This was a day we could see coming from miles away, and it doesn’t surprise us in the least to see a liberal university like Brown take the lead.
The disparity between the scientific truth about transgenderism and the politically-correct LGBT agenda could bridge the Grand Canyon, and when there is a chasm between the two, the left will make sure that “social justice” wins. Which is, of course, why we’re in a situation where kids are being taught that they don’t necessarily HAVE to identify with their birth sex. Why they’re being taught that gender is as much a choice as hairstyle or shoes. And why Brown University, after publishing a study that contained a few hard truths about the way transgenderism develops in young people, removed the article days later for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with science or truth.
The study, which discovered that transgender youth are often driven to change their gender identity by factors outside themselves such as peer pressure and social media, was found to “invalidate the perspectives of members of the transgender community,” according to the Brown dean. As such, the article was removed and Brown’s OWN STUDY has now been censored as a result of an LGBT backlash.
Lisa Littman, an assistant professor at Brown, authored the study. In her conclusions, Littman wrote: “In on-line forums, parents have been reporting that their children are experiencing what is described here as ‘rapid-onset gender dysphoria,’ appearing for the first time during puberty or even after its completion.
“The onset of gender dysphoria seemed to occur in the context of belonging to a peer group where one, multiple, or even all of the friends have become gender dysphoric and transgender-identified during the same timeframe,” she continued.
It is of course a brutal sledgehammer to the left’s new version of “truth” if 90% of this transgender madness is just a new version of youth rebellion and peer solidarity. A way to stick it to the “normies” and stand out. If that’s the case, it hardly makes sense to teach children about this “valid” life choice in school, to celebrate celebrities who have crossed the Rubicon, or to let boys use the girls’ bathrooms. For their little war on reality to succeed, they MUST get the world to believe that gender dysphoria is a totally natural and real thing that happens to a great many Americans and that it is the height of bigotry not to weave transgender people into the fabric of an inclusive society.
Now, no one wants to be told that they are the way they are because they watched too many YouTube videos as a teenager, but sometimes REALITY and SCIENCE don’t happen to match what’s going on in the little world you call a head. It is up to responsible academic researchers to tell the truth about this normalized insanity and it is incumbent on universities and institutions to publish that truth REGARDLESS of what liberal bleeding hearts think about it.
