DECLASSIFY: Trump Orders “Unredacted” DOJ Documents on McCabe, Comey, Strzok, and More
President Trump sent out a direct order to the Department of Justice and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence this week that could bring about the beginning of the end for the left’s insipid Russia investigation.
With the order, which demands that the two offices release FBI reports, FISA applications, and unredacted text messages without further delay, Trump will put power back in the hands of Congress and the American people. And with this bright spotlight shining on the misdeeds of the Obama Justice Department (and the holdovers who tried to ruin Trump’s presidency), you’re going to see the cockroaches scatter like never before.
Included in the release will be 21 pages of the FISA application the FBI presented to obtain a foreign surveillance warrant against Carter Page, a Trump campaign adviser who, though he was essentially accused of being a Russian spy, has yet to be charged with a single crime in connection with the 2016 campaign. Republicans say the FBI relied on a piece of political opposition research known as the Steele dossier to obtain the warrants, neglecting to fully inform the FISA court of its Clinton campaign origins. An unredacted copy of the warrant, even in part, will give Americans a deeper glimpse into just how transparent (or not) the FBI was when bringing its extraordinary powers of surveillance to bear against an American citizen.
Fox News reports that the “documents to be declassified also include all FBI reports on interviews with Justice Department official Bruce Ohr and all FBI reports of interviews prepared in connection with all other applications to surveil Carter Page.” Additionally, text messages – stripped of redaction – are to be released showing communications from Lisa Page, Peter Strzok, Ohr, James Comey, and former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.
Democrats, knowing that this release is about to blow up their entire fictional case against the president, are fit to be tied.
House Intelligence Committee member Adam Schiff (D-CA) said, “Trump has decided to intervene in a pending law enforcement investigation by ordering the selective release of materials he believes are helpful to his defense team and thinks will advance a false narrative. With respect to some of these materials, I have been previously informed by the FBI and Justice Department that they would consider their release a red line that must not be crossed as they may compromise sources and methods. This is evidently of no consequence to a President who cares about nothing about the country and everything about his narrow self-interest.”
Well, Mr. Schiff, in this instance, Trump’s interests and the country’s interests are one. It is time for the American people to be shown, in no uncertain terms, that this was a political witch hunt from the word go. It’s time for voters to know the depths to which the Obama regime sank in an effort to throw Trump’s campaign off course. It’s time for everyone to wake up and realize what the Democratic Party is guilty of doing in the name of political gain.
If these documents get us a step closer to that moment, Trump’s order is nothing less than an act of patriotism.
