortality. The atheist wants to live in the mortal realm and have no restrictions in their short time on earth what they don’t realize is there is always another atheist that wants to destroy their bodies without any consequences of the judgment. Yes there is some, very few atheist that live a somewhat Godly life meaning they actually respect their neighbors their belongings, wife, children ect. about 2 ½ percent at best if not much lower? In the same breath there are some so self-proclaimed Christians that have Satan written all over their faces!
Being more intelligent doesn’t actually make an atheist not ignorant, but makes them blind, death and unresponsive to reason and thus they have to dig up evidence to actually believe in an old wives tail in the Bible, where a believer doesn’t need to dig!

          35. WaltDizzy says

Opinions are like anal sphincters. Everybody’s got one and everybody else’s stinks. We get it. You’re certainly welcome to your opinion. If you’d like to present some researched, scientific, objective evidence for your positions, that’d be great. If you’re a believer who doesn’t need to dig to believe in Biblical wives tales, we understand that too.

          36. hangem'high says

Why do atheists always resort to research when all they have to do is read the Bible?
You see, I found what I was searching for. I may have been crawling on the lowest form of dirt for years but eventually I found it, and you can too! Its hiding in the palms of your hands and in the bended of your knees, all you got to do is ask!

          37. WaltDizzy says

What are you talking about? I know Jesus loves you. I know about Jesus. I also know that in addition to being a Christian in name only, you also know little or nothing about other beliefs or the lack thereof. Your screed on atheists along with your false assumptions about me shows how abhorrently lacking you are in a basic understanding of reality.

          38. hangem'high says

            Are you sure?

          39. WaltDizzy says

            About what?

          40. hangem'high says

About my understnding of your basic reality!

          41. WaltDizzy says

Uh …….. yeah. You misquoted though. It’s not “my” reality. It’s just reality in general that I sense you may not understand..

          42. hangem'high says

Is this where the basic reality comes into play,
I’m pretty sure I have an opinion on ‘em all?

          43. WaltDizzy says

Your opinions on reality are prized globally above all else. Jesus loves you.

          44. hangem'high says

Too bad they’re doomed to repeat history?

          45. hangem'high says

            You got that straight Walt!

          46. WaltDizzy says

You wrote: “Why do atheists always resort to research when all they have to do is read the Bible?” WTF are you talking about? Where in the bible does it say: “Usually why atheist come to different concussions when reading the bible is they go into it with different motives like justifying their actions toward others, or to erase the need of repentance of sin as with law or something that’s illegal because something that is illegal, If they can get rid of the act that is illegal there is no need for the law. “? If Christians or Atheists or Buhhdists or anyone else reads the bible, where will they find what you’re claiming? Chapter & Verse please!

          47. hangem'high says

Surely you wouldn’t confuse opinion with scripture? I’m giving you more credit than that, just because I believe you more intelligent then most!

          48. WaltDizzy says

That’s why I asked you if you can show me where in the bible it says: ” “Usually why atheist come to different concussions when reading the bible is they go into it with different motives like justifying their actions toward others, or to erase the need of repentance of sin as with law or something that’s illegal because something that is illegal, If they can get rid of the act that is illegal there is no need for the law. “? Yet, when challenged about what is obviously only an opinion, your response was: “Why do atheists always resort to research when all they have to do is read the Bible?: Yet, there’s NOTHING in the bible relating to your tirade about atheism from a few posts ago. that’s your opinion – why refer anyone to the bible about as as you did?

          49. hangem'high says

The Athist, non belive, heathen, Hypocrite always want the Christians to do the research for them, when all they have to do the read the bible! Is that a little bit clearer for you
When they do read the bible they go into it to disprove God which they haven’t figured out yet in all their wisdom they can never do! The message of the bible is lost to them before they ever start because their hearts have been harden by own pride!

          50. WaltDizzy says

Let’s try this again, son. Where in the Bible does it say that “WaltDizzy is an Atheist”? Chapter? Verse?

          51. hangem'high says

I’m guessing but don’t take my word for it, in Dizzys head, if you don’t like the one I gave you, you have several other options in which to choose?

          52. WaltDizzy says

Obviously …. you’ve got nothing. At least Jesus loves you.

          53. hangem'high says

You might be right no evidence there, at least Jesus loves you. I’m guessing!

          54. WaltDizzy says

Try googling “What do atheists know about religion?” or “What do atheists know about Christianity?” or “What do atheists know about the bible?”. Let us all know what you learn.

        2. Marty says

MAH, sorry to say the illegals are already voting. States that give them drivers licenses without UNDOCUMENTED across the license, are giving them the opportunity to vote, and they DO. Voter fraud is the demorats best friend.

          1. MAHB001 says

I realize that illegals are getting access to voting. But I don’t think a large majority of them are actually using that privileged yet, or even understand that they have the privilege to vote.

I live in CA, I have seen the “Undocumented” CA drivers license, and along with the application came a voter registration application.

What I am saying is that maybe 2% are actually taking advantage of this and registering to vote, the OTHER 98% are being registered by liberals without the illegals knowledge. That gives the liberals a huge pool of votes that will not be cast unless they cast them….

Yes, the Democrats are using illegal voters for voter fraud. That is why they are so much against any type of voter ID laws… A voter ID law would make it much harder for them to inject these fraudulent votes..

            Make sense? Just my theory…

          2. Marty says

MAH, sorry I was being facetious when I said they had the ‘privilege to vote’. They aren’t legally allowed to vote. Being from Kalifornia, I know how things work there. I’ve never seen actual statistics about illegal aliens voting. My guess the demorats would prevent such a survey from being completed. I’ve seen some criminal charges filed against illegals, but obviously just a drop in the bucket. Voter ID laws would go a long way towards ending fraudulent voting, but as long as states issue drivers licenses to illegals, they will continue to vote. And as everyone with a lick of sense knows, obummer and his DOJ crooks, fight these laws with every available resource, including corrupt judges.

          3. Bobo Brazil says

I’ve never seen actual statistics about illegal aliens voting. My guess the demorats [sic] would prevent such a survey from being completed.

How on Earth would they accomplish that?

Not to mention, we allow foreign corporations (thanks, conservatives) to spend unlimited amounts of money on advertising to get real Americans to vote their way. There’s a strong argument to be made that those foreigners have far greater impact on how our elections turn out than the few illegals who happen to manage to vote.

          4. Mike with the Silver Star says

George Soros is not a conservative and he is guilty of what you infer. So please don’t start putting labels on conservatives.

          5. WaltDizzy says

That’s right, Mikey. You’ll never find a conservative putting labels on their political opponents.

