(FixThisNation.com) – Despite the outbreak of the recent scandal surrounding the classified documents found in Biden’s possession, President Biden is still focusing his attention on his reelection plans.

According to one source, despite everything, Biden is still focused on his 2024 campaign bid announcement and is working on his reelection campaign plans. Many sources close to the campaign have said that Biden is looking to announce his reelection campaign after the State of the Union address on Feb. 7. It is then expected that a more formal campaign launch will take place in the spring.

However, the recent discovery of the classified documents from the Obama administration found in Biden’s possession has led House Republicans to be reinvigorated in their investigations. What’s more, the Department of Justice is also probing into the mishandled documents. To oversee the DOJ’s investigation, Attorney General Merrick Garland has appointed a special counsel to the case.

White House allies have maintained that the American people care more about key issues like the economy, than about some technicalities relating to the classified documents being found. Biden has had a number of victories in recent months, with the inflation rate slowing down, and job growth continuing.

Still, there are Democrats who are concerned about the effects of the story of the classified material on the President. One Democratic strategist noted that while this case might not be the end-all, it will definitely detract time away from the campaign and is likely to overtake the campaign.
