(FixThisNation.com) – A top progressive group on Monday released its extensive research in opposition of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in an effort to block his suspected presidential ambitions before the governor announces his intentions for the 2024 presidential election.
The research was publicized through the creation of a website titled “DeSantisResearchBook,” which seeks to showcase how DeSantis is a “MAGA extremist.” On the website, they point out his previous voting record during his time in office, as well as information on his stance on key issues such as the environment, abortion, hurricane relief, entitlement programs (Social Security and Medicare), and the economy. The website was created by American Bridge 21st Century, and on their website, the group calls out DeSantis for being a “failed governor” and “hypocrite.” However, the report does not consist of any really big allegations.
Based on the information that they are presenting the group also called DeSantis a “bumbling, corrupt and authoritarian politician” following his feud with Disney in the past year.
Pat Dennis, the president of the group, claimed that DeSantis was too focused on his “culture wars” and was completely unprepared to handle the pressure that came with becoming a presidential candidate or nominee.
While DeSantis has not yet announced his intentions for the 2024 election, it is widely suspected that he is going to be the biggest challenger against former president Donald Trump in the GOP primary. While DeSantis is still trailing behind Trump in most of the polls he is the only other Republican to have hit double digits in his support levels.
