Liberals’ Denial of Monkeypox Spread via Gay S**

Research data has established that sex between men is the dominant means of spreading monkeypox, and liberals are finding it difficult to defend their advocacy for homosexuality in the face of harsh scientific facts.

Last week, research published in the New England Journal of Medicine revealed that 95% of the confirmed monkeypox cases were caused by the transmission of the virus during gay sex, either between gay men or bisexual men.

NBC reported that epidemiologists believe that monkeypox began in mid-spring gatherings of gay and bisexual men in Europe. On the transmission of the virus in the United States, the story added:

Public health experts also theorize that major LGBTQ Pride gatherings in June may have facilitated transmission of the virus.

The mainstream media’s narrative on the monkeypox infection has been ambivalent. They are trying to make it sound really serious as the World Health Organization (WHO) already declared it a global health emergency a week ago, and the establishment news factory doesn’t want to go against the WHO.

After all, yet another health emergency can be used to take away freedoms and make billions off another vaccine—the never-ending wet dreams of the Biden regime.

However, the fact that spreading monkeypox has been causally linked to gay sex has created a big bump in the way of left’s health emergency narrative. The last thing they want is lose their LGBT political card by blaming the gay and bisexual men who have been spreading the infection via sex with other men.

In their own worldview, this amounts to homophobia even if science shows it’s true. Add to this the recent admission of the CDC director Rochelle Walensky that monkeypox cases in children have been traced back to the gay community.

Left-leaning news sources have started the defensive campaign to defend gay and bisexual men from any fingers pointing at them over the spread of monkeypox. Connecticut Mirror on July 29 published a post titled ‘Monkeypox is not a gay disease’ that called out “homophobic leaders” for having “weaponized diseases as a way to depict homosexuality as ‘dirty’ or all about sex.”

The Washington Times noted that it’s difficult to ignore comparing the monkeypox outbreak to the early response to HIV/AIDS, which was marked by stigma and early failures. The story pointed to the efforts of LGBT activists trying to stop officials from stigmatizing gay communities.

Alternative news sources like Natural News, on the other hand, are warning that the CDC is doing all it can to avoid offending the LGBT community as against the United Kingdom’s Health Security Agency (UKHSA), which is specifically aiming precautionary measures at members of the LGBT community to stop the spread of monkeypox.

Currently, the WHO has recommended for gay and bisexual men to limit their sexual partners so as to reduce the spread of monkeypox. This is a soft-worded confession that the monkeypox outbreak is primarily a problem of sexually active gay men. David Kaufman wrote in The New York Post on Saturday that political correctness has helped turn monkeypox into a global emergency.

The big question, particularly for liberals, remains: can gay and bisexual men be presented simply as victims of an international outbreak without being held responsible for the health emergency?