          6. Bobo Brazil says

            Make sense? Just my theory…

If I understand you correctly, “the OTHER 98% are being registered by liberals without the illegals knowledge” means those votes are being cast without those illegals actually going to the polling places? Or, are the liberals shepherding them in to cast real ballots? But they couldn’t do that without the illegals’ knowledge.

If they are casting those votes behind the scenes without the illegals’ knowledge, how does voter ID help stop it? You need a voter showing up in the polling place to show their ID.

          7. MAHB001 says

Yes, that is how I see it, the 98% will be sitting on their sofa watching Big Bang reruns without even knowing they are voting.

Voter ID’s would mean one vote per ID. Not like this guy dumping hundreds of ballots off for all his buddies watching reruns..

          8. Upset Voter says

Yes it is. Obama didn’t win in the second election. This video is proof that all the votes for Romney were changed to Obama. Us Americans knew he was hell bent on destroying our wonderful country. His job is to protect US AMERICANS. Why isn’t he doing anything about ISIS marching in our streets? Why, because he wants to change our religious beliefs to the satanic Muslim faith. That will never happen in this country. We are founded on “In God We Trust”. I have a great idea. We are fighting a war against our enemies that will never end. Bring back our military to save us Americans. Put them on the roofs where ISIS is marching shouting “DEATH TO AMERICA”. Give them AK-47 rifles with 100 rounds and shoot to kill all of them before they kill us because of our religious beliefs. Round up all the bodies and drop them in the ocean 50 miles away from our shores and let the sharks have a buffet. I am not a racist or a terrorist. I AM AN AMERICAN BORN FRENCH/ITALIAN that loves my country. It has been going to hell under our incompetent President that only cares about the radical Muslims with hopes to change this country into a Muslim nation. We need to arrest him for treason against US AMERICANS AS WELL AS HILLARY AND DEPORT ALL OF THEM.

          9. Mike with the Silver Star says

That’s why we have election judges, and what you state doesn’t make sense.

          10. Mark Lahti says

You just don’t get it. It’s not the voters that matter. It’s who counts the votes that matters.

          11. Bobo Brazil says

That’s my point, exactly. MAHB001 said “A voter ID law would make it much harder for them to inject these fraudulent votes.”

Maybe you can explain how, then, how IDing the voters will stop the fraud in the back room? That’s all I’m wondering.

          12. Mark Lahti says

Hey there MAH my friend. Me again. I’m pretty sure it was Stalin that said that it doesn’t matter who votes. It is the ones who count the votes that matters. Also, Boehner is gone as of the end of October. He just resigned effective Oct 30. As far as McConnell goes it doesn’t matter anymore. Whatever the republicans try to pass or for that matter try to defeat gets beat by Reid. How you ask? If a bill gets passed because of our 54 to 46 majority, Obama just vetoes it. We don’t have a veto proof majority. Reid will make sure that there will never be a 60/40 vote to override the veto. So no matter what we do with our bills in congress and then send to the senate. It will never get past the senate. McConnell knows that it would be pointless to even bring this stuff up for a vote just like Reid did because it will never pass. Bottom line is that with a majority in both houses we still can’t get anything done we want to do.

          13. MAHB001 says

How are you doing my friend.

I understand all of that, but I say that should not stop up from trying… We must make 0bama veto these things, we MUST make the Senators and Representatives vote and put their actions on paper.

Republicans are damned if we do and damned if we don’t. It is high time we get damned for doing something……

I think we put too much weight on polls and surveys…

One of my most favorite quotes of all times is from Henry Ford.

“If you think you can, or you think you can’t, your absolutely right.”

If Boehner wasn’t a turncoat democrat spy, he was guilty of always thinking that he couldn’t do things…. And like the saying says, thinking that you can’t do something becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

McConnell has the same stinking thinking, and needs to be replace if for that reason alone….

I say, lets start being damned for doing something and first off, I would like 0bama to OWN all the crap that he has forced on us.

          14. Mark Lahti says

Agreed. You are right again of course. It just seems so futile sometimes. I guess making the HTNIC own all of his shit is worth the effort. God bless and hang in there.

          15. MAHB001 says

Lets be damned for doing something..

Boehner was a quitter, We are NOT….

          16. Bobo Brazil says

You don’t get it. It takes 67 votes in the Senate to override a veto.

          17. WaltDizzy says

            Thank you!

          18. WaltDizzy says

Read the Constitution of the United States of America. Where does it say 60/40? Every time we’re too lazy and sloppy to make our points accurately and 100% factually, we lose credibility. The future of our country depends on our being taken seriously.

          3. hangem'high says

You’re right in every way but I don’t plan on going anywhere in 17 months so, we could just let this thing take its course until it rights itself!

Perhaps the answer is to remove the career politicians during the primary elections and then in the general election vote out the liberals (meaning democrats) and then if we could only get congress to go for term limits on their own jobs; will never happen as long as the career politicians are there.

        1. Gunflint Roseberg says

I agree Tom, but they will never agree to term limits…That is, those who really control $$$$$$$$$ will not allow that. It’s going to be up to us to educate the masses, then vote them all out.

          1. MAHB001 says

We the People must impose term limits until they impose it on themselves…

The Convention of States has a way of imposing term limits, without the politicians votes.

          2. ROBERT says

          4. ROBERT says

Easy for 2014 and the rest of my life, why? The silent, conservative majority has awoken. We voted who we thought was going to fight against Obummercare, that didn’t happen. We, with letters, faxes, emails, & daily pressure from TEA PARTY people got rid of The Speaker of the House, rino, establishement, Boner. We, true conservatives, are cleaning up our own house, party. Demonrats don’t get rid of their dirty members, Hitlery, they just go with the status quo. We the people in the Republican Party are slowly but surely putting our true conservative law makers in the congress. Boner left because of the pressure we will instill if you don’t enact policies you ran on to get our votes. TRUMP 2016.

If the truth comes out and they prove(there is a ton of evidence) he is illegitimate as a American President all he has his signature on is null and void. It would be as if he never happened. Arrest him for his criminal activities in reguards to becoming president and all the mess he created is gone. Demand his arrest and prosecution for his criminal actions. Don’t stop till he is in prison. His criminal activity is indisputable. Force your elected officials to investigate him. He has already confirmed the outcome of any investigations.

Never has been, never will be.

