Ted Cruz Blasts “Idiotic Proposal” to Remove Cops From Schools

While Americans who are willing to stop school shootings by any means necessary are discussing proposals that go as far as arming teachers to keep these institutions of learning safe from psychos carrying their mom’s AR-15 rifle, Democrats are now pushing in the exact opposite direction, demanding that even police officers be removed from public school campuses.

As part of the overall anti-cop movement currently coursing through the veins of the nation, Democrats in Minneapolis and elsewhere are considering measures that would (once again) leave our country’s students sitting ducks for the next deranged shooter.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said the obvious, saying that “this idiotic proposal would tragically result in MORE school shootings.”

“Dems have lost their minds,” he tweeted. “Having met repeatedly w/victims, parents & teachers hurt by gun violence in schools, the single most effective way to keep our kids safe is more armed police officers in schools.”

The movement to rid schools of police is gaining momentum across the country. Denver School Board Director Tay Anderson celebrated Friday, proclaiming, “WE HAVE THE VOTES!!!” to remove police officers from the district’s schools. Denver is, of course, only a hop, skip, and a jump from Jefferson County’s Columbine High School – ground zero for modern school shootings. One wonders how many people Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold would have killed had an officer been on site to stop their rampage early.

The madness doesn’t begin or end in Colorado, unfortunately. School districts in Minneapolis, Portland, and Los Angeles are also having serious talks about removing cops from schools.

“We have to dismantle white supremacy. We must defund the police and bring in the mental health services that our students need,” said Cecily Myart-Cruz, the president of an L.A. teacher’s union.

No, we need to fund mental health initiatives that address the delusions suffered by racial activists, democratic socialists, and Democrats. Although, honestly, we’re not sure there’s enough money in America to properly accomplish that feat. These people are too far gone.
