(FixThisNation.com) – Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., took to Twitter to once again reiterate that the Biden administration should “simply ignore” the federal court’s ruling in Texas which would ban access to the abortion pill mifepristone. She also once again defended her position that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas needed to be impeached.

In a series of tweets, Ocasio-Cortez noted that the ruling was “judicial overreach” as it would force the executive branch to limit access and availability of mifepristone.

Regarding Thomas, while she did not mention him explicitly she did argue that those judges “repeatedly break the law” needed to face impeachment. She added that if “lifetime appointees” are not impeached when they are caught breaking laws then that would show a high level of “corruption.

As she continued to note in her tweets the different branches of government served different functions. She further added that Biden’s executive authority gives him the right to determine which rulings should be enforced and which should not be.

She also compared the current situation regarding the abortion pill to the Trump administration’s decision to not restore the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy despite being ordered by a court to do so. She added that while the “GOP are losing their mind over this,” there is a precedent that they have also used. She specifically noted that despite what the court had ordered, Trump had GOP support when choosing to not restore DACA.