        1. WaltDizzy says

I never said the economy is a good reason to go to war. However, I’m also not an ostrich. Do you remember what Ike warned about the military/industrial complex? Do you think war is good for Lockheed-Martin, Halliburton, Raytheon, Northrup-Grumman, United Technologies, BAE Systems Huntington Ingalls etc? (this is just a few of many) How many people does this industry segment employ? Are they publicly held and traded companies? Do they in turn purchase goods and outsource services?

          1. MAHB001 says

Public safety is the Governments number one responsibility.. We are the best in the world at it. Those Companies provide valuable services that help keep us safe.

The AMERICAN PEOPLE have only gone to war for noble Reasons. To think otherwise is an insult to the America and Americans I know and love….

I do not buy the “hate America” rhetoric that the left spews.. Those that do believe that crap are being played by forces that they do not understand.

We used to live in the most secure place on earth…

You implied that America has gone to war for the economy. Or did I read your post wrong?

          2. WaltDizzy says

Yes, you read it wrong. Please re-read it. You may also wish to see this video of Ike on the subject. Try not to read him wrong as well.

          3. MAHB001 says

this is the comment I was referring to when I said that you implied that America has gone to war for economical reasons:

“Don’t forget to commit our full military to an all out war in the middle
east. War is good for the economy. Remember, Jesus loves you.”

That comment leads me to believe that you were sarcastically insinuating that America has gone to war for less than noble reasons… That belief I see as wrong.

It seems you forget how much good has come out of the “war” industry. Look at all the medical and technical advances that have come from the technology industry….

          4. WaltDizzy says

That was an addition to your “To Do” list:

            Impeach the President.
            Defund 0bamacare
            Defund Planned Parenthood.
            Remove Boehner from his position.
Commit our full military to an all out war in the middle east.

Shouldn’t the latter be part of that “To Do” agenda?

The comment that followed was merely an aside based on historical fact. Don’t believe it? In addition to the partial list of U.S. companies who still profit from war to this day, you could even look at past war profiteers like I.G Farben, Siemens, VW or Krupp etc. who profited on the German side of WWII. Actually even U. S. corporations like Chase, Standard Oil & Kodak (there are more) profited from Hitler’s war effort. If it’s your belief that the only motives for war are always noble ones and companies like Halliburton are only in it for God and Country … then, OK.. You’re certainly entitled to believe anything you choose to.

          5. MAHB001 says

It seems I did misread your post.. My apologies… But, you should have left the entire sentence about war being good for the economy off your post. It seems you don’t agree with that part either, and it is not the reason America has gone to war. None of them.

I agree, we need to take the shackles off our Military and back them if we indeed to send them into harms way, for noble reasons.

It is a shame that the current leader of our Military has failed them in such an obvious way.

It is not a sin to profit from the fruits of your labor. But to start a war to make a profit would be.

I do believe that America has gone to war, RELUCTANTLY for noble reasons. You must understand that Halliburton had NO SAY as to whether or not America went to war… Unlike Clinton, Cheney actually resigned his post and left Halliburton because of the appearance of a conflict of interest…

I am curious, with the data that we now have, do you think that Hillary’s “Foundation” profited from her dealings as Secretary of State? It seems to be the same situation.

It is your right to think otherwise, but I fear you have been subjected to the Lefts anti American view of history. That history has been concocted by very evil people with the intent of turning Americans against their noble heritage. You see, they must break down America, before they can rebuild America…

Again, this is my view supported by several sources. The movie, America, what would the world be without her, by Dinesh D’Souza. The book, The Naked Communists, written by Cleon Skousen, and several other books and interviews like the following.

Yuri Bezmenov describes exactly what has happened to the left at 30 seconds. And he goes on to describe exactly what will happen to those same people when they finally realize that their “utopia” will not be attained and they have been played a fool by the communists at 2:46.

          6. WaltDizzy says

It seems I did misread your post.. My apologies… But, you should

respectfully disagree. #1 The 2nd sentence should not be
censored. The right to a free exchange of ideas is part of what
makes America great and unique in the annals of history. #2 While
I agree that profit was not the reason we’ve gone to war in almost
all cases, it certainly is a reason engagements have been
unnecessarily costly and intentionally wasteful. #3 Our invasion of
Iraq certainly was about economics – both military and global
petroleum interests. To be fair, there was also the ongoing pissing
contest between Bush Sr., Jr. and Saddam. Rumsfeld and Cheney added
the remaining fuel to the fire. I won’t get into an argument about
whether or not there were WMDs and who knew what & when.
Predictably, different conclusions have been drawn by folks of
            differing political philosophies. Shocker, right?

It is not a sin to profit from the fruits of your labor. But to
start a war to make a profit would be.

never submit that our Military/Industrial complex started the Iraq
war but they certainly DID “profit from the fruits of their labor”
with intentionally wasteful and costly protocols once it was

I do believe that America has gone to war, RELUCTANTLY for noble
reasons. You must understand that Halliburton had NO SAY as to
whether or not America went to war… Unlike Clinton, Cheney actually
resigned his post and left Halliburton because of the appearance of a
            conflict of interest…

            the end of
            Desert Storm in
February 1991, the Pentagon led by then defense secretary
Halliburton subsidiary Brown & Root Services over $8.5 million to
study the use of private military forces with American soldiers in
            combat zones.
MRE our men and women ate over there came through Halliburton.
crews also helped bring 725 burning oil wells under control
            in Kuwait. In
1995, Cheney became Chairman and CEO. Also,
            during the Balkans
in the 1990s, Kellogg Brown-Root (KBR) supported U.S. peacekeeping
            forces in Bosnia
            and Herzegovina,
            Croatia and Hungary
food, laundry, transportation, and other life-cycle management
            services. In
1998, Halliburton merged with Dresser Industries, which included
Kellogg. Prescott Bush was a director of Dresser Industries, which
is now part of Halliburton; his son, former president George H. W.
Bush, worked for Dresser Industries in several positions from 1948 to
1951, before he founded Zapata Corporation. From 1995 to 2002,
Halliburton Brown & Root Services Corp was awarded at least $2.5
billion but is believed to have spent considerably less to construct
and run military bases, some in secret locations, as part of the
Army’s Logistics Civil Augmentation Program. This contract was a cost
plus 13% contract and BRS employees were trained on how to pass GAO
audits to ensure maximum profits were attained. It was also grounds
for termination in the Balkans if any BRS employee spoke of Dick
Cheney’s being CEO. BRS was awarded and re-awarded contracts termed
“noncompetitive”, allegedly because BRS was the only
company capable of pulling off the missions.
            DynCorp actually
won the competitively let second contract, it never received any work
            orders in the Balkans.

