(FixThisNation.com) – An attorney for Hunter Biden has responded harshly to a request by the House GOP and is handling the investigation into the Biden family’s business dealings. Biden’s attorney denied the request for information and documents from the Oversight Committee on the grounds that it did not have a “legislative purpose.”
Abbe Lowell, Hunter Biden’s attorney, in his letter response specifically wrote that using baseless and false conclusions and calling it a “real investigation, turns the Committee into ‘Wonderland’ and you into the Queen of Hearts shouting.” He continued by noting that the Committee’s comments about the investigation being used for legislative purposes in order for stronger ethics laws to be produced for public officials and their families are nothing but a thinly veiled attempt to try and create a legislative purpose when there isn’t one.
Despite the refusal of handing through documents, Lowell did offer to talk with House Oversight Chairman Comer, ranking member Raskin (D-Md.), and the committee to actually discuss whether Hunter Biden did have in his possession any actual information that could be useful for “legislative purpose(s).”
Comer had previously sent Hunter a letter request on Wednesday evening in which he asked for a wide range of documents, communications, contracts and transactions to be handed over. In his statement, he had noted that this evidence would help ascertain whether the Biden family business had been built on the backbone of Biden’s political career.
