(FixThisNation.com) – Former President Trump on Tuesday blasted Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and his wife, former Trump administration Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, for the “unnecessary turmoil” within the Republican party after the lower chamber failed to elect House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) as Speaker.

Trump said that the turmoil within the party is unnecessary and that in large part it has been caused by McConnell, Chao, and many of their “RINO” (Republicans in Name Only) allies. This is the latest statement that Trump has made against McConnell and his wife. Trump has also been criticized by McConnell and his wife for adopting a racist nickname to refer to Chao, a nickname which he used in his latest statement.

The former President’s statement came shortly after following Three votes for the Speakership the House failed to elect a speaker.

Democrat Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (N.Y.) held the majority of votes in all three rounds as all Democrats voted in his favor. However, that is not enough to win the position the Speaker needs to win 218 votes. McCarthy on the other hand has found a lot of opposition within his party, which holds 222 seats.

However, with 19 Republicans voting against McCarthy, he has so far only managed to win a little over 200 votes in each of the three rounds.

More importantly, by the third round, the number of Republicans opposing McCarthy grew to 20.
The House is now going to hold its fourth vote when it reconvenes on Wednesday afternoon.