has become the object of several controversies involving the2003 Iraq
War and the company’s ties to former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney.
Yes, you’re right. Cheney retired from the company during the 2000
Presidential campaign with a severance package worth $36 million.
He must have been a VERY GOOD CEO!
of 2004, he had received $398,548 in deferred compensation from
            Halliburton while Vice President.
was chairman and CEO of Halliburton Company from 1995 to 2000 and has
            received stock options from Halliburton.

the run-up to the Iraq war, Halliburton was awarded a $7 billion
contract for which ‘unusually’ only Halliburton was allowed to bid.
            Ha! Under
U.S. law, the government uses single-bid contracts for a number of
            reasons, to include when
in the view of the Government,
only one organization is capable of fulfilling the requirement.
Bunnatine Greenhouse, a civil servant with 20 years of contracting
experience, had complained to Army officials on numerous occasions
that Halliburton had been unlawfully receiving special treatment for
work in Iraq, Kuwait and the Balkans. Criminal investigations were
opened by the U.S. Justice Department, the Federal Bureau of
            Investigation (FBI)
and the Pentagon’s inspector general. These investigations found no
wrongdoing within the contract award and execution process. In one
of Greenhouse’s claims, she said that military auditors caught
Halliburton overcharging the Pentagon for fuel deliveries into Iraq.
She also complained that Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld’s office
took control of every aspect of Halliburton’s $7 billion Iraqi
oil/infrastructure contract. Greenhouse was later demoted for poor
            performance in her position.
            Hell, why not fired?
attorney, Michael Kohn portrayed her performance reviews as
punishment for criticizing the administrations, he stated in the New
York times that “she is being demoted because of her strict
adherence to procurement requirements and the Army’s preference to
sidestep them when it suits their needs. Ya think?

today, Dick Cheney holds a huge block of Halliburton stock and stock
options. Yes, during his tenure as VP he resigned from the board and
his interests were put into a proxy receivership over which he had no
direct control. However, it’s value continued to grow handsomely and
after leaving office all his Halliburton assets and accrued profits
were returned to him. Dick’s once again a happy member of the
            Halliburton family.

my boy W. Cleon Skousen when we need him? He could take this little
tale of money, power, intrigue and inter-relationships … sprinkle
on a little of his magic innuendo … put 2 & 2 together and turn
this into the rip-roarin’est conspiracy theory paperback you ever
            did read!

am curious, with the data that we now have, do you think that
Hillary’s “Foundation” profited from her dealings as
Secretary of State? It seems to be the same situation.

Do you have the companion “Clinton Foundation” information to
            the Halliburton tale I’ve presented?

It is your right to think otherwise, but I fear you have been

“conservatard”, “liberworst”, fascist vs socialist stupidity
I see on these posts too often. I served my country and did 2 TDYs
in ’69 through ’71. I don’t need to wrap myself up in the flag and
proclaim my patriotism over somebody else. I’ll ask you not to as
well. We’re better than that. If we’re not, then you may continue
this discussion on your own and it won’t be due to any fear or
unwillingness to engage on my part. It will be due to my refusal to
volley nonsense propaganda back and forth. Waste of time.

The only problem is that you do not have proof to support your accusations. They are nothing more than conspiracy theories.

I grew up giving people the benefit of doubt until proven guilty, and that goes with lying as well. Being branded and proven a liar is not a thing to be taken lightly. Once lost that benefit of assumed innocence is gone.

So where in this speech does Bush talk about going to war for economic reasons…

            more later.

          8. WaltDizzy says

Understood. We agree to disagree about the motives behind going to war in Iraq. Do you know how to tell if a politician is lying? Of course the president could never sell a war if he said: “My fellow Americans. There comes a time when, in the economic interests of my friends and family and because a Middle Eastern a**hole dictator disrespected my father and me, it behooves the American people to stand together in letting me spend Billions of dollars we can ill afford and thousands of young American lives on an ill-advised military adventure with no clear goals.” Yeah, we’ll never see THAT video. As to conspiracy theories … I thought you were a W. Cleon Skousen fan! You should be lovin’ the possibilities here.

          9. MAHB001 says

Your theoretical speech has and will never happen, why? Because those are not good enough reasons to go to war, in ANY body’s mind, including Bush and Cheney’s….. If you watched the speech I provided, you would have realized that Bush laid out why we were going to war, and the coalition of people that stood with him… Including some rather notable Senators that were also convinced and voted for war…

So when does a conspiracy theory become a plot? When the FACTS show that the theory is true and the secret plan is no longer secret…

That is what has happened with Skousen’s agenda. It is no longer a conspiracy theory, it is no longer secret, and the facts no longer can be denied….

Lets look at some of Skousen’s predictions…

“13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.”
You can not deny that the left wants to rid schools of saying the pledge of allegiance.

“15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.”
Boehner and McConnell are socialists/communists in Republican clothing. You can not deny that their actions support 0bama’s agenda more than the Republicans agenda…

          10. WaltDizzy says

Uh, ….. yeah. That was kinda my whole point about the bogus hypothetical speech.

          11. MAHB001 says

            So we agree.

Forgive me for saying this, but I find it hypocritical to think that Bush and Cheney are guilty of going to war for profit, with zero actual facts to support the theory, and still believe that Skousen is just a conspiracy theorists, when all the facts show that it is not a conspiracy at all. The Democrats are advancing the agenda today….

While on one hand you connect dots to in an attempt to prove that Americans are EVIL people and empire builders, on the other, you ignore the fact that your Government officials are turning this great Country into a some kind of socialist state.

Socialism is nothing better than slavery. You might want to start addressing that issue before they take away your right to disagree with them.

          12. WaltDizzy says

Both are conspiracy theories which state true facts and then add innuendo to (erroneously) connect the dots. Skousen & Stormer are both masters of this technique. Mine is but a humble attempt at imitation.

          13. MAHB001 says

There is a point where theories are backed with enough evidence that they are no longer just a speculation.

There is now proof from the former Soviet empire opened archives that Skousen was indeed telling the truth.. .. Those documents also proved that McCarthy was right as well… who is Stormer?

Socialists went underground for a long time, but they never stopped… I provided evidence that both political parties have been taken over by socialists/communists and are following the agenda… You have not refuted those claims. You actually have ignored them, which leads me to believe that I am correct.

Yuri Bezmenov described The ideological subversion that the communists were/ARE using on Americans.

What has happened to their subjects is described at :30

And what will happen to those same subjects after they take over control is described at 2:46

You may think Socialism is ok, but you are being played the fool…. I know you are smarter than that.

