Trump Advisor: This Witch Hunt Cost Me My Home!

Michael Caputo, who did some work as a communications advisor to the Trump campaign, went ballistic on Democrat senators on Tuesday, blasting the Trump/Russia investigation as a partisan farce that had cost him more than six figures in lawyer fees and forced his family out of their New York home.

Caputo said he had spent more than $125,000 on attorneys to help him respond to the Senate Intelligence Committee’s requests for documents, forcing him to mortgage his children’s future for no better reason that the Democrats’ zealous thirst to see Donald Trump impeached from office.

“What America needs is an investigation of the investigators,” Caputo said. “I want to know who is paying for the spies’ work and coordinating this attack on President Donald Trump! I want to know who cost us so much money, who crushed our kids, who forced us out of our home, all because you lost an election. I want to know because God Damn you to Hell.”

Caputo told the Democrats that despite raising more than $10,000 from public supporters, the legal bills were quickly pushing him into an unenviable financial situation. “I can’t possibly pay the attendant legal costs and live near my aging father, raising my kids where I grew up,” he said. “Your investigation and others into the allegations of Trump campaign collusion with Russia are costing my family a great deal of money – more than $125,000 – and making a visceral impact on my children.”

Caputo went further, outlining what he knew about the depths of the Senate Intelligence investigation and where it was they were getting their funding.

“Now I must to move back to Washington, New York City, Miami or elsewhere, just so I can make enough money to pay off these legal bills. And I know I have you to thank for that,” he said. “Here’s how I know: how many of you know Daniel Jones, former Senate Intelligence staffer for Senator Dianne Feinstein? Great guy, right? Most of you worked with him. One of you probably just talked to him this morning.

“Of course, very few of us in flyover country knew Daniel until recently. Now we know that he quit his job with your Senate committee not long ago to raise $50 million from ten rich Democrats to finance more work on the FusionGPS Russian dossier,” he continued. The one the FBI used to get a FISA warrant and intimidate President Donald Trump, without anyone admitting — until months after it was deployed — that it was paid for by Hillary Clinton.”

On all of this Caputo was telling nothing but the truth. Jones started funding the private Trump/Russia investigation in the early days of the Trump presidency, and it seems clear that he remains Fusion’s (and Christopher Steele’s) primary benefactor to this day. Democrats in the Senate are depending on this money and the phony “intelligence” it drums up to keep this charade alive, and Republicans in the Senate are too cowardly to put an end to it.

This is an investigation driven by phony, bought-and-paid for conspiracy theories and fueled by Establishment rage over what they consider to be the theft of the 2016 election. They are still outraged that the American people woke up and chose their OWN president for once, and they are determined to make everyone involved pay a hefty price.
