(FixThisNation.com) – Former President Donald Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social to suggest that on Tuesday he would be arrested as Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg appears to be closing in on his final decision on whether or not to indict Trump in connection to the hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
In his post, Trump starts by stating that according to “illegal leaks” he would be “arrested on Tuesday of next week.” He then proceeded to call on his supporters to “protest” against the arrest and “take our nation back.”
Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney, already testified before the grand jury earlier this week. Daniels has also met with the prosecutors in this case. Cohen’s testimony is going to be key for this investigation as he was the one that made the $130,000 payment to Daniels in exchange for her silence regarding her alleged affair with Trump. Cohen has maintained that the payment was made following the instructions of Trump and that he has been reimbursed for it.
Another sign that Bragg’s investigation might be nearing an end is the fact that Trump was also invited to testify before the grand jury. This is usually one of the final steps in an investigation and it shows that an indictment or a final decision on the probe is incoming. Trump’s attorney however has disclosed that Trump would not be testifying before the grand jury.