          14. WaltDizzy says

John A. Stormer wrote a book similar to Skousen in concept called “None Dare Call it Treason”. You should read it. You’d love it if you like Skousen’s stuff. Personally, I believe the REAL conspiracy is much more sinister than what those two assert. The REAL aim is to turn the people against each other with Right/Left – Conservative/Liberal – Hawk/Dove – Socialist/Capitalist propaganda to foment even more polarization among our citizenry and eventually have all of U.S. distrusting and/or even hating one another as fellow Americans to the point where we start killing each other in defense of “The CORRECT American way forward”. The strong support of the 2nd amendment by lobbies like the NRA is programming us to become armed in anticipation of some kind of internal armed conflict. It’s has been ongoing for decades and continues today. (I own a few pieces myself) but it you think your AR-15 is anything but a pea-shooter compared to the military technology available to the state, you’re kidding yourself. Now, the government can step in with the huge arsenal of weapons they’ve been amassing ostensibly to use in protection of our freedom, our constitution and our American way of life. Except that the arsenal will “unfortunately” have to be used against the citizenry of the USA to restore order. Poor people and middle class folks making 60K or even 120K a year today don’t have the power to move that needle much. You and I can’t buy congressmen or senators. The ultra rich like international bankers and the Kochs etc. can. they also have the money to create organizations to foment variouis conflicting agendas. Big $ owns Fox News on the right. Big $ owns MSNBC on the left. The people are just pawns set against one another by Big$. I think that’s the ultimate goal. To get the “LIBERWORSTS” & CONSERVATARDS” squabbling so vehemently that it starts a civil war. Now, they’ll have an excuse to use government force control the people … all in the interest of keeping the peace and restoring order, or course. Then, Marshall law will LAST FOREVER! Don’t worry about the poor or even the middle class. They have no power. They’re not your enemy. Neither the ‘Republicrats’ or the ‘Democans’ are your enemy. Those are just red herrings designed to get us all excited over nothing and polarized against each other. They’re all bought and paid for by the same people. The real enemy are the wealthy, the “too big to fail” banks and corporations, the military-industrial complex and the people in government (to which I’ve alluded earlier) helping them grow richer and more powerful by the minute through various forms of Corporate Welfare – contracts, tax breaks, allowing overseas tax havens, you name it. As Yuri says, the goal of this conspiracy: “To change the perception of reality of every American to such an extent that despite the abundance of information, no one is able to come to sensible conclusions.” Remember, Yuri wrote his book in 1984 when the USSR was still in existence. What he didn’t realize is that money would change the narrative from Communist Tyranny vs Capitalist Freedom to Capitalist Tyranny vs Individual Freedom. IMHO, we’re more likely to see a new system of corporate republics dominating a dystopian future, instituting a high-surveillance, technically advanced police state and removing certain social freedoms, specifically criticism against the “Corporate Congress”. I hope I’m wrong. So, who’s running for any major office today that’s calling the corporatiions on their excessive influence on government? Nobody I can think of. Who’s NOT in the pockets of the rich and powerful?

          15. WaltDizzy says

By the way, doesn’t that also work in the OTHER direction also? If I’m hypocritical in thinking Bush and Cheney had a profit motive AND I’ve presented some facts about them both to link them to war profiteering industries and then added innuendo to provide the missing link between what I can’t prove and what I want to have you think is likely based on what we DO KNOW … then why cant Cleon present some REAL facts that link people to events and organizations in the SAME WAY and then through innuendo provide the missing link between what he can’t prove and what he want to have us think IS likely … based on what we DO KNOW. This is epistemology 101. I’m just using his methods to illustrate my point like he illustrates his. Neither one of us can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the parties we suspect acted in the way we suspect for the motives we suspect. Where’s that hypocrisy now?

          16. MAHB001 says

Yes, it does work both ways….. It would be hypocritical not to CONSIDER that Bush and Cheney had a profit motive… And I have, but I have come to a different conclusion than you… Here is why. Bush still has the benefit of doubt. 0bama and the socialists in control don’t.
It would also be hypocritical NOT to have given 0bama the benefit of doubt, which I did until 0bama (and Hillary) was proven beyond a shadow of doubt to be a liar. 0bamacare lies, and Benghazi are 0bama’s lies that have been proven to me beyond a shadow of doubt. (Believe me I do not take this lightly, even for people I do not like)
Things change when you are branded a liar.. Only a fool trusts the words of a proven liar at face value.
So I would say that your conspiracy about Bush is plausible… But I put a low probability on it actually being true…
Why, because Bush has not been proven a liar, and thus he still deserves the benefit of doubt… In order to believe your theory, Bush would have to be a very evil person. His actions just play him out as evil in that way. Have you seen what he does for the troops? Bush shows true compassion, concern and care for those troops. That just doesn’t add up with the evil that you brand him with. Not in my mind.
So to wrap up this part of our conversation.
Did Bush and Cheney sit down and say, “We need money, lets go to war.” I would say no. Money and/or the economy was not in the equation.
Was there some crony capitalism going on… Hell yes, you have proven that. It looks like they may have pulled some strings to award Halliburton the contracts… But, it is my understanding (correct me if I am wrong) that Cheney resigned the post at Halliburton while he held office. (Unlike Clinton) You make some very compelling points on this subject.
As for Cleon, I feel there is enough hard evidence to move his writings from theory to fact. Hell, they have been so successful at the agenda items that they can’t even hide their success. Democrats are out and out socialists now. Every single item on Cleon’s list has been adopted and OPENLY pushed by liberals.
Finally, for this post, you are absolutely right about the corruption and crony capitalism favors that both sides are doing. Did you know that when CA decided to sell off all the closed Post offices, that there was only ONE Realtor that could do it? Feinstein’s Husband was awarded the contract without an open bid process….. BILLIONS of dollars of real estate… There are so many examples, the Clinton foundation, 0bamacare program, etc… This crap has got to stop. I see one way is to impose term limits on all public offices.

          17. WaltDizzy says

I see. Please correct me if I am wrong but it seems the main reasons you stated for your position are:
“Here is why. Bush still has the benefit of doubt. 0bama and the socialists in control don’t.”
“So I would say that your conspiracy about Bush is plausible… But I put a low probability on it actually being true…***Why, because Bush has not been proven a liar,*** and thus he still deserves the benefit of doubt… ”
            Additionally you asserted:
“Only a fool trusts the words of a proven liar at face value.”

On these forums I often see people directing others to certain other websites and sources to prove their point. Obviously, it is in the best interest of that person to provide corroborating evidence for their position. However, most of these are then shot down on the basis of political agenda. It can then be asserted, and most often RIGHTLY SO, that the website or source provided has a definable political agenda and is therefore NOT a credible or factual source. Therefore, it is not to be believed and must be dismissed as untrustworthy within the context of the debate.

