In a strike against the woke culture that is quickly and steadily ruining our country, President Donald Trump sent out a message on Friday demanding that any and all “critical race theory” trainings being given by the federal government come to an immediate end. The order came to light through a memo from Office and Budget Management Director Russell Vought, who did not mince words when it came to explaining why these trainings are exactly the last thing this nation needs right now.
“It has come to the President’s attention that Executive Branch agencies have spent millions of taxpayer dollars to date ‘training’ government workers to believe divisive, anti-American propaganda,” Vought wrote. “These types of ‘trainings’ not only run counter to the fundamental beliefs for which our Nation has stood since its inception, but they also engender division and resentment within the Federal workforce. The President has directed me to ensure that Federal agencies cease and desist from using taxpayer dollars to fund these divisive, un-American propaganda training sessions.”
Vought went on, criticizing trainings that teach workers that “virtually all white people contribute to racism,” and explained that some of the trainings say that there is “racism embedded in the belief that America is the land of opportunity or the belief that the most qualified person should receive a job.”
Anyone who has gotten even a whiff of critical race theory over the last five years knows that this is the case. Notions of running America as a meritocracy – rather than a never-ending diversity project – are regarded as inherently racist and geared towards perpetuating white supremacy.
Vought argued that these theories “engender division and resentment” among workers and go directly against the “fundamental beliefs” that forged this great nation.
“The days of taxpayer funded indoctrination trainings that sow division and racism are over,” Vought tweeted on Friday.
We’re certain that the left will view this as yet another sign that Trump is cynically using race to win the election, but we’re beyond the point where we should let them control the narrative. They’re going to lie, and lie blatantly, when it comes to matters involving race. Add Trump into the mix, and the lies grow even more obvious and reprehensible.
We’ll count on the face that the vast majority of Americans can see that these trainings are taking a corrosive toll on the country. And we’ll trust that most people can look at the situation in our nation these days and see which side is actually using race to divide us.
