White Women are Paying $2,500 to Learn How Racist They Are

In the Guardian this week there’s a fascinating (read: depressing) story about guilty liberal white women who are gleefully ponying up $2,500 to host dinners in which they sit and learn how racist they are.

These events are called Race to Dinner, and they are put on by Regina Jackson, a black woman, and Saira Rao, an Indian-American woman. While the whites are enjoying their appetizers and homemade pasta, the co-founders take them through exercises and discussions meant to highlight how – no matter how liberal and tolerant they may feel – these wealthy women are simply drowning in unchecked privilege.

What a way to spend a Saturday night!

From The Guardian:

It seems unlikely anyone would voluntarily go to a dinner party in which they’d be asked, one by one, “What was a racist thing you did recently?” by two women of color, before appetizers are served. But Jackson and Rao have hardly been able to take a break since they started these dinners in the spring of 2019. So far, 15 dinners have been held in big cities across the US.

The women who sign up for these dinners are not who most would see as racist. They are well-read and well-meaning. They are mostly Democrats. Some have adopted black children, many have partners who are people of color, some have been doing work towards inclusivity and diversity for decades. But they acknowledge they also have unchecked biases. They are there because they “know [they] are part of the problem, and want to be part of the solution,” as host Jess Campbell-Swanson says before dinner starts.

Have you ever seen such a racket? Have you ever even imagined such a thing? Not to denigrate or generalize, but honestly – how gullible are rich, white, liberal women that they would give away their (husbands’) money in order to sit around a table and be told how awful they are? Is this what guilt does to the human soul? Is this how completely the brainwashing has set in? It’s mind-boggling.

Listen to this woman speak up at the dinner about her latent racism: “I want to hire people of color. Not because I want to be … a white savior. I have explored my need for validation … I’m working through that … Yeah. Um … I’m struggling.”

You want to go in there and shake her and scream: You’re being grifted! None of this is your fault! All of your guilt and all of your pandering is not going to help a single minority in the world!

But of course, that wouldn’t be true. It’s helping Regina Jackson and Saira Rao to line their pockets.

But our favorite quote of the story is this one from Lisa Bond, a white woman who joined the scam to help Jackson and Rao bridge the racial gap.

“If Trump were impeached tomorrow and we got a new president, a lot of white liberal people will go back to living their lives just as before, and that’s what we have to prevent,” she says. “All that’s happened is we can see racism now, while before we could cover it up. That’s why we need these dinners. So when we get a new person in and racism is not as obvious, we won’t just crawl back to being comfortable.”

This is the mentality that Jackson, Rao, and every other social justice warrior has brought to the nation’s political discussion. It’s what you HAVE to believe. Because if you don’t, you’re still left with the obvious truth that race relations are worse than they’ve been in decades. And how else to explain that except to realize that the SJW left, concepts like white privilege, and events like Race to Dinner are actually responsible for the deterioration?

These are not magnifying glasses, illuminating what’s already there. These are wrecking balls, destroying the progress this country has made over the last 70 years. It’s quite a shame that so few people get it.