I don’t want you and I to fall into that trap regarding your above contentions. Therefore, may I suggest that you simply Google: “George W. Bush + Proven Lies”. See what comes up. But, most importantly, use only that information which you yourself have honestly determined to be the most objective and factual. Notice, I didn’t say they had to be “absolutely” 100% objective and factual. I’m not sure that’s possible. After all, it’s all observed and written by fallible human beings. (just like you and me) That’s why I’ve carefully chosen the wording to say: “the MOST objective and factual” by your own judgement. This is on the honor system so only you can grade yourself on how TRULY non-biased the information you’ve chosen actually is. However it does measure character and truthfulness which I know you hold dear. So, if you would, just give it your best quick shot as time allows and share your best 2 or 3 most objective and factual sources relating to the truthfulness of George W. Bush. Once we’ve established common ground regarding his ‘proven truthfulness’, we can revisit your premises as stated above.

          18. MAHB001 says

I hope you realize that your search on google and my search on google will not return the same results,,, But that is a different topic.

Here is the results from the top two on my search…

“WASHINGTON (CNN) — President Bush and his top aides publicly
made 935 false statements about the security risk posed by Iraq in the
two years following September 11, 2001, according to a study released
Tuesday by two nonprofit journalism groups.”

The article goes on to describe all these false statements as if the people were lying… I think we must define a lie,,, I would consider all the false statements as WRONG, not as lies..

The second is a Huff Post article. The essential part is:

“And that’s why the two most essential lies — among the many — in his
new memoir are that he had a legitimate reason to invade Iraq, and that
he had a legitimate reason to torture detainees.”

Neither article provides proof that Bush lied…

Here is a googled definition for wrong: I would say #3 applies.

            1. not in accordance with what is morally right or good:
            a wrong deed.

            2. deviating from truth or fact; erroneous:
            a wrong answer.

            3. not correct in action, judgment, opinion, method, etc., as a person; in error:
You are wrong to blame him.

and a googled definition for lying: I would say #2 applies

            1. the telling of lies, or false statements; untruthfulness:
From boyhood, he has never been good at lying.
            Synonyms: falsehood, falsity, mendacity, prevarication.
            Antonyms: truth, veracity.

2.telling or containing lies; deliberately untruthful; deceitful; false:
            a lying report.
Synonyms: deceptive, misleading, mendacious, fallacious; sham, counterfeit.
Antonyms: true, candid, actual, correct, accurate, trustworthy.

So I will ask you to go through these articles and find one that has the smoking gun proof that Bush lied,,, So far all that anyone has been able to prove to me is that Bush was WRONG.

As you can see from the above definitions there is a huge difference..

          19. WaltDizzy says

“Plausible Deniability” has been the name of the game since the first politician ever opened his mouth thousands of years ago. Statements are carefully worded to be given ‘fresh meaning’ or ‘clarification’ should the need arise. If we apply your “burden of proof” test then I think it’s safe to say that VERY VERY few politicians ever lie. They’re all just WRONG. But remember – what’s sauce for the goose must then also be sauce for the gander in EXACTLY the same way. We cannot apply double standards simply to further our own agenda/opinion. We can’t have it both ways. So now we Google: “Barack Obama + Proven Lies”. If we use your suggested criteria of what constitutes a lie, we have to give Obama the same WRONG pass we’re giving Bush. To do otherwise would indicate that we’re really not being intellectually honest after all and, REALLY transparently, already like one and hate the other and will “shape” the facts to match our conclusions. So, what’s the definitive criteria we can use for every statement by any party which will always apply to test for the difference between what is a lie and was just wrong. I must be something finite and absolute. Otherwise it degenerates into differing opinions based only on personal perceptions. What should that litmus test be?

P.S. Your Google search seems to have brought up the same results I saw when I did the search. Not so different after all …this time, anyway.

          20. MAHB001 says

True, very very few politicians have been caught lying…. They are experts at hiding behind plausible deniability, and that no doubt frustrates just about everybody on both sides…

Until proven a liar, I give everybody the benefit of doubt, even 0bama, but once proven a liar, the individual no longer gets the benefit if doubt. They no longer have credibility, and everything they say must be viewed suspiciously.

            Proven Presidential lies,while in office.

Nixon, he resigned rather than face impeachment.
Bill Clinton. Faced impeachment and remarkably was not thrown out of office and has gone down in history as the first president to be caught lying in office and hold that post to the end of his term.
0bama. Looks as if he won’t even face impeachment, But 0bama’s lies are to the American People and affect them directly.

As for 0bama’s lies, he has two that have been proven beyond a shadow of doubt. Both lies have been obfuscated by the same corrupt left leaning media that leads its viewers to believe that being wrong is lying.

Benghazi- 0bama and Hillary’s lies were that they thought the violence and deaths were caused by a youtube video, The real question is when did they know?

In this video Obama admits in his own words that he knew that the attack was a terrorist attack 3 days after the Susan Rice misinformation Sunday. That puts the date at 9/19/12. But this was 6 full days before 0bama gave his speech at the UN on 9/25/12.

            /watch?v=58LrJJMxSM4 time 3:33

This proves beyond a shadow of a doubt with 0bama’s OWN words that he personally knew that the attack was not a reaction to a video, and HE Continued to LIE to not only the American People but to the UN.

In addition, Leon Pannetta told Bill O’Reilly that when he talked to the President the night of the attack, it was understood that the attack was a terrorist attack. that interview was on Oct 7 2014…

Do I need to explain the, 0bamacare lies, or is Anthony Grubers, videos good enough?

I treat everybody with the same respect, I am not a hypocrite, and I value my integrity, So where have I gone wrong?

It takes Trump to get the ball rolling the Senate could have done a lot more but they set on their butts and listen to McConnell and that so called speaker that’s afraid they will offend Obama!! They are afraid of Obama for some reason those two need to GO!!

    1. Mark Lahti says

I keep saying this over and over again. I hope people start paying attention soon. We have a 54 to 46 majority in the senate. Whenever we try to pass something in there the POS HTNIC will veto it. It takes a 60 to 40 vote to override a veto. Reid will never let that happen. Therefore McConnell is as useless as a screen door in a submarine. Good luck with that one. We’re screwed still.

Planned Parenthood has absolutely NO business receiving ANY tax money whatsoever.
If they are a women’s health care organization, why on earth are the tax payers paying a single red cent for that? And now the truth has reared it’s ugly head about these disgusting murders (abortions), they should be shutdown.

