(FixThisNation.com) – The Federal Bureau of Investigation has refused to hand over a document subpoenaed by House Republicans which allegedly contains information about a bribery scheme that involved Joe Biden during his time serving as Vice-President.

On Monday, during a private meeting with the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, the FBI refused to hand over the unclassified FD-1023 document which contains details about the criminal allegations of a pay-to-play scheme that involved the Biden family. The document was first brought to the committee’s attention after an FBI whistleblower spoke with Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa.

The subpoena issued by Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., who chairs the Oversight Committee had previously set the deadline by May 10. Comer has noted that he wanted to work with Senate Republicans to keep the FBI’s budget “hostage” until there was a change in the leadership of the FBI or the document was given to them.

On Monday told Fox News that the agency does not “respect anyone in Congress” because they have for years gotten away with this. He pointed out that the Senate continued to provide funding to the FBI, and the media did not call the agency out. He proceeded to state that if everyone is doing what you want there is no reason for you to change your business model.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., also stated on Friday that he had talked with FBI Director Christopher Wray and that he was positive that the agency would provide the document in due time. McCarthy in a separate statement to Fox News, said that he had told the director that they would do everything in their power to get access to the document, and reminded him that they have jurisdiction over the FBI.