  5. Bill Sturdivant says

Nobody but an imbecile would consider defunding the military, especially during a time period where we are inviting nuclear bombs in our back yard from Iran, delivered by ICBM’s that we are funding.

Law enforcement, E-Verify and stiff penalties on employers hiring illegal immigrants would drastically cut down on illegals and substantially pay for much of the medical, child care , food stamps, legal services , etc that we are currently accruing AND WILL continue to incurr in the future resulting directly from ILLEGALS and our stupidity for allowing them. Bill Sturdivant

    1. Tom says

Lets tell Obama to rent ten jetliners and stuff them full of Illegals fly them to Syria and pick up ten loads of political refugees and fly them to Mexico no Brazil (it will take them longer to get to the states) as replacements for the ones we sent to Syria.

      1. Michelle Minze-Bryant says

(Applaud) Wonderful idea. My idea is to send the illeagals to Ellis Island and Alcatraz, give them some cows and chickens, no goats and chickens, boxes of dirt and seeds to be self-sufficient. Give the refugees only pigs. But also, all the illeagals that should be deported, send them back to Mexico, and build them a huge prison so they can’t escape and come back. That way they will be serving the time they deserve and they won’t come back for a while.

Same with refugees. Let them do their pilgrimage and STAY! they built that huge mosque, add a lot of rooms surrounding it. Build a huge wall around to protect them, dirt, seeds, chickens and cows.

        1. Tom says

Ellis island is a national park so that wont work think statue of liberty. Alcatraz is condemned but I like the idea of building a massive skyscraper prison in Mexico but with all the corruption in Mexico they would be out in no time. The south Pole is uninhabited .

Impeach Pelosi for the fog she caused with Obama care. Impeach John Kerry for his contemptuous control and division of the country’s that hate, US. The money he stole from every tax payer to play Russian Roulette with and the communists he keeps in control. Remove Susan Rice from her position.
Impeach Schumer and Debbie Wasserman Schultz for teaching the Jews , blacks, Mexicans to hate this country and the countries that is their home. Why are all these refugees coming here they have land and don’t want to leave their homes , every time I see clips of all the danger there they all have cell phones they have signals, they have there own cultures, let them live in peace. Give the refugees Iraq. Its time to take over Mexico, if Obama would like he could become historical and lead us through Mexico, that is cheaper than building a wall, I have no doubt that every Mexican and others would help us Americans fight to take over Mexico, I am sure Mexicans will fight on the side of America . I read some of the news today, Hillary Rodham Clinton thinks she might have MS, is this the truth ? What makes Trump think that he doesn’t need Fox and vice versa, he made every news outlet happy, he made me very unhappy, now they, the other news stations have their gotcha moment.
See the statue of America, Lady Liberty , with a male statue, maybe he will hold the rainbow flag. That is just sick.

It appears that this writer has noticed what many of us have noticed, and what should be obvious to anyone not living under that proverbial rock: Nothing good happens, in spite of all the rhetoric, when The Republican Party is in power in D. C. Unless we consider a very slight slowdown in the headlong leftward plunge to total government ownership and control of all goods and services, and people, that characterizes The Democrat Party. After all, “Republicans”, so-called, that run the party, have to hold up a semblance of opposition as they “tread water” and wait for the Democrats, so-called, to regain the majority and fully restore the status-quo. (What they call two steps forward, one step back, two steps forward, one step back.) For us,”we, the people” that means two steps backward toward tyranny, one step forward toward the hope of restoration of freedom of opportunity, two steps backward toward establishing total rule of men and women, not of law, one step forward toward restoration of rule of law, not of men and women, two steps backward, one step forward, two steps backward, one step forward . . . .

We need a new party that stands for conservative principles and will have the spine to fight for Constitutional rule as the Constitution is written. Then we can just say, “screw the Republican Party, the party of failing and lies.”

It won’t cost anything to stop giving illegals welfare, foodstamps, housing etc., Many will self deport, Start using E-verify and more will go. We would be saving millions of dollars and we could use that money we save to build the wall plus it would put a lot of people back to work.

  35. Chuck says

Right on, MAHBOO1!!!!!!!!! However, you left out getting Old McConnell out of the way.

  36. MuslimLuvChrist says

democraps are now pushing green cards for asylees, refugees, and visa recipients, as well as illegals!
these people will become citizens, and vote, after being granted asylum/refugee status and physically present in the U.S. for 1 year after the grant of asylum/refugee status,

Republicans should of had the BALLS to defund and abolish the entire DHS and
start over with the idea of protecting Americans!!!!

obama/kerry/johnson/clinton/et al. don’t care about Americans, they just want to increase the democrapic illegal voter pool by making voting citizens out of over 70,000 refugees per year, and

The GOP primary doesn’t matter, ALL of your votes have been nullified!
    clinton will be president
thru massive voter fraud from asylees, refugees, visa recipients, States issuing driver’s licenses and ID cards to ILLEGALS, and
SCOTUS’ decision that nobody needs to show proof-of-citizenship when registering to vote and when casting a vote, especially by mail in ballot, NOW DC agrees with this, thus
    clinton will be president

    democrats are giving illegals:
lawsuit wins over companies (like Nebraska Beef Ltd) trying to legally use E-Verify
(only 8 states use the NATIONAL E-Verify system, why?),
jobs at the DNC, jobs on citizen advisory panels, jobs to practice law, drivers’ licenses to register and vote, changes to the Oath of Allegiance so that illegals no longer promise to defend the US.

illegals gave democrats: obama wins in 2008 and 2012, Franken thus obamacare (thus illegals will get free obamacare), over 49,000 fraudulent votes in CA in Nov 2012.

    PROBLEM: Unauthorized visitors

DEFINITION: Unauthorized visitors are those persons who enter a country without legal authorization and those who overstay their authorized period.

CAUSES, REASONS, AND PROVENANCE: The main reason for unauthorized visitors is that people want and hope to improve their lives and the lives of their families and will gravitate to those situations where the economics provide the incentives to make the change.

DISCUSSION: I think all would stipulate that anyone has the right to attempt to better his or her conditions insofar as those efforts do not infringe upon the rights of others.

Each nation has the right and obligation to establish immigration laws for the orderly and rational
    assimilation of authorized immigrants.

Do the following comments provide justification for unauthorized immigration?

    1. Unauthorized immigrants are looking to better their situations.

    2. Unauthorized immigrants provide inexpensive labor and are hard workers.

    3. This Nation was built upon immigrants.

    4. It is virtually impossible to find and deport 12,000,000 unauthorized immigrants.

The answers to the above four should be an unequivocal “NO”.

If anyone disagrees with that, I will appreciate his or her reasoning for a “yes” response.

A foolproof system must be devised, implemented, with substantial penalties for non-compliance that will verify a person’s legal authorization to work in the United States.

The concept of “anchor babies” should be eliminated, either by a pragmatic interpretation of the 14th
Amendment (displaced the disputed Civil Rights legislation of 1866, which was passed by Congress over Andrew Johnson’s veto, and which was proposed by Congress six months after the 13th Amendment had been ratified), by Congressional legislation in accordance with Section 5 of the 14th Amendment, or by a Constitutional Amendment, that could and should be passed by the House and
Senate and ratified by the requisite 38 states within a year.

There should be a $4.00 (arbitrary) per gallon increase in the federal excise tax on gasoline and
    diesel, at the pump.

A tax credit would be allowed any U.S. taxpayer (who possesses a valid driver’s license and submits proof of vehicle registration and proof of insurance) in the amount of $2,000.00 per year (10,000 miles @ 20 MPG = 500 gallons, thus, 500 X $4.00 = $2,000.00).

Ancillary benefits would include that this federal excise tax would be collected from all visitors, authorized and unauthorized, and this would stimulate purchasers of new vehicles to demand
more mileage efficiency, i.e., there would be no need for the government to force manufacturers to increase mileage efficiencies. The marketplace would be effective.

Federal legislation should be passed that would eliminate all minimum wage laws. The “minimum wage”
concept should be replaced with a massive expansion of the EITC regulations, which would cover all U.S. taxpayers who are older than 22 years of age.

Another benefit would be that labor costs would be shifted from “above-the-line” to
“below-the-line”, making our industries more competitive.

CONCLUSION: If the above changes were legislated, a substantial number of unauthorized visitors would conclude that it would be better to end their visits, since the economics of remaining in the
United States, without authorization, would be substantially diminished.

After a year, the situation should be reviewed and adjustment should be made to further the resolution of this serious matter.

It is logical that a newborn should assume the nationality of the mother, regardless of the venue of the
birth, therefore, the strategy of a mother, who has no authorization to be in the U.S., giving birth in the United States should be of no consequence.

This is a nascent effort at offering a pragmatic and rational solution to this serious matter.

NOTES: This will be a process, i.e., not an overnight solution. I will appreciate all comments, critical
as well as supportive, with the former being most appreciated if rational reasons are included.

Representative Sherman is aware of this article, has promised a response and has failed to do so. We, the People are begging for leaders, not pure politicians who have embedded within their DNA the need to withhold the truth.

MAHB001 I agree 100% if they do not due any thing may time for some recall vote or some thing to show these two that we are watching them..Tom Hilton is 100% right also …let all these do nothing know that we are tired of the no actions that they are doing…Hope that Trump is possible a man that can solve part of our frustrations

  40. Obie Miller says

We,as citizens, can not pick and choose which laws we wish to obey or ignore. If we ignore an established law, and intentionally violate it, we have intentionally committed a crime. Should it become known that we have violated the law, we are subject to arrest. Our constitution clearly states that laws must be passed by congress, and we have legal immigration laws already in place that are being violated. What is wrong with this picture?

All I know obie these people they have in the white house and in the seats of congress are not playing by the rules..They are America’s and the people’s enemy within… Thing is who gonna start doing what to stop them and remove them…It’s starting to get scary and I know people better act quick cause their moving fast on us..Is it gonna be the citizens and militias military… who can stop what their doing to us… I think its time for people in cities town’s to start holding meetings and figure this out quick on how to act on this crisis …what ever it is if somebody figures it out,, I’m in .. It’s time for Americans to start running and controlling our country insteed of them letting the enemy control and running us… I also think as soon as they remove that pos in white house america can only get better…

  41. GuardianFlame says

Well well well. Republicans are like the new husband who just can’t get it up…promises a wonderful evening, but can’t perform to make it happen. And the GOP is wondering why people are leaving that political party????

Boehner should have resigned years ago. He is the most worthless man in Congress. He pretends to appease Americans, then he jumps on obama’s bandwagon of events without even looking back at the masses he led to slaughter. He is worse than a rapist, he is a sadist. Thank God he is stepping down…long time coming.

Do you actually think the GOP will change anything happening in this corrupted government? Do you? They had plenty of opportunities these past few years to spit in obama’s face and every time they succumbed to bho’s insane demands. Why is this? What control does bho have over these supposed Conservatives that run with their tails between their legs when obama barks a command? What has happened to these men/women to make them fear obama and his henchmen? Has complete EVIL (via bho) taken over our Federal Govt so none of these individuals actually realize what their actions are doing to our Nation…like under a hypnotic spell? You are aware that the horned one can do that to people, convince them they are doing good, when in fact they are destroying lives?

In order for our government to function back on a Conservative level of strength, the present Congress needs to be purged of all the frightened little girls afraid to do their jobs and slapping their “oaths to office” in the face. These are worthless people only bent on the jingle in their pockets and their comfy lifestyles — not individuals willing to fight for the survival of our nation. Does anyone even care any more about our Nation or are all of them Narcissistic halfwits? How do we get rid of the useless and insert the directed and dedicated to our Nation? Any ideas???

I’ve lost so much faith in the GOP that when they call for a donation I hang up on their clueless butts.
So perhaps this is why Trump has so many followers? He doesn’t fit the mindset of the typical congressman or President…something more honest and forthwith? We do need a major change, but one that builds our Nation, not destroy it like the idiot muslim in the W.H. is trying to do. Why is he even walking around any more…

Republicans will fail again because they have no spine. They are lapdogs of the commieonazis in the Government. They are worthless. We need a third party that is truly conservative. If we can elect just one real conservative that is not a Republican, he/she can make a difference. When it comes down to the final vote, his/hers will count just as much as anyone else’s. Once there is one in the Congress, the party can spread.

They say its illegal, than have the pos in jail.if I broke the law I would be in why not the crooks in the goverment????????

  48. nomasillegals says

We would save millions in the long run by cutting out welfare, foodstamps, housing, even free cell phones, etc., many would self deport, we start using E-Verify and more will self deport. Most illegals come here to live the good life of freebies. Obama has tied the hands of border patrol agents and caused many dangerous people into this country who go on to commit murders and rapes. We have to let them kill us or rape us until they can be arrested.

    1. WaltDizzy says

Good start. Are the McConnell figures annual, lifetime or latest campaign only? We should compare apples to apples with McCarthy either way.
